The Paradise Weekly Gazette 2: 16 to 22 November

Konichi-greetings my dear and precious Island Guests. With another week  of blogging we have taken another step in me being recognised as the pinkest geek blogger IN THE WORLD. Because it was my Birthday week and my Laptop crashed I was not able to write as big and much as I wanted.. but  we still got a week’s worth of blogging!  So how about we take you through this week of blogging to see if you missed anything! Once again  Flip Flappers was my favourite view of the week, but Natsume Book of Shadows came very close!  Digimon was very exciting as well and I will remember  the dog episode of Cowboy Bebop for a good while to come!  Slime.. was okay.. but has been in a bit of a rut for me.    Hikaru no Go was a miss for me this week. I don’t expect anime to be good all the time and there was a lot to set up.. so it’s forgivable.. but it really was the weaker view of the week!  Next week will be the finale for Flip Flappers! So I would like some suggestions for a new Magical Girl show in the comments! Yes I am replacing the magical girl show with a magical girl show! 

Pinkie’s Other Posts

No Staff posts this week still, so we move into my other content straight away. This week was my Birthday so I had a lot of cleaning, shopping and socialising to do which made the other posts this wek just a bit shorter!  Still I had some great fun!

I watched a few fish stream and play Pokémon! And am even following their next Pokémon adventure as we speak!

I interviewed myself for a sort of Birthday Q&A .. but I actually asked Job Interview questions instead of Q&A/Magazine Interview Questions

I rewatched Detective Pikachu and saw a REALLY good video game movie! That is even fun if you do not like Pokémon! 

I probably made myself a lot less popular by listing my favourite consoles and explaining why I don’t like some of the classics as much!

Camp Coconut Updates

The home of the coconuts has been fairly quite! I think! Due to my laptop crashing and having a big  driver conflict I had to reset it to factory settings. As a result I was logged out everywhere and I forgot a lot of my passwords.  So I have been searching to get those back! Luckily the Playful Coconut was there to provide me some help!  I also got a nice help offer from the Shy Coconut again. So the little guys have been supporting me in more ways than one. The newest project I started with the Coconuts is to be able to build a PC and get a desk for it! As I now have the space to do so!

I haven’t been put on the blogosphere as much!   I used to have all sorts of folders with bloggers to visit but that is gone now that my laptop is reset and I have mostly been focussing on getting things back in order.  I have noticed a few posts though! Click on the image to visit them

Senpai’s Senpai is having summer feelings and wrote about Free. While there is a lot of Christmas stuff starting to happen it is nice to see a post that has such summery feelings!

Some guy with a letter for a name wrote a very big and clever masterpiece.  It’s a very interesting read that admittedly makes me feel a bit  dwarfed. I could never blog from that angle. Luckily other people do it for me.. well not FOR me.. but they do it in my stead… well not in MY stead.. they do it.. so there is varried content! Check it out if you want some level in your post!

Voyager, who is behind the amazing Bullet Toon YouTube videos has released a chapter of their web novel Extra/Normal! The title card already is amazing! I will admit I will still have to read it.. but I love their insights on YouTube and I love writing fiction myself.. so this really impressed me! I just need to find some time to finish reading it! Which I will probably do after this weekend! Untill then I will already send as much people their way as I can! It will be amazing! I did read the post I am linking to by the way so it’s fair game!

Pinkie Away From Keyboard

With my Birthday being this week my week has been all about having family over! Dad gave me a Panini Maker, Mom bought me a Dolce Gusto and and my sister gave me carpeting for on my stairs and she made food to serve at our little gathering.  I have been giving a lot of love to the oddish flower pot my friends gave me last week and yesterday I got a new plushie friend which I named Heather “The Horn” Heterochromeow!   Tonight a friend is coming over and he arranged for some kind of birthday dinner because he really wanted a sort of event.  So he arranged something of a surprise delivery dinner as my birthday gift.

Other than that there was the Laptop crash. It all started on wednessday evening when my keyboard suddenly shut down.. the laptop one. I figured I might just hit a wrong button and that by closing it the next day it would be solved. A loud beep startle me the next day and it said , keyboard not found! Well that sucks! So I thought I would find a way to fix it when plugging in a usb keyboard.  That resulted in me getting a blue screen of death every other minute. I could not scan for viruses, I could not not acces my system settings to acces a recovery point as every minute I got a blue screen of death. Because the keyboard did not work I could not even boot the laptop into safe mode!  So after managing to trigger Auto Recovery.. I had to reset to factory defaults.. all my software was gone.. and with it a lot of issues. All my blogging systems and auto log-in things where gone. So that was annoying!

I was playing Deponia for a review .. and that save game was gone now as well but luckily the Multifacted Ocelot gifted me Tales of Beseria for my Birthday.. which cheered me up quite a bit!  I have been playing Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair on Switch .. and deleted Govenor of Poker 3 after I did not like it anymore!     Yooka is something I am in the final stages of and I am having a blast with it! Tales of Beseria is SUPER good so far!  Even though I just  cleared the first “dungeon” .  I am hooked! So besides having some bad luck .. and lot’s of people over I am also having a lot of Cyberfun.

Plans

I am planning a few new posts for next week! I played a very unique Pokémon Rom Hack,  I plan to review Yooka Laylee and want to talk to you about an experience I recently had in anime!    Of course you’ll need to take everything with a grain of salt because I do not know if the Laptop Issue will not come back!  Tuesdays and Fridays and I will try to keep free for Staff Blogs from now on.. this will give me more time on Mondays to focus on my online tabletops and on Thursdays to do the physical tabletops post Covid again!

In December Paradise will have another theme month and today the poll to determine what it is will go up on Twitter. The options for the first theme month will not include a christmas theme. After a bit of tweaking I have come with four possible themes.

Egypt month: Pyramids, Mummies and ancient mysteries will await you if you vote for this one!
Steam Punk Month:  Let’s shift christmas into high gear… and ornamental gear as well by reviewing and playing some interesting Steam Punk products
Beyond Paradise Month: A month in which we would push beyond our comfort  zone. Reviewing movies I would not normally review, playing games I would classify as not for me. Let’s embrace what lies out there into the unknown.. or the things we would not give a chance at first shot.
Space month: Let’s check how Paradise would be IN SPACE! Sci-Fi shows, Spacey Games  and Anime set on  other planets will be played, watched and enjoyed in SPACE MONTH!

The Paradise Weekly Gazette 1: 9 to 15 November

Konichi-what’s up Slappers and Island Guests. It is sunday so usually we would feature the Saturday Anime Adventure Post here! But I tore that to shreds and started something new! With Daily anime reviews plus additional content most days we are more lively then ever! Today we will look at that content as well as some updates on the personal front of yours truly!

My favourite watch this week was Flip Flappers but overall we had a very strong anime lineup this week. Digimon took a bit of a dip for me this episode and Slime left me unimpressed due to relying too much on boob jokes and a non progressive episode.  Overall I had a great week! Cowboy Bebop offered the biggest surprise for me, but it also made me snack the most!

Pinkie’s Other Posts

I have been the only one posting this week so normally I would post the staff’s post after the Animini’s and before my own.. ..as that’s how I formatted it but this week we jump straight into my other posts.  Overall, maybe nothing that special but I had a lot of fun making these.

Camp Coconut Updates

The Coconuts have been keeping rather quiet this week! King Coconut the Holy Mailman is doing a fine job keeping the others in line. Yet the Shy Coconut  made a serious attempt at the throne a few weeks ago before these updates started so that had to be said.  We also have gained the bookworm Coconut fairly recently! So there is that.  The Shy Coconut is due for a costume update but I need to find a set up in my new house that lands itself to using Photoshop a bit better.   It will follow soon though!

Nabe talked about Angelic Layer! Another classic I have never seen! Yet a Hotpot of all people made me want to take a peek at it!

Raist alongside Mallow are our resident good guys! The bearded one of the two however REALLY seems to dig violence at lot as well and I love it! He has a great taste in action movies! In movies in general! There is something deliciously popcorny about his reviews and this one is no exception.

Pinkie Away From Keyboard

In my real life things have been looking up for me a lot. I have settled into my new place in comfort now and am happy to report that I am good as done with tasks in the house. After I write this I will go out and look for some Christmas ornaments and little knick knacks to decorate my house with a bit further. I am so happy I finally have space, and there are no stabbings, murders  or assaults happening in my flat.  There is not even any drug trafficking in the parking lot! Woot!  This has come to an advantage of my bed rest. I am happier in my bed again… which results weirdly in me feeling that I need to catch up with lots of sleep. 
In my old apartment I never felt as relaxed.. so awake was awake.. here I just crawl back in again and sleep for another hour! .. I am also having a lot of fun in my living room so it does help as well.. I stay up a whole lot longer.

This weekend I had some people coming over to visit my house and celebrate my birthday! It’s busy..because Covid prevents me from inviting big groups of people over.. yet all my friends and family also mentally need to see me a bit so there is a weird situation I am in now. Not to much people.. but all these people wanting to see me.. need some contact so it’s a bit of work to plan people in..but do it safely! Yet I am mostly pulling it off!  I try to combine it with something practical such as a friend helping me do bigger groceries, because I lack a car, a friend helping me do the electrics etc. I would need people over for that anyway.. so this way I do it once instead of twice.

My online text based tabletop returned this week and I was very happy about that, some people make way to many assumptions and get the group into trouble .. which can be annoying since they basically want to make sure they have a central role in the story.. while we are currently discovering the backstory of another character and confronting the bad behaviour of another. I tried to discourage it but this player needs to be in the spotlight a lot and tends to stall the plot a lot of complicate actions a lot to make use of their powers.. to a level that they would use it to open a door.. basically.  Which is kind of vexing!



I’ve been cooking a lot more.. in my new Kitchen.. I can do that! Which is another huge plus of my new location! I made some great spicy spaghetti this week .. and I almost set myself on fire. One burner is broken in my new house so I leaned over to hear if I could at least hear the gas coming out.. I forgot however I already  lit the burner in front of it since there was a dry pan on it… I smelled something bad and saw a flame in my hair.. Which I need to get fixed at the Salon at some point but for now I can just camouflage it by wearing my hair in a ponytail. I do love the fact that I can rummage around in the kitchen again.. but I also notice it does eat a bit away from my day! And I spend more on groceries! I feel healthier though as I get better food!

In being here I already had more contact with my neighbours than I had in six years in my old flat. Which is kinda weird.. I do feel totally socially awkward because of it though.. people actually wanting to talk… NANI?!  I am sure it will be alright though! Over all I am having a lot of fun at the new place.. my walks have made me become lost quite a few times.. *cough 60%*  I soon will know the entire environment though. 

Plans

So for the next week I might be a bit short on posts. Birthday stuff and all! I did a few posts already ahead of time.. but with my vacation. in setteling in.. most of my pre-worked stuff got eaten! I am playing Deponia and I do plan to finish it this week.

Other than that December will be a themed month! I am currently in the search for themes. I am just not getting anywhere.. not knowing if I want to go to Christmassy for the theme… that feels a bit cheap. I am currently playing with ideas of a Space theme, A Steam Punk Theme or a Pirate Theme. Of course all of you can suggest themes as well! Next week the Twitter of Paradise will have poll of topics! This week.. you can determine what kind of theme month we will see on Paradise! So don’t be a stranger and let your theme suggestion be known in the commens! Keep it broad.. I can’t really do a lit with Pink Loafs of Stale Bread as a theme!

Halloween on Paradise: The Managers Nightmare!

Hello again dear Mortals, Halloween draws closer, so of course the mystical forces that might be rise! Now of course they would not stay away from the fictional island of Paradise. So today we visit a small story about what happend for Halloween on Paradise. Like always the manager is hard at work when stuff suddenly turns strange! Can she survive a night of terror find out in this little story!

The Broomcloset

Manager Pinkie was sitting in her office. Working on her Pink Little Laptop to make sure she had plenty of cocktails to distribute to her guests on the lovely island of Paradise. She didn’t like working late on Saturdays but due to her moving to another Cabana on the island she had to spend quite a few extra hours in a day! She looked at the callender.. 31st of October.. time was going so fast. She looked at her laptop and saw a half finished blog, plus some of the fictional work to be done on her island on her fictional computer… and sighed. Almost done! She would get a hot bath  and an early night sleep…well as far as you can call it early. It was already getting close to midnight. Just as she was about to wrap up her work, suddenly all the lights in  the office went out. Even her adorable Jigglypuff Light. By the glow of her laptop she looked out of the window and see that the entire resort was out of power. That was so strange.  She opened a drawer of her pink desk to look for a pink little mobile phone. She called Indigo but no one answered. Was he in the Dinosaur Suit again?!  Maybe Sunny could help her find the fuse box.  So using her little pink phone as a little pink Flashlight the manager set out in the hotel to go find her janitor person who loves to be called a cabana boy.

“Why are these hallways so empty?”  she wondered while her heels clicked  on the marble like hotel floors.Their echos bouncing around the luxurious hallway filled with Pokémon paintings. Through the window she could see the outside lights that would provide light to the front of the hotel were out to! What was going on here? Did all the fuses blow at the same time?!  Then the ground shook as the hallway was bathed in a pink silver light. Shadows of some of the Yu-Gi-Oh statues lengthens as it were lang shadowy figures trying to approach her. A loud  clap followed. A thunderstorm! That must have knocked out the power. Yet she never heard the first one. Could it be that she was so sucked up in her blog that she missed it?!  No she was loafing around right?! This was so strange!  Having encountered no one she encountered Sunny’s broom closet… she had an awkward experience there once.  Thinking Sunny wanted something from her and screaming  while he actually just wanted to show her some yellow caterpillar with a horn he found in Pokémon Go asking her to identify it! This time however she suddenly heard clear moaning noises from the closet.  Did he have another person in there?! Her guests needed her though so she would apolgise to Sunny later. She gave the door a brisk but clearly audible knock. In the tempo of Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows!

No answer.. just moaning! She would have accepted a.. “be with you in a minute” or even a “not now” but this was just plain rude. The moaning continued. She knocked again, this time knocking “Space Unicorn” ! The same thing happened though! No answer! What in Arceus’ name was going on. Annoyed Pinkie pulled open the door and there she saw Sunny! In his hand was the lantern he so often carried around.. but blood seemed to be dropping from it.. and a head shaped object seemed to be inside. Her eyes glanced over to Sunny, his hair looked even more sloppy than normal, his normally so sunkissed skin had a pale quality even blueish.. his mouth mask was not moving up and down at all.. as if he was not breathing! He moaned… and then uttered a single world. BRAINS! With a new lighting strike very close by her phone dropped to the ground as she yelled .. staring into Sunny’s much more dead eyes! Z-Z-ZOMBIE!!!! YEEEE AAARGH!… Pinkie Ran out the broom closet tripping over a Yellow bucket! With a loud smack she landed on the floor.. but the adrenaline rushing through her kept her going.. tossing her shoes at Sunnies head  she managed to dash off .. she had to get Indigo! He could help!

The Security Office

The manager had to go to Indigo but she also had to keep her guests safe from this zombie! That did not seem to be that much of an issue though!  As she approached the lobby no was there. Zombie Sunny slowly waddled after her and could not keep up..  A new flash of lightning made her scare and hide between the reception desk for a while. She was pretty sure she saw a presence.  Zombie Sunny kept chasing.. he would soon be here and her lungs already felt like they could burst. She  could not keep running forever; she wasn’t built for it. So she looked up the administration book and found a yellow marker on the desk. She quickly ripped out a page  and folded a plane out of it! She began to colour it yellow as fast as she could.. She was just about done when a cold bluish hand slammed on the reception desk.  He was there.. just before he could grab at her Pinkie tossed the yellow paper plane down the hallway to the staff rooms again. With a slow look behind his back Sunny turned around and shambled back into the hallways. That would buy her a few minutes.  How did he become a zombie?! Did he get bitten by some weird mutated fish?

As Pinkie got up right to dash to Indigo’s hut. She noticed that zombie Sunny left a blue  streak on the desk!  Weird.. it could be dangerous though She would not want people to get infected by this.  Even if it put her at risk. A bit of blue got on her hand and she felt sick to her stomach! She had to prevent herself from being infected.. so she ran into the kitchen.
The chef wasn’t there .. which was weird..there should be some chefs to prepare midnight snacks! Did they go out to fix the power as well! Without a doubt Pinkie took the sharpest knife she could find and  cut her ring finger off! She  bit on a spatula to prevent screaming and drawing attention. Using some kitchen towels she made  herself a bandage.  She had no time to waste. She had to go to the security office.  Using the emergency exit she left the building.   Knocking on  Indigo’s door.. in blind panic. As she knocked some organ music seemed to play inside.. and another thunder rumbled the area.  “Come in.. Fleshy Mammal”  she heard from inside.  “What an annoying greeting” Pinkie taught before she opened the door.  Inside was Indigo..but his leather coat ..had been replaced.. by .. a cloak! He turned around and looked all pale, his eyes red! “I smell blood,” he said. Pinkie gasped and screamed!Vampire!! Indigo is a vampire! “Pinkie look in my eyes” Indigo said.. but she was too smart she would not be hypnotised. 

Pinkie dashed away ..now chased by a Vampire and a Zombie. What happened here?! Had she crossed over into the Twilight zone?!  Did it have to do with the blue goop she found? What is with this weird thunderstorm! She saw flashes but no bolts.. and the sky seemed without a cloud!  This seemed like some occult stuff! Wait! Occult! Maybe her horror expert Kuro could tell her more!  Slightly woozy she began to ran towards the pool bar, the vampire in hot pursuit.   As she look behind her to see if he was catching up she saw Vampire Indigo reaching out his arm .. then she suddenly fell.. as if tripped by telekinetic powers.. sparks shot out around her. and a sharp burning sensation in her knees. When she got up she realised she lost her glasses! Everything was blurry.. What happened.  Did she just get hit by a spell?!  Indigo drew closer! “I am not dying today,” Pinkie said to herself as she crawled back up.  In an attempt to get away she took a dive through one of the hedges.. surprisingly it worked!  She realised her entire weight just broke the branches as she stumbled off.. it seemed to have shook off Indigo!..Which makes sense she guessed.. wooden stakes and all. She outsmarted a vampire! But she pretty much ruined her dress.

The Bar

Tears began to well up in Pinkie, was she gonna die?!  I mean she would rather be a vampire then a Zombie.. when suddenly she saw Sunny Shamble near the pool area! She had to go the long way around to reach the bar! Could you sneak past Zombies?! Her bandages smelled like a freshly  defrosted steak!  If she went through the gardens she might avoid Sunny all together and  reach the bar via the beach. So she ran into the gardens.  Huge Spiderwebs were everywhere. There in the bushes she found the cook! Motionless his white outfit stained in  red liquid.. at least she thought it was the cook! He had a chefs hat on! Having -5 in both eyes she was fairly blind without her glasses. Whoever this man was .. and she assumed it was the chef! He was dead! She wasn’t sure who killed him.  The bottle of cooking wine.. used for their famous Coq au Vin was the weapon he made his last stand with!  Suddenly she heard “Pinkie” behind her and Irina stood behind her. dressed as Ghostface from Scary movie.. but the mask was made up instead!  So she could still recognise her! In her hand bloody knife glistend.. Pinkie screamed and hit bonked Irina on the head with the Winebottle. It was empty so it did not make that much of an impact.. but enough to give her a window to  dash away.

From the gardens Pinkie ran onto the beach, her feet struggling on the star-shaped sand! And yes star shaped sand is a thing! It is difficult to run in!  Irina chased her.. and she looked angry!  No way Pinkie would let herself be taken down by a slasher villain that isn’t even an Island OC. It gave her strength to run again. Still half blind! Maybe she recognised Irina through the alcohol smell! Why was she wondering this right now?! Eventually she reached the bar.. out of breath. Kuro looked at her and said. What’s wrong Pinkie you look terrible?! Do you need a drink. Pinkie nodded..while trying to catch her breath. As Kuro poured her a Hibiki.. a purple hand put the glass in front of her. Pinkie looked up and saw two horns on Kuro’s head.. teeth very sharp and a skin totally purple. They wore a demon red and black Yukata. Before Pinkie could take a sip she stumbled back..  tripping on a barstool. She fell.. and she kept falling.  She felt almost as if she was sinking. Kuro was an Oni..she had no chance..  now she fell and was sinking.. did she knock herself out?! She was dead anyone she would just let herself sink. It was all over.  She  opened her eyes.. and saw a black shadow looming over her..as she took a breath a sharp pain filled her lungs! Then two strong hands grabbed her and she was being dragged towards a big dangerous looking presence and then it all went black.

Paradise


Pinkie woke up with a shock! “Stay off my body”  she yelled wildly swiping at her environment. Kuro the demon stood before her. “That’s it I am cutting you off for tonight” they said. Pinkie gasped in terror! “What will you cut off?! I already cut my own finger off you don’t you think that is cruel enough?”. The face on the demon changed from Malice to concern. “You did what?” Pinkie began to see everyone more clear again.. she was surrounded by monsters .. even the chef Irina murdered was back. “Didn’t you die”. The Chef looked at her and grinned “Wheeen …Didz.. Eye..Die..?!   *Hic*  Isszzz.. Spilled…..wine…all over.. me.. Rini…brough…goood… booze…*Hic* I had.. a bit much…and…all over..my stuff..*hic* fell in the roses’. Pinkie looked confused. “So Senpai is not a slasher villain?” The woman showed Pinkie she had a plastic knife and said “No.. the only thing I butcher is my spelling sometimes” Pinkie coughed up a bit of water , still skeptical. “Then why did you chase me?” Irina looked a bit shifty… “I kinda felt bad that I got your chef so drunk.. when he passed out in the bushes I wanted to tell you it was my fault not his..but you looked so upset I thought he would get fired because I forced him into a drinking game with me”. Pinkie felt like a Pokémon she was so confused it hurted.

“But if you are not evil, then why doesn’t the demon attack you”  Kuro grinned.  It’s the 31th of October! It’s Halloween… it’s a costume!  All the staff dressed up! Look Indigo dressed up as a Vampire and Sunny is a zombie. Pinkie once again asked why she was chased then Indigo replied that he saw her distressed and possibly injured so he chased her.. but when she tripped over the electrical wires that caused the lighting effects and spooky music on the island he had to fix that first..or it would be a hazard for guests. Sunny was just having a little fun and did not think Pinkie actually believed he was a zombie. He could not bite her anyway because he was smart and still wore a mask! Pinkie looked at the  wrapped up hand and was afraid to ask. “Then was that blue zombie goo?”   Sunny shrugged..”I had a lot of fun colouring myself with the body paint so I might have added a few extra layers.. I tried to make myself a Yellow zombie but that did not work too well.. so that paint was very thick”. He smiled sheepishly while Pinkie unraveled her bandage. “So I cut off my finger for nothing?”

Everyone stared at Pinkie’s missing finger and suddenly people began to laugh. “Oh Pinkie that is so you” Indigo offered to bandage it up more properly. “Let me wrap that up for you a bit nicer and then we will go enjoy the party you silly girl” The manager blinked. “This isn’t that funny”. Kuro looked at her and said “Well at least now you can do a very cool Assassin Creed cosplay”  Pinkie grumbled “I don’t like any game but the second” Everyone laughed again. “Time for drinks” Irina yelled and as she opened the little first aid tent Pinkie saw a huge beach party going on. Everyone was in a costume. “I was so busy working I did not even notice it was Halloween”  she thought to herself.. still her friends all took this cut finger very lightly! As if they are characters in a story that was wrapping up and the writer did not care about the details.. and suddenly everything goes all happy! Kuro gave her a pad on the back “gotta get back to work…i’ll make you a pink cocktail.. and hey your final girl costume is pretty genuine now” Pinkie looked at her dress as everyone went out to party.  Pinkie looked at her destroyed dress, felt her dishevelled hair and looked at her hand one more time.. “Final Girl huh…seems there are plenty of people here still.. I guess I will party for now..but next year..I will be the true final girl! The only one left alive” Pinkie laughed like a maniac in her tent. She would know what her friends did last Halloween……next year!

The One That Got Away

Hello everybody! The Manager here! Today we welcome Sunny our “Cabana” Boy to the STAFF that have published a post on Paradise! He had written a very cute and charming intro.. but then he spilled his little yellow bucket and all the words washed away! As Sunny got distracted by the flowing ink and followed as it flowed around the manager wrote a new intro! Today Sunny writes about…. Sunny! His tales as a fisherman! Check it out and don’t forget to leave a like! Likes are great bait you know?!

Sunny lay stretched out on his belly in the pale pink sand. The waves lapped gently at the beach to his right, and a rod with a gigantic reel was propped in the sand. A line stretched from the long, whippy willow pole far out into the sea where a bright yellow bobber floated, unwatched. 

A tiny yellow crab held Sunny’s attention as it scuttled hither and yon on the pink sand, making a lovely picture as it sifted through the grains seeking the small bits of food. The sun beat warmly down on Sunny’s back, making him a bit drowsy. His eyelids fluttered down and soon no one was awake on the beach but the crabs.

Further out in the calm sea, a seagull hovered over the bright yellow bobber, wondering if it was worth hanging around to see what Sunny caught. He often shared his catch with the gulls, or sometimes he had delicious human snacks he would tear into small pieces and toss into the air for the delight of watching the acrobatic gulls swoop and catch them on the wing. 

Suddenly the bobber wobbled. Then again. It shook and bounced up and down in the water a few times, and then vanished beneath the turquoise sea.

Sunny was alerted by the whining buzz of his reel as the line went screaming off of it at great speed. He jumped up out of the sand, startling the little crabs who ran in every direction. Grabbing his rod and reel he gave it a jerk, although it was clear the hook was firmly seated in something. Whatever it was, it gave an almighty jerk back that nearly yanked Sunny right off his bare feet into the ocean. 

With all his strength, Sunny caught his balance and tucked the rod into the wide thick belt he wore for this very purpose. He began to play the sea creature, reeling back line as it went slack and bracing himself when it ran again. It quickly became clear that this was no cute little baby perch he had on the line, but something enormous. 

Beautiful green and grey and brown lemon sharks often cruised in the shallows around the dock and the edges of the island, but this was much too large to be one of those fairly harmless and quite pretty fish. Sunny realized now that he must have had a little nap in the sand, and the line had drifted out far out into the sea, beyond the shallows and past the shelf that dropped down and down and down to unfathomable depths away from the feet of Pinkie’s Paradise Island. 

Deep, deep in the turquoise sea, what could it be? There were some giant groupers, and even some huge old moray eels that lived far below the island in caves and grottos among the coral. Fat and old from eating well on the bright fish who lived on the reef. That must be it, Sunny thought as he worked and worked and wrestled and strove with the great heavy and strong sea creature. Yes, it was probably one of those groupers. And what good eating it would make! Why, some of them got up to 600 pounds. He could make a lot of fish fillets out of that and have a big fish fry for all the island resort guests tonight! 

The sun sank towards the sea and still the battle raged on. Sunny ached in every inch of his body and more than once had thought of cutting the line and letting the vast creature go, but now his curiosity had gotten the better of him. The big fish was not jumping out of the water at all, but now and then he caught a swirl of a mighty tall sail like fin that was bigger than anything he had seen on the biggest grouper he had ever brought in. 

If he ever got this creature landed, how on earth would he bring it up the beach? 

Just as the sun touched the sea and sent one last golden beam streaking across the wet horizon, the water began to boil and roll and in every way signal that something big was coming up. Sunny was busy reeling in the slack, feeling this would be his one and only chance to conquer the sea creature that he was now dying of curiosity to see. What could it possibly be that was so big and so strong and so determined to fight for half a day or more!

With a final roar the water broke and the sea sephents head rose, and rose, and rose into the darkening sky! Sunny had hooked a true monster from the depths. Easily thirty feet of the beast was out of the water, and far more clearly trailed behind. Fins shaped almost like legs, like those of a coelacanth dangled and flailed wildly, throwing fish scented waters through the air that hit Sunny like the rain of a hurricane. The creature let out a bellow similar to the bark of a catfish but with the volume of a foghorn. The water foamed with his thrashing tail, as long again as his entire body.

Glowing golden eyes the size of semi-truck hubcaps swiveled and fixed on Sunny. The great fish drew back on himself in an S like a striking snake and for one stunned, horrified moment all Sunny could see was a great cave-like mouth lined with dagger teeth. A pointed tongue curled and Sunny glimpsed the twinkle of his tiny little hook embedded in it’s center.

He threw the rod and reel down, turned, and ran. 

Knowing, like I’m sure you do, that Sunny has beautiful dragonfly wings, you are wondering why he didn’t fly. Well, the truth is, he runs much faster than he can fly. 

Sunny ran as far and as fast as his feet would carry him. All thoughts of how tired and how sore and how terribly lazy he normally is completely left his body on a wave of adrenaline and pure terror. He blazed up the beach, into the jungle, past the resort where he could see the guests lined up agog at the beast in the water. The people on the third floor balcony could look eye to eye with the thing! 

Maybe Sunny was running so fast you couldn’t see him. Maybe everyone was a bit more busy wondering if the creature could make landfall. Whatever, no one seemed to be aware as he flashed past tables and through the doors and then up and up and up the mountains behind the resort until he reached a secret little trail he thought only he knew that led to a cave in a clearing. 

When he reached the cave he finally managed to stop his flying feet. He fell bonelessly to the earth and concentrated on getting oxygen into his struggling lungs. And then the beast roared again. 

Quickly, he jumped to his feet and staggered a moment before he made it to a tall tree. Now he flew. He flew and flew up to the very top of the tallest tree and then he could look down and see the creature, still in the shallows, weaving side to side like a cobra and clearly using those glowing eyes to look for his tormentor. That wide mouth opened again and suddenly a rainbow of round rubber balls shot out and across the waters and the beach.

There were yellow balls. And red balls. And blue balls. And green balls. And purple balls. And of course, pink balls. Some balls were even clear, like bubbles, and they floated up into the air as if they were weightless. Balls from the size of softballs to soccer balls to beach balls bounced and rolled across the beach and floated on the surface of the sea, carooming off the top of the waves caused by the monsters flipping tail. 

The monster reared back as if to spit more bouncy balls but instead he shook his head, and opened and closed that great maw of a mouth over and over, making quite horrible sounds until with a very distinct “PTOOEY” Sunny saw the twinkle of his fish hook as it caught the light of the moon and flew out of the monster’s tongue and down to the pink sands. 

Grumbling in its throat, the monster took one last gasp, one last long evil eye cast towards the beach, before it turned and swam away.

Sunny heard the laughter of relief and chatter coming from the guests still standing on the balconies and around the pool in the resort. There was a bit of a rush towards the bar, so Kuro had to stop standing stock still in shock and get busy mixing cocktails in pitchers. Then guests began to tiptoe down to the beach, first in ones and twos, and then in small groups and picking up those bright rubber balls that were shining in the moonlight. 

As if by magic and mutual agreement, suddenly everyone was playing on the beach with the sea monster’s balls. There were people playing catch, or dodgeball or something like volleyball without a net. 

The manager of the resort, Pinkie, walked down the beach to where Sunny’s  rod and reel lay abandoned in the sand. She picked them up and looked around. Sunny gulped. He had a feeling she was not going to be very happy with him. 

He pulled some young limber tree branches towards himself and wove a little sleeping platform high in the top of the tree. Relaxing, he watched the guests playing in the moonlight with all the pretty balls. Maybe in the morning he would fly back down to the resort and set about his chores as if nothing had ever happened. Everyone seemed to be having fun. Pinkie couldn’t really stay mad at him, right? 

STAFF Introduction: Indigo the Head of Security

He-he-here we go! He’s finally here! To write stuff for you! If you check this page! You can join us too!  Put your hands together! I want you to clap! As he’s introduced.. with this cool rap! Huh! Indi! INDIGO! Indi! Indigo is here!

One Hell of A Security Guy

Points for you if you got what that intro is based on! Clearly I am in a cheerful mood today and that is with good reason! I get to announce that my long time friend now going by the name of Indigo has joined the fray! I have known him for longer than I blog and as per today he will be on the fictional Payroll of the fictional Paradise, receiving fictional income for his fictional position as my head of security!  I think you know what his task is! That’s right he is trying to save you from fictional treats.. like pickpockets and pirates. He will do this by creating some amazing characters in his original stories that will walk around on Paradise  keeping you safe.. but he is also quite skilled in playing some video games and telling  you about them! It will keep you distracted but also that nasty pickpocket! How neat huh! If I put up to much party lights, he is also skilled enough in the electrical work so that we don’t all die in a blaze of fire and colourful glass so but yeah mostly he is just here to write his own things.  I bet he can tell you amazing tales set in the Fallout or Warhammer 40K Universe. 

Indigo is a fresh face on WordPress, with their only experience so far leaving likes and a few comments! So his content style will be a surprise to us all! We can expect some game reviews and fan fiction from him. I suspect we will mostly see character driven stories about warriors wielding  swords and armors. With an edgy grimdark twist. He’s probably also the guy who will keep me in check! “Pinkie have you read that comment yet?” ‘Don’t forget to reply to that person who @dded you on Twitter” If you are angry and mean.. I will also send him after you! If you think I am ignoring you.. you can send him after me! Perfect balance.
He is a  hard working confidant sort of speak who has his own.

I know for sure he is combining the  world of my tabletop and videogames to tell you an unique “what if story”  Yet he also talked about not one but two game reviews!  He mostly plays  shooting games.. but also the deeper rpgs and Soulsbornes! Sometimes even stuff  in between… as long as he gets to kill. I made him play Ducktales though! For breakfast he rips and tears into Deathclaws and in the afternoon he does scientific research how much fatboy mini nukes it takes to kill a demon. His knowledge of weaponry is also impressive so if you like to discuss Alucard’s guns.. our security officer will be here for you! You can recognise him by his unique look. Donning his Indigo outfit with pink belts!  Because when we play or work together, he always does something with pink! Such a good guy! That coat is a tad edgy though!

How I met Indigo

To introduce you a bit more to this man I shall tell you the story of how we met. In fact I have talked about some elements he brings to the table. I met Indigo trough Star Wars roleplay.. like four or so years ago. I was playing a Sith woman named Sy’ra  who felt like friendship is magic and the path to Power in the Sith.. starting out as a rival for a Zabraki love, soon Sy’ra won over his character Lelianne because of her sly and cunning ways. Which later blossomed into a nice and warm friendship between the two characters. My character formed a house of her own which resulted in a private Skype-group for friends and family members. Indigo was in that chat!  As time passed we bonded and enjoyed playing a lot. His characters a Mandalorian clan leader named Kraleth became my security officer and his daughter Lelianne, became Sy’ra bodyguard.. and they even had a short romance.. but Lelianne saw herself to much as a tool. Living only for Sy’ra. My Sith taught Lelianne to love herself for those who can’t love themselves and see themselves as items only can never be truly loved either.   It was a lesson Indigo also had to learn still. Indigo is a bit of an anime edgelord. The type that will sacrifice themselves to safe you.. even if the treat is a flew splashes of rain… because dying for someone is cool!  This mentality brought Indigo in trouble  a few times as a roleplayer. This selfless trait is a great thing for a security officer to have though! And he has experience with the job! Nothing will phase him anymore!

Indigo is a fair bit younger than me as well.It’s not like I could be his mom (there is only one person in my online tabletop, which by the way is not the D&D that stopped, that’s young enough to be my son). He might be able to tell me what G-Fuel is.. even though I never hear him talk about it.. and those who drink?! (it’s a drink right?) usually talk about it so I am unsure.   I bet he would love the Vinland Saga anime as he really likes dark and Military themes in stories. So I think that will tell you a bit what type of stories we can expect. I always tease him for the sheer amounts of edge he has in him. His coffee cups have bullets and skulls on them and he listens to so much metal that if you have a magnet on you it will stick to his ears… if there aren’t people with lots of piercings around or a living suit of armor of course. He’s the type of guy who drinks their coffee black just because it looks cooler in front of the others, but that also means there is more cream and sugar left for me!

For little over a year now I have made a tabletop game on mondays, that is basically an anime tabletop.. people can create their character and from all known media they have to fight against treats from other worlds.. like Hol Horse  from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures or Dracula from the Castlevania games but also 4 world leaders and their Eldritch Horseman.. they employ to summon a big Eldritch evil upon this world.  During their journey the group can encounter characters from all across anime. For example they are working with Krul Tepes from Owari no Seraph and they have a rivalry with Perona from One Piece.. who works for Elon Musk to use her Horro Horro fruit to change the little Eldritch baby the has into a ultimate weapon to stop the greater evil.. at the cost of a few cities. Indigo here plays the seventh courier from Fallout New Vegas.. a fictional character that was supposed to be there as well..but ended up Isekaid..into our world.  As this game requires very much communication to build your character (as you can literally build whatever you want)  Indigo and I started to talk more and more and our friendship became tighter. 

When he asked to stream a few games in our Discord group I noticed how he would lack the platform there to show the games he is interested in.  Regardless how much I love Indigo.. Warhammer stuff is completely wasted on me and the one that is interested.. is only so when it’s convenient to them! So that’s why I thought! Maybe writing in a place like mine could let him tell those stories to a bit wider of an audience. Also based on some follower names I score surprisingly well  with those with edgy nicknames… so maybe you will like his style as well. His different palette compared to  mine when it comes to stories and games can make us cover such a wide arrangement of stuff. I feel he can compliment me very well! I will still be the best Pinkie.. but Indigo will provide the contrast to make my pink look even brighter.  Indigo hasn’t blogged before and is fairly new to WordPress so I want you all to give him a warm welcome! To Indigo, you will have to socialise a bit.. so use the WordPress reader to find yourself some Warhammer, or Soulsborne blogs, take a peek at the people welcoming you and be an awesome tomodachi for the amazing people in the community! A security guy can be scary but make sure to let them know you are secretly just a big cuddly bear . 

Even More STAFF to come?!

I could tell you plenty of stories about Indigo but instead I rather direct you to his Twitter, and ask you to wait and see what their posts will bring. Indigo is from Finland so like me he is a non native English speaker. I assume that means like me they are schooled in UK english so expect to see his top five FAVOURITE guns in video games and not his top five FAVORITE 40k Races, but I might be wrong here!  For those who think we spell Colour wrong I got good news! The third person that applied to write on this place is American! So we will be evenly distributed then.  I am still looking for a Canadian and an Australian to join so I can get all English variants gathered!


If you want to write but don’t want to maintain your own blog or if my blog covers topics you can’t put on your own website feel free to apply under STAFF wanted.  As long as you do not expect to be paid and as long as you respect everyone like I ask everyone to respect you things are totally going to be fine and you will always be good enough! I went through this phase myself.. where I felt like the lesser writer. Maybe I am the lesser writer to most.. but Indigo as well as Crow and Fred helped me remind me that no one writes like me.. Somewhere there is a guy.. in my case like Indigo.. who will like that style and the same goes for you! I wish for Paradise to be a platform for all of you who want to share your thoughts in a more low key way!  We are a holiday resort!  Ambition is for when you get back to real life! This is all about fun! So if you want to share stuff you feel you can not  share elsewhere.. feel free to apply even if your not Canadian or Australian! We will make you feel welcome.. and with that please everyone leave a comment to welcome Indigo! I want him to feel right at home!

As for my own words to Indigo! There is little to say I have not said yet in our chats! I am so happy for everything you did for this blog, for me so be able to offer you this platform for your thoughts makes me really happy. I know we have vastly different opinions on media but that is what makes this work so much I think! I have every bit of faith in you! I have seen your voice in Roleplaying and your writing and I know this is something unique to you. With a dash of Warhammer, a Dash of Hellsing but also a healthy does of old warrior values and an appreciation of tech I am 1000% sure you will add something new to this blog! You might have to check if there are blogs around in your posse using WordPress reader but I also think quite a few people around really will be interested in your voice so never be afraid to let it shine! Be yourself.. no matter how much flack for being to edgy I give you for it! It’s all in good spirit! Friends teasing each other and all! You are a dear friend and probably my most supportive friend..at least when it comes down to this hobby! So I am super thrilled to have you! Welcome to the team!  Welcome to Paradise! Also could you please look into that Yellow looking fellow. I was walking in the lobby today when I faceplante… I mean gracefully landed after tripping on a yellow bucket. He had a mob with him as well but he was just staring outside smirking at some daffodils….weird.

Indigo has no Kofi page to support yet! However if he ever does decide on doing this a banner to support him will show up on his own posts! All writers have their individual Kofi Pages, though Pinkie’s one is also used to maintain the website. Keep an eye out for ways to support Indigo and for now just make him feel welcome! STAFF Introduction: Kuro the Bartender!

My Island Guests today is a special day! Today I shall introduce you to the first of my STAFF members , who will come join the team! Please all put your hands up for Kuro Let’s take a peek!

Little Bar of Horrors

Kuro joined my staff wanting to serve you refreshing cocktails of content. With ambition and boundless creativity this addition to the team will offer you one mean son of Pina Colada! If you like they can also offer you a derriere-whooping in games like Overwatch and they laugh at the challenge of Seikoro or Dark Souls…. Kuro is for real! So  straight away we can see why they will compliment the team very well! They aren’t much like me! Which is a very good thing because when it comes down to me being me, no one can beat Pinkie! She really the best Pinkie! Kuro definitely is the better Kuro though! I imagine them being a bit like Sebastian Michaelis ,one hell of a Bartender.  Their content cocktail speciality will be the Write-Tai cocktail!  For those who do not know what is the cocktail in which we explore stories we have written ourselves. Be it based on other properties , like fan fiction or completely original stories. Kupo’s  Write-Tai’s will usually be spiced with flavours of the orient. In particular flavours of the land of the rising sun… so you weebs and otaku are in pretty good hands here!

Stories can vary of course but Kuro has a taste for the dark! With a slight hint of opiates in their cocktails, much like in the classic Absinth of From Hell is to be believed, Kuro will bring us tales and spookums that play with the human mind. That sounds so much more impressive than anything I do already! So I do hope you all keep rooting for your Pinkie girl as well.So please be kind to me as well. As one of the island bartenders Kuro will have some strong tales to tell, some drinks to mix and they know exactly what  tanning beds at the pool will get occupied by hot anime girls!  Kuro is only the first joining the team! They will soon be joined by possibly a cleaning fairy and a security office. Contract negotiations for them are still pending though so we might find out they other talents as well!  Kuro’s talents however are already pretty well defined!  Kuro is a specialist in psychological horror! They even have their colour in their favour! Kuro is Japanese for black for those who don’t know and if there is a colour I tie to Japanese themed psychological horror it’s black! … and red.. but they have a lot of red details on their chibi so hey!  Great design from them!

Get to know Kuro

So today’s post will not be a long one! I have a day at the water planned and a massive 38 degrees Celsius which is 100 degrees Fahrenheit heatwave making things miserable for me. So it is okay to coast! But do you know who never coasts? That’s right it’s Kuro! Not only do they play their Soulsborne games and keep trying their utmost! Besides writing for Paradise they also are a part of team Kawai Paper Pandas. That’s right! Our Kuro is none other than Tsubaki Kuro! Blogger AND Novelist! Now that is dedication to the craft. Meanwhile I abandon you to play in the water for a bit! So aren’t you all glad you have a little Kuro in your life as well! Black as a colour really harmonises with pink as well so Kuro is also fashionable! Most important they are a coconut as well! That’s right they supported my Kofi and got a coconut representative as well. Check out Camp Coconut if you do not know what that is! So to those asking the question.. I want to be a coconut but also join the STAFF as well.. what do I pick?! You can do it all!

We are a happy little community that support each other. Come on and geek with us in the comments , twitter or  twitter! That’s right Tsubaki Kuro/Our Kuro has a twitter as well!  You should totally check it out to see some really funny.. but also at times slightly ‘naughty” stuff.  When I do say naughty do note that it is being said from the perspective of a Demisexual..it might be super vanilla!  Kuro is an American living in Ontario CA.. which is California not Canda! So that means Paradise might now be represented during proper US like times! It will also mean that I write in British English while Kuro shall write in American English! So while I represent the colour pink! They represent the color black! I measure in meters.. and Celsius, they will do other things. I hoped they were Canadian so we’d spell colour the same but Center differently! But alas! Twitter fooled me! So if you like to know all about Ontario California! Send them a dm on twitter! Also I am still looking for Canadian staff apparently!

For some reason these folks also seem Canadian to me!

On this blog we will see Kuro return to their routes of writing fiction! Will they write about other stuff as well? Time will tell! If you want their amazing voice to be heard be sure to leave a like and some love behind! I would like to ask you all to at least give them a warm welcome! Say something nice! Like “Welcome to Paradise Kuro” or “I  will have a Bacardi Cola” Kuro. Because if you read my Blogger’s I’d invite to my island party you know! If you wanna party on the island you gotta work! So our first bartender we will have.  I think we shall let Kuro man the pool! There are more girls there! The guys are out surfing at the beach! I also occasionally surf but then the guys go “Pinkie you are not really surfing you are just sitting on a Pikachu on the water” .. .and I’d be like.. but it knows the HM Surf you guys! We all good! Anyway yes Kuro will man the Tiki cantina so they have good look at the hula dancers and Jimmy Buffett. Gotta have Jimmy Buffett in Paradise as well. But don’t worry Kuro .. it will mostly be Hula dancers. A wise man once told me to also invite Barry Manilow! See now this is a party! Join the party and praise our new hero Kuro!

More STAFF to come!

It won’t be long before yet another STAFF member will join the ranks! Who is it?! Well one of them is another coconut and another is a WordPresser I very much adore! One will represent hotel security but we don’t have a Chibi for them yet! Nor introduction stuff. It could be a few days! But they have the time! Paradise is a place of vacation there are no deadlines! No stress. Just cocktails. Plus a lot of bloggers so old we do not even know what G-fuel is! So it’s a haven for the geeks and a retirement home for geeks as well. Can’t wait to play our Storm Trooper Shuffleboard! Which is Shuffleboard but you do it blind! How droll! Luckily Kuro and one of the other new Staff are a bit younger.. so they can help us old folks (I’m 33,7 by the way) connect to the young whippersnappers!

Joking aside Paradise will always be a place of inclusion! If you feel like you want to write but don’t feel like you are good enough to pull off a blog off your own.. you are good enough for Paradise. If you would like to blog but can’t be bothered to do all the images and blog managing stuff , we got you covered on Paradise. Just be geeky and don’t exclude people from our beautiful paradise! Me and Kuro will welcome you with open arms. If you are a hot anime girl Kuro will be delighted to show you around and if you are not your lovely pink manager will very much take you on a little island tour! Now this part is specifically from me to Kuro as I would very much like to be the first person to say welcome home! I have read some very and creative pieces you made on Kawai Paper Panda’s and I know you have a delightful imagination as well! I also know you can be strict on yourself and even if I have a few rules know I will always welcome you! You are a geek! I am a geek! While I might feel less euphoric about centipede girls as you do , and would prefer a squid girl a demon girl..or a psychopath yandere who may or may not end me forcing me to sleep with a knife under my own pillow! Know that as long as you welcome everyone here, you will always be welcome here! I have no doubt the content you share will be amazing because in our talks I could really feel your desire to get back to this content you can produce here! I felt passion! With that passion I am sure you are an amazing addition to this team that will help Paradise grow bigger and add some very unique stories!  I love psychological horror stories  so I am a very lucky person indeed. The Road to Year 2! What’s next for Pinkie’s Paradise? (Anniversary Day 6)

Hey Island Guests! Over the past few days celebrating this blog’s anniversary we have delved a lot into the past year of this blog! Yet I would also like to stand still on what is next! What about the future that is what today’s blog is about!

So let us begin with what is not changing! I really like the direction I am headed in as per May of this year! I found me, more than I ever did. A me that really enjoys to write what she writes and embraces her being different as a boon rather than something I have to polish out or something that costs me viewers.  In the past I told people how I felt I did not fully belong in “Camp Lita”  “Camp Jon” or heck not even fully in “Camp Irina” I felt accepted sure.. but always as a bit of a trader in the community.. a traveler passing through while also stopping in the other camps. A bit of a rogue that is to much of a gamer to be “just” an anime-blogger or to much of a weeb to “just” blog about games. I realised I in fact might be neither. I tell you about me.  Gamers are not selected on what’s trendy or whats hot , they are selected on what I ‘d like to experience! On what I would like  to play. The same goes for anime! I watch a random anime a month not because it’s cute for the blog but because I like that random element in my life. I tell you about my experiences with said random experience.
My life experiences just happen to include a lot of games and anime. So I am a bit of an odd duck! Luckily I like ducks! So now I’ll just quack to my own beat!

I decided to lean into me more rather than steer away from it for more views sake because this is what makes me happy! I can finally give that devil on my shoulder that constantly tells me people don’t like me a rest because I shifted perspective. Me as a rookie blogger dreamed about the ‘fame’ , what if this opens up doors for me, what is this leads me to find a complete community, is was a way for me to be remembered. I’ve always been fragile health wise and I have health issues that make my future look less certain than your average human being. I have no idea how long I can last and by leaving my mark here I would at least accomplish something.. so that fame got a bit of a false value.  As my blog began to grow, and it grew rapidly, so came delusions joining that desire. I was like Charlie from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory or at least I thought I was ..hoping for that golden Ticket in my candybar. That this would be my miracle. Yet I realised I wasn’t Charlie at all! I was just one of those other kids!  Not the ones that find a ticket.. no  one of those kids who bought 295  chocolate bars but never found my golden ticket! There might not even be one! Yet fairly recently I began to realise how much I like chocolate. I might still “Just” be at home, but seeing how that other thing ended for most.. this might just be as good!

Aside from wanting to be remembered, I also have a desire to be me… like the purest form of me and I realised i had been on a journey to fit in again but that made me unhappy in the past. I was at my happiest when I was me and this blog should and will reflect that.  Yes I will write weird stories in rhyme about an egg friend even though we are all mature sensible people here who see that’s nonsense. Yes I will write about movies nobody will watch  (currently watching all video game movies)  because I thought it would be a fun process. I will keep writing about Pokémon Fan Games even though most of my followers don’t care about pokémon that much. I played it and I want to share that experience! Plenty of the posts  I personally resonate with are some of the quirkier ones. I really loved the idea of The Totally Tomodachi Award I started somewhere  in June. Yet people really did not care for it. It was to weird of a tag but rather than be upset  at the poor reception, I saw it as .. I payed tribute to a few bloggers I loved and that’s what I set out out to do.  It’s fine I am doing me and you can do you. No obligations! I got confused that to belong we all had to do the same tags, we all had to constantly interact.. but no, WordPress is a much more subtle community that is about support and sharing. It’s about interacting despite our differences , It’s about having a safe haven where you can be yourself and that means we can support content even if we don’t like it persé. The internet warped that for me for a bit.. but now we got a course and Paradise will walk to the beat of it’s own drum!

So now that we have established what will be the same, we got a good idea about the direction I want to take! Year 1 was the year about trying to be a Pokémon Blog, A Game Blog or an Anime Blog.. I am not sure I am any, yet Paradise is also all. A geek blog is perhaps the best way to describe it, where geeks, both writing and reading can be themselves. It’s about doing what you want to do and finding happiness in things like games, anime or even writing and sharing that joy with the world.

In terms of content , at least on my end there will only be minimals changes because I am happy with what I am doing. Let’s go over my categories though and start with Pinkie’s fiction My What If Raditz Turned Good story will most like be shelved after we went through the Frieza Arc. My story has a nice ending point there as my tale is already very focussed on that story line. My little Isekai story will go on for a while though. It’s certainly not the most popular thing on my blog but I just have a ton of fun writing it. It’s fun ‘hiding’ OWLS or others in the story and building my own little mirror world. In terms of Pinkie’s fiction though I do expect a decrease in stuff like Pinkie Get’s anime Powers and increases in stories like Tamago Tomodachi. Little brainfart stories! The former requires a fair amount of research to do, I wont stop doing them but I will write them a bit.. whenever! If I happy to stumble on more info on a fandom and I like it.. i might make a power post on it. Pinkie’s Who Would Win will be sparse as well.. while the concept of non volatile confrontations between characters is fun it is very much centered around playing Non-Volatile games.. like board games or party video games.  I love doing those and I will probably continue to do those in the future but the problem is…. in Corona times I don’t actually play a lot of these types of games! So I have little to work with here! I am working on a solution though!

Movies will not change for a good while. I still have about 38 video game movies to go through before we move onto the next project. However I decided to include more real life experiences so whenever I actually go see a movie, which again still is rare now those might be posted between the video game movies with a maximum of one a week! Who knows I might just make more than 1 post per day..but that might be somewhat ambitious. It will continue as is with some flexibility! My game reviews I am still figuring out. I want to at least offer one Pokémon game per month, no matter if it is an official one or a a fan one. Other than that.. mostly a mix of horror, weird and retro games! I will try to keep them balanced..but hey if I want to play two horror games in a row that is what will appear. I also want to talk about other aspects of gaming every now and again.

Geeky Life-Style and Pokémon Topics will mostly stay the same, though I will share a few of my personal experiences with you as well! Next week wednesday you will get a report of my trip to the Zoo! Of course with a bit of a geeky twist. It’s easy to let our mindset be caught in a bit of a bad place, certainly in the current times but by sharing my fun activities with you I at least make sure that I can keep sharing my hearts concerns with you if needed..but balancing it out with some fun and positivity as well! The random topic generator might become more of a staple, though I might actually use Twitter and Kofi more in creating some of these posts as well. I want to dive a tiny bit deeper inside that rabbit hole! Randomness has a big importance to me and it will become a bit of an element on this blog. My typing top 5 will last for 6 more weeks and then we will move on to our next subject. Maybe if I am ambitious I will try to explore the entire Pokédex with you.. though not in a weekly format. I’d like to add some diversity, how I do not know yet.

On saturday I usually discuss anime now, or tell an anime story, post a single series review watch a  random anime etc. While I do like these posts they give me a lot of stress as it is by far the most difficult slot to come up with a topic for. The only thing I experience writers block with.. so instead I think Saturdays will be a complete random thing.. depending on whatever experience I have ready (though I am gonna keep in the random anime generator because I love doing that) I think it will still have a bias to anime but who knows. It will always be something off series though.. so never will there be a video game movie in there nor will there be a pokémon typing list.  It’s my wildcard that I try to make anime but I am going easier on myself to diverge! Stress reduction and all! It can be anything.. it most likely will be anime!

Pinkie’s Saturday Anime Adventure which releases on Sunday will continue to go on! I love doing this sooo much! With Hikaru no go going on for 65 episodes still  before I finish the first series I can tell I will still be doing it by the time of my next anniversary! For those who haven’t noticed.. for the past three installments i have been entering real life updates in there near the end as well  so you always have an idea where my head is at, since these posts are the only ones I do not write ahead of times those are up to date as well!

So do I plan to stay the same with only some content switches?! No! I am slowly beginning to look for co-writes for this blog. Like people who like to post something once a week or once every now and again but really do not want to keep up their own website!  A buddy or buddies or sorts. As long as people don’t start posting how dumb I am or opposite articles , which is my term for me writing stuff like “Oh My Arceus Tengen Toppa is so amazing”  and them writing “Oh My God Tengen Toppa is so friggin Lame” I am not a harsh blog-owner, but yeah I think that would be very neat.Work In progress though! In essence a long term project as well! I already had some people show interest so I am actually working on a recruitment message and details as you read this!

I might also do a blog tour, when I just joined Scott’s Space is the Place tour really impressed me and I thought.. that’s something I’d like to to one day. So one day I will. This again isn’t a short term project as I have no idea on it yet.. just aspirations.  I might also take up one of these random 30 days challenges somewhere along the line. It’s not like I’d need the content ideas , I might do them on top of my normal stuff! Above and beyond! Or I might do a Twitter version of these! Collabs are more in the work! One is being discussed slowly but it will get there!  Anxiety and that demon prevent me from asking people for collabs though..like I am sure that little demon would really hurt me and drive me mad if someone told me they did not have the time or did not want to do a collab at this time. I might just have to grow so big that people want to collab with me!  Wishes are there, aspirations are there.. but that little demon is also there. I plan to starve that little demon a bit more before I take on anything overly ambitious that could lead to rejection. I also need ideas!  Though I have a few ideas! They are weird though! Like watching Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam better known as Turkish Star Wars with somebody without subtitles. I would also love to watch Gakkou Gurashi!/School Live  With someone who hasn’t seen it yet nor knows what it is. I just made those up though so there is still some other ideas in my brain! Including completely in text and trust based Batsu games but I am not sure who’d I’d trust with that!

Finally I plan to do another giveaway! That will be tomorrow! It will be a game again because I haven’t found a place yet where they give plushies by code! I am really excited about tomorrow’s giveaway! It’s a bit of a bigger gift then Ducktales but a bit less of a personal gift! Pretty luxurious though! So make sure to check back! Paradise 2.0.6 : Restyling Pinkie’s Paradise!

I am so happy! With just 20 days till my blog anniversary! I launch a new style?! Why now and not the anniversary?! Well mostly because I  want to build up to Blog Birthday Week.. an event I have not planned yet at all but I bet will be amazing! Also.. honestly! The old look had some inconveniences.. which I rather patch out sooner rather than later! I just waited until now because well.. that’s how far head already worked by the time I finished this. Anyway let’s talk about the restyle! 

My pink sand background had an ugly cutting line in between. I never truly noticed this until recently. After I knew it had to change! So after searching hour after hour for a loopable pink cute tropical seeming thing I gave up. It did not exist at least not in a shape that could please me!

So I expanded my gaze and found these adorable sparkling pink and white cloud  things! Which were amazing! They should be perfectly Looped and non seizure inducing sparkly. I always favoured a pink and white colour scheme but opted for a more sunset like vibe in the blogs original design.  Due to a few changes in WordPress I can no longer adhere to said theme without constantly having to copy paste hex codes which is a hassle given the way I work. So instead we lean more into the cutesie vibes with the Island vibe coming more from in post flavorings and the menus itself etc. Sparkly ribboned clouds is on brand! So I will use them! It looks less yanky than before! The sparkles aren’t super smooth but I think I mentioned I like a slight clunk before!

I also chose to gave up the sand and sunset coloured  post background. The reason here is quite simple! It will save me SOOOOO much editing time. Plenty of items I use have a white background. While the site was yellow that meant editing out said white background and make it transparent which could take loads of time! Especially if my image also features something white.. like a Gardevoir or a PS5.  It just cost me time I felt I could best spend elsewhere!  Why not make things easier for yourself every now and again. From an editing stance it makes sense as well. Images I design are made to look good on a light background (as that is how Photoshop shows them) and not my eggnog yellowy one, so this way I think my creations pop out a bit more! And I can get away with a lot more sloppy cutting! Rejoice! I can cheat! Which sometimes is a good thing!

Of course the biggest change is that we move away from my beloved Chibi Pinkie into my commissioned one. She has been used in a lot of posts recently  so I am sure you saw her around. This avatar comes with 10 emotions spread across 3 different poses. She was designed by the incredibly talented Bananabel_Split who works for quite a soft price!  I just send her Picrew Pinkie and Chibi maker Pinkie was well as a scrap book of emotes  and suggestions and we got to work together! Communication was crystal clear delivery was super fast and I could not be happier with the result! Well.. that is not completely true I would have been happier with the results if I had some cookies when I watched them.. ir if I found a bunch of money ..but you guys who what I mean!  I am happy to provide you with a link to her fiver page!  Check her work out right here!  And of course I present you with all the Pinkies! 

A new avatar also comes with a new favicon but more importantly a new header! Because  well .. the avatar is on the banner!  So gone is the sunset design and because it fitted more with the white and pink theme we now have a sunny beach design filled with pink characters from every field i review!  Pink shirt Vegeta represents anime, while Pinked up Scrooge Mcduck represents my love for gaming. The Pink Sentai is there for movies and tv series.. mostly because there aren’t to many pink movie characters and I just found it super cute!  The beholder is there since I love DnD and it and Luma , the Pink Eldritch child behind Vegeta represent my chaos and my own fiction!  There is a few cute things down below that represent the island vibe! The banner represents what I stand and write about just like the other banner but instead of the iconography route I chose icons people will recognise.  The palm trees by the blog name have been replaced by some cute coconut cocktails which brings me to our next subject!

Starting with this post, and hopefully retroactively my last 9 posts (the number of posts my main page displays)  will be displayed in new forms of cocktails! New featured images to be displayed on my home page and on social media and stuff! Where before I had a glass for each form of content cocktail editing those to be of passable quality was hard and I often missed a lot of tiny details!  These featured images also were a bit to big!  So I now opted for a universal coconut with a hole in it for every form of content. I just slide a image behind it and  Erase a bit of excess material and tadaa I am done! Now of course I would not leave you to guess what I am writing about so the type icons are back! For those with a keen eye they even have different colour umbrellas! We got Blue for movies because Bluevie sounded cute, we got ameranth for anime, green for games , grey for geeky lifestyle, purple for pokemon and red for writer posts! Now that last one might not look like a match but write red sounds like it alliterates! So it counts! Oh and the cute little animal companion for Geeky Lifestyle has been replaced! A panda instead of a d20! Because the panda much more reflects my lifestyle! Don’t worry though! Dicey is still around as well!

Those are not the only new coconuts around! I opened Camp Coconut, this is like a hall of fame for my Kofi supporters, or others who significantly contributed to my blog! For example for providing Artwork or a collab Buddy! The biggest supporter is crowned King Coconut! If you find yourself represented in camp coconut you can send me any link you like people can visit by clicking your coconut… no NSFW though.  Your avatar will have a cute little story next to it in which I thank you. If you support me more your coconut can evolve with me adding stuff to it based on what I know about you! Except for King Coconut ( or Queen/Crowned) they just stand above the rest and can if they show choose drop a little text of their own in the camp! This may also contain another link if you so prefer or be omitted if you do not want to! King Coconut will be praised on Twitter with an @ during full moon! (For me) I am weird huh! If camp Coconut expands more features might be unlocked. I know it’s weird but it’s at least something. To have a link you don’t persé need a content channel. If you want to Rickroll people by clicking on your coconut.. that’s fine as well.. or PFUDOR-bomb them. You know just something to have fun with as a thank you for your support. 

So my Ko-Fi Banner featured the Chibi and a now old meme so that had to go as well! It has now been replaced with the much more tranquil banner, Put a little coffee in your cocktail! Since it’s a home-made button that will be at the end of my content cocktails I thought that made sense! The alcreamie depicted in the picture with me, is my loyal Whippy, the alcreamie I use in my Pokémon Shield game, it matches well with coffee! Since I can’t afford the business plan for WP yet and have no access to plugins, this is the button that will take you! Of course that is never required! I appreciate regular followers, comments and likes as well so please do not think me mentioning this is more than me just discussing the picture and new appreciation system. It’s just something I think looks pretty cute! And less dated than Toss a Coin to your Pinkie. 

I also made a custom OWLS asset! Recently we have been given a new Owls Mascotte, I think his name was Sir Hoot, but that might be my imagination or one of my dialogues! I wanted to feature the the new OWL but of course I had to make it feel like it belongs! So I gave it a pink hair ribbon! Sir Hoot can dress the way it wants! No judgment here! This way it feels a bit like my version and my pet OWL!. I also gave it a cute pink background so sit on..because that is a colour theme for this site if you haven’t noticed! The picture will still link you to the OWLS blog and in my OWLS post I will use the actually official image of course! As a still image on my site though it will have it’s ribbon! Now not the final piece of new assets I made is an improved review system! I felt too often I lacked something being Okiwi and something being Berry Good, so Pine-meh-pple evolved and became Fine-apple and moved in between his old neighbour Kiwi and the recent berry replacement strawberry! Strawberry felt a bit more resort-like, I once played some weird beach volleyball game where girls kept feeding each other those! Not sure why .. I would eat them myself! Anyway they where in a resort and I saw no blueberries there so we made the swap. Blueberry is now my bath-time companion! Mango also has had a makeover and now is tied in the style of the others. Sub-Pear, the Sub Par Pear portmanteau has moved into Mehple’s place and now we have a more nuanced and readable review system that is more in house style.

Finally my contact form is fixed so it sends emails to a viable address so that page got updated as well, including some rules of conduct for sending mails! If anyone ever used the contact form to send me anything I am sorry I missed that! It’s not because I do not like you or think you are unworthy of my time, it’s because each day the old address gave me like 463 horoscope posts and 73 pokemon ones. It’s fixed now though so if you want to e-mail take advantage now!  Before I break it again! I am terrible in administrative stuff so that breaking still will happen! The About Page  will change a little while after the release of this post depending on my schedule by then! I could not upload that early because of spoilers and all!

Now for the font lovers, I doubt you are out there, I changed those as well. My titles are now Fertigo Pro Italic and the main text is now in Pt Serif. I think it feels just slightly more like a hotel flyer like this with quite readable superscript whom I have fallen in love with over the past couple of weeks. If you have any trouble reading things please let me know but I think readability should have really improved! All things considered at least. The Menu also has been fixed, now the Pokémon Cocktail Menu Item should take you to everything with the Pokémon Category instead of everything with the Pokémon Tag! It glitched before! The Temtem cocktail has been removed, it took them to long to fix chat and I fell out of love with it the lonely experience. I might be returning to it after summer.

Pinkiespokemon.com has been stopped as a domain so now there is only Paradise! For those who visit my site through URL means they might get bounced to an inactive domain. I haven’t quit I am still here! And since you are reading this, I do assume you found it. This post will be shared on twitter a few times should it turn out that my numbers are down though to address that.  That about covers the changes but not all the plans! I have big once for the future.  So if you are checking this out in reader, please visit the actual site and check how awesome it has become! Thank you for sticking by me for so long! Onto the anniversary!

Preview Sutorandopinki: Pinkie’s Very own Manga

I felt like doing something different today and so I played around a bit in Photoshop. Even if I am not using any original art, I managed to “collage” my way into a concept for a Manga.  It is Called. Suturandopinki: I stranded in Paradise now I have to save the internet with smiles. Today I want to give you a preview.

Plot Summary

A young woman is shipwrecked..hearing the mysterious voice of a woman she calls Bean the girl wakes up on a tropical Island.  Soon she befriends a beach ball and a duck who tell her all about the evil lord Shikamettsura, who is trying to destroy all the happiness of the way bigger.. and much more crowded “Internet Island. Since the evil Lord banishes everything happy.. and it ends up on the island of the girl she decides to build a resort with i, which the citizens of internet Island can visit to experience happiness still. Now a thorn in Shikamettsura’s sight, the woman nicknamed Pinkie and her friends have to discover the magical power of smiles to face the dark minions and to keep happiness alive.

The plot is obviously based on my website and what it stands for. Taking inspiration from both elements of my real life and my blogging life and topping it with anime sauce and plenty of renames.  It might feature spoofs of other bloggers, youtube personalities and other things. All in good spirit of course. My wordpress journey.. the imaginative Manga retelling is what this will be.

Art

As I am not an artist this is all repurposed art I found elsewhere. Most characters will be done in a simple and easily to mimic style and I will make sure to not include detailed OCs or art in it.  I will try to stick to to chibi maker characters and basic art as much as possible. Should you want your OC feature in this feel free to ask. I do not claim any of this art as my own I simply wish to express myself in a way that might be enjoyable for my readers as well as be fun for me to make. Again everything I do I try to do in good spirit and to have fun.

Release Schedule

When will I release it?  I am not yet sure! I think I will release it on my blog in ten page episodes as each page does take a long time for me to make. So it will be done when it is done and I will work on it whenever I feel inspired. So you will all just have to wait and see when it will be released….surprise!  To get you in the spirit a bit however I have a three page .. and title page preview for you all. Like any Manga you read from Right to left.Enjoy the preview! And remember to keep smiling!
