Hello my Little Lights, while I would not have minded keeping the Sunshine Blogger Awards I have gotten at 11, the lunacy number, McKenna tagged me in this post with some REALLY interesting questions. I won’t tag new people though as I already tagged well over 50 for these. So feel free to take my questions I post at the end and turn them into a post, no need to even make it a Sunshine blogger award if you don’t want to! Thanks McKenna for the awesome questions though! Reader click on her name to visit an awesome blog! I’ll be skipping the whole rule thing as well, if you need them, there are 11 other posts on my site that explain them! I really just want to get to these awesome questions.

What’s your favorite dish to cook (or that someone else has cooked for you)?

I will admit that my sister is way more chefworthy then I am and she has cooked me some great food in the past, however I would not say I am a slouch in the kitchen either. My favourite dish to cook is a grilled liver, with bacon bits, onions and carrots, in a beer reduction and black peppercorn gravey/sauce. With big oven baked potato chips.. like Flemish chips.. and served with a spinach and mushroom salad. My blood iron values aren’t always amazing so a meal like this really puts a spring back in my step and the o2 back in my blood. It’s pretty good, savourey and wholesome.

It’s pubfood.. but I love the wholesomeness that good pub food has to it. I love to experiment when I cook as well.. each week I try to invent a new dish. Last week I made a grilled capsican and onion puree, with beef that I gave a crust of bread that I soaked into hot sauce before.. “Red Pepper Crusted beef I called it” with some Broccoli and mushrooms to provide some earthy flavours. I hardly ever plan a dish.. I think about what flavours I want to taste tonight and then I think up a meal that would give me those flavours oftenly in a new way… doesn’t always work out though!

What’s your ideal simulation game like?

This one is tricky since I dont like simulation games all that much, it depends on what you call a simulation game though.. Do we call StarDew Valley a farming simulator?! I do love that game! To me a simulator game has a simulator in the title OR Tycoon! Not sure why.. but well if Stardew Valley is a sim.. it is pretty much the perfect one. If we go by my definition it would probably be something close to what Cooking Simulator is right now. The game can’t take itself too seriously and has to have some whimsey, you have to be able to do much about it.

Farming Simulator is huge in germany, back when I had a job/internship in video game reporting I wanted to Cologne Gamescom and kind of had to play it … but darn is this boring stuff. I want to get in a tractor and run over my pigs..well not really want that.. but I want to be able to do that if I so choose. In Cooking Simulator I can make a meal.. but I can also just try to light a candle with a Cremé Brulee burner thing and accidentally set the floor on fire. I can feed cardboard people and go crazy and toss all the dishes…so in short I pretty much want it to simulate the ultimate murphy’s law effects of whatever I am simulating.

What should the next eeveelution type be? Feel free to choose a brand new type

Honestly I think they should make an Eevee Counterpart rather than a new eevee. Something that gets every type that Eevee doesn’t have. Eevee currently basically has every typing that has a special attacking bias, with the physical evolutions not being available to it… even though Eeveelutions bounce between physical and special themselves a bit. So I would love to see a slug-like creature that can transform into the Steel, Ground, Rock, Bug , Fighting, Ghost and Dragon Type. However since Eevee has long since became mascotte number 2, I doubt she will ever get competition.

In which case I would love a Sound Type Eevee. Why Sound Type.. it’s a typing many of us have been asking for. It would be strong against the Steel and Fairy types to balance how powerful these types are a bit. Sound types would be special attackers, which I think is a tradition they need to keep for the Eevee line .. to keep the dream of my slug alive. It would evolve by turning your volume on your Switch to make.. in handheld mode when Eevee Levels up from battle. It’s name would be Symphoneon. It would get moves like screech , Hyper Voice and Perish song and function a bit as a counterpart for Sylveon.. less bulky , harder hitting, speedier.. with a design that is more cool than cute.

Do you like bubble/boba tea/drinks? If so, what’s your order?

I do like bubble tea, it isn’t very easy to get here as we have very limited locations that offer it. Though locations are popping up more and more, finding one in the nearest city isn’t really a guarantee yet. If they do the flavours are limited. As such I usually save it as a convention treat. If I am at a convention I will get bubble tea and will go crazy for it. I really love the melon soda variety, maybe with some very citrusy flavoured bubbles or lychee flavoured bubbles. I’d love to see a green Melon soda with Water Melon bubbles combo if I could pick anything but I haven’t seen that one yet. I have seen either or though.. so in theory it should be possible for me to get that! One can always have hope Is there any flavour etiquette for these?! I do not know I usually just pick something!

How I feel , at a Bubble Tea Place!

When character customization is available, do you make your character look as close to you as possible or do you change things up?

Almost never, why would I restrict myself to my physical limitations when I can be anything. Stardew Valley is a bit of an exception and in the sims I always make a character that is like me.. but I love to walk around with twin tails in video games..It isn’t very doable on the streets though. So it’s more like I’d make the Sweet Lolita version of me I want to be rather than the pink wearing Otaku I settle to be.

On occasion I also roleplay and those characters tend to create something more evil looking. I do try to incorporate some of my features though, I love it if I can have glasses and I tend to make my characters fairly flat and not the prettiest. Keep them human..it will also help with role playing them a bit. So actually I do a bit of a mix of what I want to be plus what I am.. both in a combination to scratch an itch yet not create a toxic unlivable self image for myself?! I create hybrid me’s?! is that weird?! I don’t know anymore.. but that is how I create characters.

Do you have any non-gaming hobbies that overlap with gaming

I hate to kick in an open door but yeah I do have a non gaming hobby that overlaps with gaming… It’s called blogging. It overlaps because I talk a lot about games when I blog.. so I am pretty sure it counts. Healthy prevents me from picking up my YouTube right now BUT?!…..when I get back to that, that also has overlap. I am such a huge geek that everything I do overlaps with gaming. When I go out with friends, I talk about anime and gaming. When I go to play crane games at the fair.. I use gamer tactics and when I go shopping, I love to buy pop figures.

I love gaming.. and other forms of geekdom..but all my cosplay has been video game characters..technically Megurine Luka is a bit iffy… but I think she counts. At anime conventions I spend a lot of time in the game room. Even one of my jobs had overlap with gaming. When I bake a cake it looks like Pacman! .. There is no real overlap with gaming there though.. I just get the first piece before any of you can share my cake so it will always look like pacman!

What upcoming indie game are you most excited about?

I usually don’t really follow the development of Indie Titles, a lot of the stuff I like either gets cancelled or we never hear from the people again so I tend to just look at what’s out there currently…early development is allowed of course. Yet there is one title I am super excited about, and it is actually a title McKenna turned me onto.and that game is Monster Harvest. This is basically a combination of Pokémon and StarDew Valley. I actively think about this game now! It has no release date yet, but near the end of february the announced that coding was done and that seems like a good thing.. I assume that means all events are written and thus the story is finished?! But hey I do not know how coding works I just assume stuff here. I also really liked the idea of Battle Gem Ponies.. but the Demo of it was pretty terrible! I know it is in Pre-Alpha but man… if I see they have been making this for over a year I can not help but feel a bit anxious this might not be as good as I hoped.

Do you collect anything?

Do Sunshine Blogger Awards count? I have like 12 of them! Just kidding though, I haven’t really been actively collecting anything recently. I collect Pokémon Plushies and Unicorn plushies as well as other cute plushies but with a twist. I can’t just buy them in the store and put them in a closet, there has to be a story to it. Say I find a unicorn in a crane game while on a theme park adventure with friends… that’s a unicorn I can get. This does include gifts though, because gifts always come with a story. All my plushies come with a story , some more interesting than others but non of them were bought just because I think they were cute.

My Giant Micro Pig Plushie, Miss Genevieve Luckybutt, I got because I wrote a post on Plushies for OWLS and I wanted to set an example of supporting your favourite dealers you normally see at conventions. She is the closest I got to “flat-out” store buying though. I also do a similar thing with Pop Figures, each convention I usually do buy a Plushie and a Pop but never with an intention of finding a specific one.. I always let earlier conversations or events guide me.. I do prefer weird pops though. I have a Bob Ross Funko for example with his Raccoon!

What color pallet represents you?

So I think you can guess this one pretty much. We start with #FF89CD pink as a basis it’s a nice bubblegum like pink in the center of my pallet, to the left would be white and to the right black. Then in between it’s basically just shades of pink with the #ff89CD towards white side of the pallet, dealing with some pastels, while the right side towards the black deals with increasingly “hotter” shades of pink. Pink to me stands for identity. I spend a lot of time in the hospital and in different hospitals.. and you begin to notice how they say ‘Good Morning <Miss Lastname>’ in this weird tone of utter nothingness. As if spat out by a text randomiser almost. A translation of your patient number.. but eventually I became Pink girl… an identifier when there are non… and so it became a trait and a symbol to me.. so my pallet is all sorts of pinks!

The developers of Crypt of the NecroDancer got to take on The Legend of Zelda with ***Cadence of Hyrule*. What game would you like to see Cadence explore next?**

Well we need a game that has some bitchin music and maybe something that is slightly different gameplay wise to the other two games. So one of the options I would love to see is Cadence of Mega City, a Megaman Cadence game. I think that would be a great candidate. More focussed on shooting but there is a lot of platforming in Megaman that required very specfic timing so I think that would be emulated as well. It would not be easy but perhaps it could even be combined with the battle network gameplay.. while still being a legacy game. I do see some options.

Another option that would make a lot of sense to me is Cadence of Underground , covering Undertale as a game. I feel the battle system of undertale can be crossed with a bit of a Cadence style gameplay as well as it already lends itself to rhythm based dodging from the get go. Reason I am not picking Final Fantasy here by the way is because it already has it’s own rhythm games and plenty of other support. Undertale, having visited Switch, would be a fairly viable candidate as people really remember it for it’s unique gameplay but it’s music as well.

What’s your favorite shade of blue?

I wonder who will be the first to answer.. Light blue or Dark Blue to this! So I need to keep track of the other people tagged! My favourite shade of blue is Ruddy Blue. Specifically the slightly faded variant on the Ruddy blue spectrum. Hex Code: #8BB8E4. It is connected to the bill of the Ruddy Duck. This duck is also known as Oxyura jamaicensis, so let’s please call it the Ruddy Duck so I don’t have to type that again. It’s latin name .. and it Dutch name Rosse Stekelstaart, refer to it’s stiff tail. Rosse in dutch basically means ginger. So it’s a duck that is stiffer than most and kind of an outcast for being ginger! I am bound by all my laws to love this! I love ducks! The colour that is based on a duck is therefore an amazing colour and Ruddy blue combines fairly well with pink! So cheers for Ruddy Blue! My favourite shade of blue!

OWLS Mini CONmunity Anime Is Never Cancelled! Pinkie’s Plushies: Support Your Dealers.

Dutch anime conventions can have their quirks, the concept of a “panel” is usually reserved for Comic Con only while our conventions feature a lot of workshops and home brew cute events. While I do like a workshop in whiskey tasting, AMV making DDR etc. My motor skills being poor prevent me from really shining in Amigurumi stuff etc. I tried once I impaled myself with one of those hook things.. I best stick to shops and cute stuff! So totally on brand today I bring you Pinkie’s Plushies! I present you some potential plush pals and bring you some sweet stuffed toys from some sweet people who normally are dealers on conventions. That is my way of the OWL.

Welcome to my adorable little store, what I sell you today isn’t just plushies! I am trying to sell you on some amazing people in the business as well! A convention isn’t just about us as visitors it’s also about these people who purchase, craft and sell their amazing goods to use trying to make a living. Tofu Cute is an amazing store that tempts me into buying their adorable stuff every time I see it. It’s an England based company that doesn’t have to do as much with Tofu as it does have to do with cute. Because my oh my do these guys have some cute stuff. From simple Japanese sweets to the most adorable stationary and very special keychains and charms. If you need any cuteness in your life this store is such a safe bet. They have a member plan and pretty manageable shipping prices, at least if you live in the European area like me , not sure how it goes for those living overseas but I still think these ship for pretty sweet deals! Hige Manju Maneki Neko Reiwa Giant Plush

The first thing I am offering in my in my little store are these big Maneki Neko’s that look adorable and perfectly huggable.. which is a pretty good trait for a plushie to have. Being 35 centimeters tall and coming in two variants the Calico and the Black cat. The description Tofu Cute gives to this one is spot on Adorably round lucky cats holding golden amulets, huge & round & huggable! These two deserve a warm home and loving new owners. Both are originally made in Japan by the company Amuse which is quite good quality stuff there. Most of Tofu’s stuff comes from them and it feels super soft and good! So there is my seal of approval.. I once or twice held something similar. Still just look at the black one.. doesn’t he just look like the cutests grouch?! AMUSE Micro Pig Giant Plush

Speaking of Amuse , let’s discuss my most recent Tofu Cute Purchase. The clover Giant Micro Pig. It’s pink, squishy it looks great on my bed.. which is pink and white and it’s large enough for me to hug without losing in the middle of the night! I just feel in love with how it’s eyes sparkled and how it’s mouth emotes cute oinking noises and how “anime pig” it looks! I am still on the hunt for an Anime Duck plush but Miss Luckubutt (Which is how I named my plush pig) is very welcome addition to my family! What would make it better is if any of you could adopt her brothers or sisters so through our bond as bloggers our plushies can be together!
Anyway Tofu Cute describes these cuties as Adorable micro pig giant plush, super fuzzy and cuddly with unique patterns! I love my plushies fuzzy! Miss Luckybutt arived a few days ago and I adore her. Amuse miight make crane game plushies but these are leagues apart from your average crane game plush! With this pig you will also have bacon in bed each morning! Talk about lucky! If you are a bit like me you have found yourself staring at your dog wondering why it is not more like a donut. If you are a bit like me you have found yourself staring at your cat-octopus hybrid and ask. Why is it not more like a humanoid Reindeer with a pink hat! Luckily the brilliant Hannah has come with a solution for this. A Tony Tony Chopper Kittypi that also comes as just a hat! So even if you would not want an adorable tentacle (non) tanuki you can still get cute pink decoration of real high quality! These are really good! Chopper easily is one of the most true looking plushies in this store! In fact if you told me this was a rumble ball form from the Anime, i’d totally believe it! It’s colouring really stands out to me and if I had the money , I’d totally pick it up! Running for about $75 this one unfortunately is a bit of my plushie range, but this little guy will just be as happy if you pick it up today! I bet Hannah will love it if you do as well!

Meowth or Alolan Meowth Kittypi

If you are even more like me you know there can never be enough Pokémon in Your Life. Kittypi Meowth is one of Hannah’s proudest works and with Galar now being a thing she can now make three! As her store is commission based I bet you can make it as crazy as you’d like. Yet her cats all look so adorable that these cat pokémon are like a super safe way to go and add something super cute to your bed , shelves or couch. Now Meowth is a bipedal pokemon so that makes it hard to place a plushie like that. Now that it has become an octopus as well it can be put everywhere! That’s pretty amazing, think of the logistics! I really love how kantonian meowth is totally adorable and it’s dark type counterpart has so much personality as well. I’d totally want to buy them as a set! But now I need my metal furbaby as well so this set can be complete! When I already want more, you are doing something right!

All Might Kittypi

For my last pick it is time to go beyond! Plus Ultra Adorable! This thing is amazing and I feel the show is overrated so to the true fans this guys must be a must buy right? Flying its U.A. colourv scheme and all mights in general I can assure you that this plush is high quality! It will not shrivel up into a skinny weak man! It will save you from your lonely nights and bad dreams for it is a hero. It’s special attack, United States of Hug can defrost even the coldest of hearts! Your girlfriend will steal the covers, your hubby will hug and roll you out of his space or fart under the blankets ! Even your Dakimakura is not as loyal as this All Might.. put it next to you and it will keep you safe and loved All Night! And hey if you just happen to breath in one of its hairs you might gain super powers! Talk about a super deal.

It doesn’t happen so often that I encounter a store that resonates with my sense of aesthetics and cuteness so much that I more or less believe that this shop is lead by an alternate universe version of me.. just one that is more talented, more successful and even more pretty than I am! This store manages to pull it off though! Their Linktree is done in a soft pink, their webstores artwork is done in pink’s and baby blues with white, which is a theme I really like and have used when this was still a Pokémon Blog and basically her entire visual style, the characters they create, the linework everything on this site speaks to me. Giant Meowchi Plush Unicorn

What if you took Nyancat and made it like a billion times cuter, a gazillion times less annoying and infinitely more huggable! Seriously toast is so fragile! Than you’d get this Giant Mewochi Plush Unicorn. Being 10.5 inch tall, which is yet another measurement standard I can do nothing with , I am sure it lives up to its expectations of Giant. This is the one that got away for me! Being on Sale for a very affordable $30 bucks .. with free US delivery during the COVID times, this is a pretty sweet deal for all of you in the states! Lots of Meowchi to love! Just look at it doesn’t it make you happy?! This tiny , big one can’t wait for you to hug it and make your pillows softer as putting your head on a marshmallow as that is it’s magical power! It’s a very neutral plush that can look cute in any decoration as well and bring a little rainbow in your life! Such a great plush for such a sweet deal!

Mallow, The Stegosaurus DinoS’more

One look at and it’s gleeful eyes is enough to fall in love with this little creature! It’s rosey cheeks on it’s desaturated peach skin help sell that joy de vivre this little thing has about life as it tells you exactly how happy and cheery this little DinoS’more is! We don’t even have S’mores here but I just can imagine how soft and squishy Mallow would be to hug! It also shares a name with one of the most Amazing WordPressers I know! So supportive! If this Mallow does even half of that.. I can tell you it’s money well spend! Just looking at the picture as I write this my brain is like.. I want to feed it cookies..brand ones as well! Like Oreo and Chips-Ahoy Chocolate Chip Cookies. As someone who talks to my plushies I know I might be biassed but Mallow has such a strong voice I can just imagine it already..without even owning one! Think of the conversations you can have if you are as crazy as me and more of a United States based than me! If I had a Mallow I might try baking just so I could make the plushie watch me! It will also hear me curse than because I am not good at baking! Luckily I would have a Mallow to cheer me up once I fail! Nocturii the Dragon Fruit Bat

When Pinkie was born she did not get one but two bunnies two love, and her favorite one had a face exactly like Nocturii, only Pinkie’s bunny wasn’t pink.. nor could it fly… nor would it taste so good if you eat it… in the fictional sense… This little critter is something truly unique and feels like it should be in a kids anime like Maple Town or something. I do not know why but I also imagine it as the mascotte of a bungalow park! Like on the kids network it would fly all over the map and tell the children where the playground is, where the swimming pool is and where the special magic show and kids club are! All so that mommy and daddy can have some peace and quiet! ‘Momma Momma! Nocturii is at the boulevard can I go and see her?’ I would be so excited if I was a kid seeing this as a mascotte! The Bunny like features make it lovable while the batlike features make it completely unique! That leaf on her head because it’s also a fruit just finish it and making this into one of the strongest OC plushies I have seen. That is Tasty Peach greatest strength.. it all feels so unique yet it also manages to appeal to you on a very core level. An absolute gem of a dealer and I hope people can support them in these difficult times!

In this post I am trying to give you a bit of everything, from people who craft their own plushies and items themselves, to people who completely create their own OC’s to importers from Japanese plushie makers. Corocoro Coronya Plush

If you are like me you have looked at your dog and wondered.. why aren’t it legs more like pastry. San-X made a character for you and Neko Stop made it come to the states while keeping the bun fresh and soft.. the soft part goes for the rest of the dog as well. From what I have seen you can remove the dog from the bun but no guarantees! My research took me to some auto translate Japanese pages that showed me weird dutch queries like “the fatness of Chinese dogs and crusty cats. I am sure something went wrong in translation! Neko Shop tries to respond to all your questions within twenty four hours though so I bet they can answer everything you need to know about this dog in a blanket.. The Edible kind. I myself would just like to have it for the randomness.. a dog in a croissant like thing… Actually it’s that thing from the first episode of Lucky Star where they discuss how to eat a pudding filled croissant like thing.. but I forgot how it’s actually called. I am pretty sure it’s not Chinese Dog’s Fatness. $25 Dollars for a on brand, on model and official plush like this isn’t that expensive! If it isn’t cute enough for you I am sure it will be delicious!

Rilakkuma Autumn Gloves Plush!

While I had plenty of plushies in my life I don’t think I ever had an actual bear.. well excluding my panda.. but still that doesn’t really feel like a Teddy. Rilakkuma most definitely is a Teddy so I really want one! This Autumn Glove Edition is perfect for a Dutchie like me because we like to complain about the weather and I am not sure if this little bear is fit for cold weather. It clearly is wearing Winter Gear for while it is only still Autumn.. we Dutch have a word for this and it’s cold Koukleum.. a person who does not like cold! We are still very much in the middle of summer unless you live in Australia or picked southern Hemisphere in Animal Crossing, so this bear should not be that cold! So time for you to warm it up with warm loving hugs! The tiny gloves it wars are so adorable and it means it will not scratch you even if it’s a bear so this is a total win. Costing around $28 dollars that seems like a fairly fair price for something as Kawaii as this! I have no idea how big it is because the measurements are in inches but my guesstimate size would be .. adorable! This is definitely a teddy I would welcome in my home and if you are into plushies so should you!

Sentimental Circus Shappo

It might not come to any surprise that among all those plushies I have selected at least one in every store had some pink elements since CoroCoro and Rilakkuma miss that I needed something to meet that quota. Presenting Shappo! Shappo is one of the weirder San-X character and definitely takes after me! With a teacup tiny top hat, a bit of a scary face and an adorable puppet this creature blends adorableness with a bit of creepiness. It looks like it could kill you.. or at the very least curse you..so this one is very nice to add if your mom tells you to give up your plushies.. you just sit that on your bed or couch making sure if faces wherever your mom sits when she is over for visits..assuming most my of followers live by myself.. or at least are a bit secluded to their own room! When she says.. you gotta get rid of those your an adult now you just point at Shappo and say….shhh they hear you! She will stare at it and drop it right away. There is also that appeal to bunny plushies.. Maybe it was because it was my first animal but for some reason I feel like all bunny like plushies always come out extra adorable! So do pick up a Shappo today if you want to have something else sitting on your bed for once! It is really ornate and a bit pricey coming in at about $39 dollars so it might not be for everybody.. but I at least love this style.. so I am sure there are more people like me!

The final store is something special. During the OWLS live stream event which I watched later due to not being awake at the time of streaming Naja and Lita eluded to a mysterious OWL having their own store that sells Amigurumi dolls! Of course this person would be on my dealer to support list us OWLS should stick together and they get one of those coveted corner spots of my dealer table as well! Takeru Sasazuka Amigurumi

If you are a bit like me you have looked at a guy and thought.. Shut your face! Like Don’t say anything! Don’t even look at me! All I need now is a hug from you..but don’t be you because you make me angry! This Collar X Malice remake has got you covered. While I know nothing about the game or the character, a little image search leads me to believe that this character is really very much into sweets! That’s cute..but those are my donuts and cookies! With Naja’s Takeru though you get the best of everything you just described! He won’t talk back.. he won’t give you the look and he certainly won’t touch your food! He is just there for you to love! I am not sure what type of ladies he likes..but little love story does not require you to act a specific way! This little love story can be unlocked by supporting Naja! You get a lovely little doll pal, Naja gets happy and you can now chase another guy with Takeru already being there so you no longer have to feel bad for picking him! I am not very good at romancy games because I can never replay it and go for another romance. I feel bad for not picking the first. Dragon Quest Your Story the movie explained that well! So with an option like this I would feel better! So Go play Collar X Malice, do the Takeru Route.. if that is a thing.. and buy this as your trophy!

Sushi Bunny Tamago

No! I have never looked at my bunny and wondered if it would be nicer if it was more like sushi! I just dropped an omelette on my bunny! Just kidding.. That did happen to my dog she did not mind as much as me! She had an omelette that day.. Nowadays I have neither Dog nor Bunny to drop an omelette on! My plushies do usually not go near the kitchen! Now that means there is a hiatus in my house! Tiny Plushies I could decorate my kitchen with! Naja has a great answer in the form of these briljant and adorable Sushi bunnies! All I can say is I truly love these! If I ever marry a rich american girl who’s willing to support me these will definitely decorate our house! You can really see the personalities in them as well. Did you know that a Bunny-Rice-Ball would rather be covered by Tuna than with egg for example? I did not but Naja sure did! So if you manage to have enough for a set, they will all look quite different and unique! A great thing to collect or an totally awesome gift! Egg based creatures can be totally awesome friends! You should know if you read my more experimental pieces!

Rowlet Pokemon

One of my favourite grass type Pokémon, the former mascot of Owls before Sir Hoot (at least I think that is it’s name) took over. This is a pick for all of you Owls members who would like a physical token of their Owlness. Not only do you support a fellow Owl and one of our long time members, you’d get your own little badge of honour! Plus one of the best pokémon starters ever! Her pokémon work on the store is adorable and throughout! I love the Pikachu as well and I rarely love Pikachu! Pokémon Go kinda keeps ruining it more for me! How many hats do you gotta have! The piplup is adorable as well. Yet Rowlet I say is Naja’s greatest work. I’ve been blogging about Pokémon for a year now so you can take this as an expert opinion as well. I mean that in the positive way.. like comparing fine wines and picking a Château Léoville Barton over a Château Pichon Longueville Lalande. I know a lot of you don’t like Plushies all that much or as much as I do but Naja here shows that a Plush or a little cuddly companion can be more! A symbol of what ties us together!

Phew that was a lot of work! This brings me to my conclusion of today’s post! I know I tried to sell you these things but know I get nothing out of it! Nor is that my intention! These people at least for the most part, normally are out there on conventions selling these things and making trying to make a living. In times like these they can be less discovered and might be struggling. For me Cons for a big part are about shopping and talking to shopkeepers, fangirling over items I might never be able to get but can dream about. These dealers are just as much a part of conventions as we are as guests.So if you have a plushie loving friend, share the links to the stores I shared with you or browse these peoples stores for something you might like as well.

Support your own favourite dealer! If you are into gunpla.. for once buy it online as if you would spend it on a con. If you are into Japanese candy or artwork order some of that! If you can miss something of course. It is why I bought Miss Luckybutt.. she costs me about what I would normally spend on cons! I really get happy when I see a table of plushies in the dealer room of my cons and if we all support what we love just a bit.. we can help the other side of the conventions as well as ourselves! Support your dealers.. by granting your own desires! Now I am sold out for the day!
Remember to be however you want to be and don´t be afraid to give yourself a treat from your dealers…do not take that out of context!

Weird Pokémon Merchandise

Hey big monster people, its Chibi Pinkie again with a brand new post. Earlier Princess Pinkie send me a bunch of pokemon toys to look at. Stuff that we do not actually own but for the sake of this story will pretend too. Yet it was still fun to pretend! Though there are a lot of toys I did not really understand.. when I asked Princess Pinkie she just laughed really hard behind her fan thing! Maybe you can figure it out?

The Pokémon Finger Skateboard

Now this one was still a bit fun to play with.. but it’s like super retro like. So once upon a time before fidget spinners were cool and like whatever finger thing is hot right now… like way way way before… back in the late nineties the cool people like unwinded from all their stress by playing with a skateboard for your fingers. It was the age that people went crazy for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, the video game and everyone wanted to ollie and grind. So to relax there was this skateboard you could move right and left while wiggling your fingers. The coolest people out there could do tricks with them as well, like kids with Yoyo’s could walk the dog with their Yoyo .. people could do flips and stuff with their fingers. Which was a lot nicer than breaking every bone in your body. For some reason the pokémon company thought , well the finger skateboard market is something we need to get into or maybe it was the finger skateboard companies that thought.. we gotta use pokémon for some ‘sick’ deck designs. I think SICK was used as a good word back then. So they made some skateboards with pokémon on them.. for your fingers of course. Among a few other pokémon they chose clefairy and pidgeot to feature on their boards because that’s what the cool kids wanted. A dancing moon fairy and that bird Ash gave away. Kinda weird!

The Snorlax Bed or Pikachu Bed

Now this one was sold on Etsy once as a custom product, never officially licensed but it got kinda famous. So famous in fact that there was a more mass produced Pikachu version of it. I think that one had an official licence but I can’t be sure. You see in Japanese the beds are very different from ours. They are oftenly called Fuuton .. or something like that. They are more like rolls or those big soft things i always crashed into when we were having gymnastics at gym class. Their beds are always like on the floor without any feet or wooden casings .. you just plonf it there. Snorlax and Pikachu are those kinds of bed.. but do they look comfy I would totally get on. Princess Pinkie told me that I would not be able to hide dirty magazines under it.. but I don’t read a lot of magazines and why would they get dirty? At worst there are some crumbs on them and you can like wipe those off easily. With this bed you can sleep in Snorlax Belly or on Pikachu’s stomach sort off.. there’s like a flap of clothes you can lie under and their head is filled with … well you actually decided cause you have to buy that separately But yeah you can turn their head into a pillow. That’ nice I bet that is a whole lot better than my pillow. These bed thingies cost you about $350 dollars without the filling and without shipping so I guess compared to our beds they are pretty cheap as well. That’s like the price you pay for a mid quality mattress and those do not look as cute! Sleeping in this Snorlax is definitely a dream for me…but it’s kinda weird you slide into his belly.

Pokémoan

The princess told me that if I ever should get one of those beds I would need to get these toys as well. I do not know what they are but they look like silicon rods based on the kanto starter pokémon. The name is also spelled wrong so maybe these are like bootlegs? At first I thought they were like decoration.. like some of those african statues.. but when I displayed them on my windowsill people got really upset and embarrassed for some reason so I don’t think they liked them. According to the princess these make you feel good when you are alone and no one wants to give you special hugs, these will make you feel like you are getting special hugs. I don’t really get it though. One is shaped like a charmanders tail, which is kinda cute.. but I just hope they did not cut it off a charmander or it would die. The Bulbasaur one has the bulb on a green stick which confuses me even more.. why not make Ivysaur’s flower? That be prettier than just a seed right? It would make me a lot happier if it was blooming at least. The squirtle one kinda looks like a squirtle so I found that one the most fun to play with! But It did not have a face so I had to draw one on there. The pikachu one is really weird it’s thin and edgie and looks very frail. It has some weird bulbs and protrusions everywhere so I am not sure what to do with it.. it kinda looks like a toy dagger.. but I don’t like daggering. For something that doesn’t really look like a toy.. but claims itself to be a toyy.. they sure are expensive. They cost about $70 each.. with some a bit pricier and some being cheaper. Oddly enough there is this website Geekysextoys that sells them combined for $119 dollars. I dont know what a Geekysex is but they have a lot more toys that as confusing as these ones. There was a nice pink octopus I think his name was Burt Plug ..but he was expensive and for some reason I could not buy anything unless I was like 18+

Pokémon Dakimakura

This one has like a difficult word in the name but it’s like a weird two sided pillow featuring several pokémon. The weirdest one I found was the dragon ground pokémon Flygon. I like how the pillow it’s depicted on is pink but it kinda looks like it has been hit by toxic. It kinda looks sick staring at you feverishly.. like it is out of breath. This one sold on that Etsy website again. Aside from Flygon there is also one of like Lopunny who mega evolves if you flip the pillow over and vaporeon there’s even one of Sylveon and Glaceon. The last one is kinda cute.. but they kinda all take weird poses. They have these weird look in their eyes..something wild, I can not explain it but it scares me a bit. Like they really wanted to get a belly rub or something. They are made by some studio named Lemon Creme, who are still active on Etsy.. people really like their stuff as they have gotten a five star rating. These pillow casing are made of something called peachskin polyester and will cost you about $70 dollars. I asked on the forums why every poiémon looked like they had a fever but I only got a reply saying ‘no kink shaming’ I think they must not have spoken english very well and that they meant to say .. no Klink.. that’s a shame! A klink is a cogwheel pokémon that is a steel type.. so it would be immune to poison moves like toxic. So I guess that kinda makes sense but not really. Pikachu Panties

I like Pikachu but this Pikachu underwear seems a bit unpractical. There’s like ears attached to it and I dont get why you’d want that on your underwear. It seems like a really weird way to cosplay Pikachu , going out in your underwear. It’s made by a japanese girl I think who promises on her website that if I am in love while I buy these I will have sleepless nights. So somehow these panties have the power to bestow insomnia, but only when you are in love. I guess it could be neat if you are still in school and have to study all night for a test or something.. and kids in school these days are like always in love but still it confuses me and seems extremely situational. The Pika ears have a really soft inner lining though so does the panty itself so apparently it is quite comfy. I just don’t get why you want a Pikachu right there.. if a other person sees what’s underneath they’ll usually be shocked anyway.

Uncle Hulks Pokémon Spandex Suits

I like cosplaying and lot of people like it with me. There a lot of pokémon Kigurumis which is like weeaboo for onesie. It’s nice to wear but on a convention you don’t really stand out in one of those. A nice man named Uncle Hulk must have thought the same. So he began crafting all sorts of suits. Unfortunately for Uncle Hulk I do not think these work out that well… they are kinda creepy and weird looking. It kinda looks like a character from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure poached a pokémon than wore their skin as a suit. If a pokémon ever would try to enter a Pokéleague looking like that they would be dragged off for X Attack abuse. The lucario one also looks kinda cross eyed. They would fail a doping test harder than Lance Armstrong would.. which is quite bad. So even though Uncle Hulk means well I think unless you want to scare someone so hard that their soul exits their body these bodysuits don’t measure up.

Slowpoke Tail Plushie

W-W-Why? Why would they do this? It’s a plushie of a severed pokémon part which you can buy for about $15 dollars. You can see the blood and the bone still being there. While I know that slowpoke tail as a delicacy and item in the pokémon world it seems kinda weird to make a plushie of it. You can’t eat it after all. I don’t think many people would be happy with a severed arm plushie.. so why a severed tail Plushie? It seems rather horrifying. In Pokémon Gold and Silver we discover that Team Rocket has taken over the slowpoke well and is cutting of the tails to sell them off at huge prices so it is a quest line. The item is even depicted with an icon that looks like it in the later games. Yet a plushie is usually collected because it is cute. I do not really think the concept of this tail is cute.. nor would I feel any need to hug a severed tail.. and I am me! I’d hug my bags of garbage to say goodbye to one of my beloved mugs that fell or I’d hug a sponge because I imagined it alive while cleaning the house. Still a severed tail is not going to happen for me.. even if I feel bad for the tail now that I say it. There is also a keychain variant/lucky charm for t and oddly enough that one I kinda get… but an actual plushie is kinda spooky. The item is sold on Etsy by a shop named SewMeARiver if you are interested. It’s a lot soften nicer and cheaper than those other stick things at least, even if its a severed limb plushie!

Pink-Poke-News Week 31

While this post is going online, I am getting ready to let my Pokémon pen and paper roleplaying group hunt for some shinies in Kalos. So should there be any breaking news. It will be in the next one. That being said. This week was a sloooooow news week for Pokémon. Slower than a Shuckle. These news flashes are all somewhat lackluster and very region specific. Given my followers are literally spread all across the world it means we are going to have a bit creative. Luckily at Pink-Poké-News our catchphrase is ‘the news….but way less objective’ So that being said…. *imagine a nice news theme again please*

Top Story: Pinkie breaks 25 followers
Good day little monsters, reporter Pinkie Cherryblossom here with today’s top story.
With a grant twelve days to spare Pinkie’s Pokemon has now grown with over 25 followers. With about 40 to 60 views per day, this means the site has now become stable enough to move forward to a paid plan. This will lead to some amazing new features in the new future. What can the followers expect? Pinkie, unable to speak directly to me, mostly because I am her and not psychotic enough today to interview myself, has issued a statement on the matter. ‘First of all we will get some minor designs. Of course the Pokéball theme and general layout will remain the same. However the banner as well as the background when viewed at pc will get a small overhaul. Some minor elements in posts might be changed as well, if we can figure out the tools. Expect some changes to be held in some categories. Mon-days for example will most likely change to Professor Pinkie’s Pokédex. While Theory Thursday will be replaced by Detective Pinkie’s Casefiles. In the latter will we not only be able to discuss pokémon theories but also rumors and analytic pieces. Categories will no longer strictly be bound to a day. While my aim is to still follow the old schedule, this allows more liberties to create content. Categories will be based on several Pinkie Persona’s. Going into content a bit more specific , you can expect more of the same with just a dash of added flavour by the several personas. I also hope to add some interaction with followers, how I will do it will remain a surprise for now. Expect a lot of updates , alongside your expected content in the very near future. With that said it’s time to set a new goal of 50 followers. Having no insight in how long it would take to grow from here we will just say, we hope to see some progress towards this goal by Pinkie’s birthday , being November 17th. It’s time for Pinkie’s Pokémon to evolve!

Plushies on the news!
The fact that these even make the news show how little news there has been in the Pokéfront. Sure I could tell you how the United States lowered the minimum points to participate in the world championship, I could tell Canada and Taiwan can play Pokemon Masters and that five star trainer good trainer drop-rates seem low and crystal are expensive as ‘playing together’ bell. (I wonder why i censor myself this much) but eh! I said all I could say about it in a single line of text. Now Plushies I can talk about! Pokémon Center USA, here we go again with the blipping regional POOchyena, has announced a few new plushies coming in their lineup. I will consider this news because usually when the usa center gets it, it isn’t as impossible obtain for others either, at least after a while. Why am I highlighting these? Well I find the quality of Meltan and Melmetal a bit off. The nut they have for their head doesn’t look defined enough for me and Melmetal looks a bit off.

That doesn’t mean they can’t or should be loved, I don’t want to hurt their feelings or make them sad (this genuinely is a concern for me .. I legitimately imagine them being saddened by my words, and feel guilty because of it.) but I feel it would have been better if these were more like the Steelix plush. Steel types plushies is a bit weird anyhow.. even though they of course deserve hugs as well. The second one I want to highlight is this Mareep

It’s a cute Mareep..but what makes it newsworthy? The fact that it’s a $500 dollar plushie!! That’s right, this Mareep can give you a lot of love but it will also cost you a lot of money! Why so much cash is needed for little thing? Well thats because it’s huuuuge! Sixty centimeters high (24 inches) and about over a meter long (44 inches) Mareep is basically a 1:1 scale model of the monster, without the risk of electrocution when you hug it. This one makes me double sad though! Not only am I about $700 dollars short of obtaining it my apartment is way too small to display a full sized sheep as well.

Unified Minds launched

Believe it or not, there was some actual news! Pokémon Go released some new shadow Pokémon, but in the eyes of this reporter that is not news because those are the laziest of lazy design. Just red eyes and black and purple flames. They suck! The Team Rocket Battles are extremely cruel! Today I had to take down 3 8200CP Shadow Snorlax using a team of 3 mons in the low 3000’s. Having failed, this news reporter had to conclude that this update truly sucks. It marginalises it’s news value, as this is only for the elite. I still managed to inform you all though! Speaking of updates, there has been one this week i really like. Namely for the TCG, that is short for trading card game for those who might wonder. This new cardset is amazing though. Like the last two sets Tean Up and Unbroken Bonds this set is all about the so called Team Up cards. Pokémon Cards that feature two pokémon. Their mechanics usually involve having a surplus of energy for improved effects. Unlike the last set however, being Unbroken Bonds, pull-rates seem to be favorable. The set features plenty of new cards of most types. Fairy-types and fighting types however have a weak presence in this set, so if you run a brown or pink deck this might not be the set for you.
Card Hunters should be on the lookout for the secret rare Cherish Ball, Full Art Misty’s and of course all the team-up ultra rare cards. Unified Minds is named thusly because of the presence of Mew and Mewtwo Team-Up. Their ability allows them to use the attacks of any EX or GX card on your bench or graveyard, making the unified minds name most fitting. The reporter , running an X&Y series brown deck as well as a desire to build a pink deck has little use for this set, yet can not help but be fascinated with some amazing card art in the set. She will probably end up buying at least a few packs to hunt for the Alternative (not Full) Art Raichu and Alolan Raichu card, because that is just so insanely adorably cute!

Let’s Go Sword and Shield Goodness
Though these are currently just circulating around in the United States or other countries available for the reporter, the Switch is finally getting some love as well.
First of all throughout several countries in Europe, including Germany and France, have begun distributing Giovanni’s Mewtwo as a special event Pokémon. It has all it’s stats maxed out knowing the moves Amnesia, Teleport, Recover and Psychic. Neat to have but I would have preferred a certain pink Pokémon that now costs about 40 bucks to add to the game. My Mewtwo is all candied up already because I really wanted to defeat that darn master trainer after all. We also finally got some insight in the benefits of buying a Pokémon Sword and Shield dual set, you know the bundle that cost exactly how much the two games cost separately! If you get it at a Pokémon center you get a keychain of each of the three starters. A nice way to sweeten the pot a little but now the reporter has a much worse pick to make. Sobble is already the starter I selected..but know I have to pick which of the other ones will be my first keychain…in order words which one do I have to leave behind? Perhaps we can get the third one as a plush! Zacian and Zamazenta will also get a little love in the form of their design decorating a new Switch Lite. You know that Switch that you can’t actually switch and is just a handheld. Though the design is beautiful , the reporter still questions the design choices about this device. I get just playing it handheld, but without the removable controllers, you can’t multiplayer, you can’t ever hook it up to your tv and you can’t mario party! That seems a steep price considering how much money you actually save. Maybe they are nice for a collector though! Still a neat goodie!

My Pokéstuff Wishlist

Happy weekend my little monsters! Today is saturday again, which means we can talk just about anything. Since I try to highlight just about everything about the franchise, this time we we will take a look at some delicious goodies. Stuff I’d yell ‘Shut up and take my money’ about if I had any. However with my bank account being lower than a Sunkerns base stat total for now I can only dream. I do however feel it would be nice to share that dream with you all. Given that I do not have affiliate partners to link to, all these goodies will be shared without purchase links. Pokemon Posters

Recently I’ve had some major struggles with my mental health, my house was decorated in a way to reflect the person people wanted me to be. Neutral cool colours, somewhat generic arts and the likes. However that is not me, I want my house to be colourful, bubbly and full of pokémon. A good and easy way to bring more pokémon into my life is through the use of posters. Like the Vaporwave Porygon poster I shared above, it looks absolutely stunning, it features my favorite colour and honours the age I am from. I can see a lot of myself in this poster, like being the oddball that kinda lives in a world of her own. It’s quirk it’s retro and a total eyecatcher! I WANT IT! Pokémon posters have some of the coolest designs you see in posters out there. Where many anime or game posters tend to be either cover art, screengrabs or the likes, many of the pokémon poster push those boundaries and speak, either by playing with colour or some other form of creativity, a great deal of them just step it up a nodge. The steel/metal poster shared below for example. It just pops to me, their outline being so much more defined than the actual pokémon, reflects how we all know them, and the neonesque outline really reflects the power that’s inside. A great piece to liven up any room!

An Alolan Vulpix Plush
I am a big plush addict, I love them so much, all my seven unicorn pluches have names I address them by when I speak to them. Most my plushies are fair prizes, cause I am pretty good at crane games and if you know what and when you do it, you can get nice stuff for little money. The only plushies I actually spend big money on is, well you guessed it Pokémon Plushies. Right now I own about 7 of them, sleeping bulbasaur and sylveon as official tomy pluches, as well as pichu , chibi jolteon and everyone’s favorite mascotte Pikachu. I also own two bootleg pikachu’s because I loved how awkward they looked. Mimkiyu and Alolan Vulpix would be next on my wishlist, but since I own so many bootleg pikachu’s already, the official one would make my cabinet look very dull. Alolan Vulpix would definitely spice up the cabinet.

Just look at how adorable it is, i’d squee every time i’d see it because alolan vulpix is just too precious. It’s variants all look quite nice and I have yet to see a really bad bootleg of it. Costing your from around €12,- Euro’s on websales it isn’t remarkably expensive to get either. The tomy version would , on european conventions cost you around €25, euros though. I still prefer to buy something like these at conventions in general just to get a scope of all angles and how the material feels, but at these prices I will start considering buying them online. This little baby also has two variants which I really like, my absolute favorite one being the vulpix in the great ball.

It makes for a great presentation piece, those big eyes just peering into your soul, with a hint of melancholy just makes you want to care for it.. and squee. Hey if i’d put it in the cabinet near my bed, the neighbours at least hear some squees of joins from that area, they might even start to think I am normal. Pokémon Master Trainer: The Board Game
Let’s step away from the ornamental and huggables for a bit. It’s time to address the most expensive and rare item on my wishlist.
Pokémon Masters is a classic board game where four trainers travel all across Kanto in order to capture the strongest team of pokémon and face the elite four. First one to become the champ , wins the game. The game features all the original 150 pokémon in a wonderfully broken and backstabby journey, that is a lot more fun for us grownups then it was when we were kids. If you ever felt Mario Party was a friendship wrecker you have never played Master Trainer. Stealing each others Pokémon or helping you lose against the elite four has never been more fun. If you like messing with your friends over a perfectly balanced and streamlined game like me, this game can be a world of fun. Unfortunately the original, set in Kanto sells for some ridiculous prices online from in between €80 and €350 for a complete set in at least passable qualities. There are version of Jotho (and Hoehn as well I believe) that are much cheaper, however they have been streamlined in terms of RNG and game breaking items, but where is the fun in that. Though truthfully if I ever see one of those cheaply I would probably still pick them up.

The Jigglypuff LED Light

As I can’t go to long with wishing for something pink it is time we brought up this little guy.
I have only recently figured out about it’s existence encountering it at dutch animecon in Rotterdam in the middle of June. However a quick price search resulted in me finding out it was fairly overpriced. Marketed there for about € 35 or even 40 euros, it was about €14 to €20 euros more expensive than you’d need to pay for it. So I had to let it slip my grasp. It’s a fairly common item and it’s not that hard to see why. It’s friggin cute, sure the eyes look a bit painted on but it’s a lamp,you won’t notice it that much when it’s on. Even if you do… who can say no to that face! The little puffball.. ‘yes you are a good little light! Yes you are!’ Sorry I can really get carried away fangirling over items like these. Off all the items on my list this will most likely be the first to purchase , after all when it’s out there nice and glowy I am sure it will give ,anyone who adopts this little fellow, a good night’s sleep.

The Pikachu alarm clock
Having made a nice bridge we have come to the last item of this post, given that I still have a folder filled with items, somewhere in the future there will be a follow up.
When Jigglypuff sends us asleep we need someone to jolt us awake. That task of course comes down to Pikachu. This item flew onto my radar when I encountered it at a discount store, available to me for only seven euro it raised my suspicions, Unfortunately those proved correct having one ear of the Pikachu missing. I could not look by that fault and my crafting level is too low to mend such things creatively. Having only a tiny display is good for me, because I am a panic peeker, when I can’t sleep I stare at the clock and worry about all the sleep I am losing, which..is a lot. A clock like this will help me to relax a little bit more.
The imagery of a pokémon sleeping is nice and Pikachu can emit a night dim little nightlight if you so chose. The clock comes in bulbasaur and squirtle variations as well, but those tend to be quite a bit more expensive. Pikachu ‘clock’s in’ (heh i made a pun) at €25,- while the starter bros are closer to €40 euros , squirtle costing just a few bucks more than the best starter. Just don’t toss the pokéball in your dreams, you’ll be late.

Next time we will look at some more amazing plushies and some figurines, maybe even a mug or two! Though most people claim that pokemon do not exist, we can still fill our houses with them, and stuff about them. That makes them real enough already for me.
