Today’s story is something I saw over the internet and it piqued my interest very very much. It’s the story of the Lost Anime Saki Sanobashi or also known as Go For a Punch. It’s a mysterious urban legend of an old 80’s or early 90’s anime OVA that might have existed. It was first brought up in a 4chan paranormal board in 2015. The person describes the anime they have seen on the deep web and how it was traumatizing to them. The title of the video was called Go For a Punch, or so that’s what they remembered the title being. The name Saki Sanobashi comes from a comment that was a guess to the name but not its true name, but for some reason it just stuck to it.
So what is this anime OVA about that made it scar this person. Well let me tell you. It supposedly was about nine girls who were locked inside of a bathroom and they couldn’t get out. They have a philosophical talk about not getting out and after losing hope they begin killing themselves. Clawing their throats out, one girl helps another girl drown herself, and one bangs her head against the floor and it busts open. They said it was highly graphic. And one thing that stood out to me was that they mentioned one of the girls had a white Hime Haircut. As someone who loves the hime hair style of course this piqued my interest. The anime was only like 30 minutes. And apparently it had no music but some ambient sounds to it. And it had an 80’s or early 90’s artstyle.
There are a few things about this that have everyone including me thinking. Did this really exist or is this some internet bullshit story to get famous or to start a rumor. If it is that route, then I will be very very pissed and very sad. But this has a very high chance of being real because this was the era of overly violent OVA’s such as Violence Jack, Genocyber, Devilman, ect ect. So this could have existed. Also this could be an amateur work that was sadly lost to time and the deep web. No one knows and hopefully one day it will pop up.
I know this isn’t a short story as you all know me for but I will be doing some fun new blog posts besides stories so I can expand.
