The Paradise Weekly Gazette 8 (11th to 17th Januari)

My dearest little lights, another week came and went!  While the blog still is quieter than it used to be this week, there has been a bit of an increase since last week so we are well on our way of establishing myself as a moth!  Big things loom on the horizon as I have been trying and very much failing so far to make a live 2d model of myself!  I might really need to hire someone for that!  Or get a lot better at making a model!  So far I haven’t even been able to really make shapes though! Anyway let’s check what happened last week!

Pinkie’s Posts

This week I tried to bring a bit more diversity , and it resulted in some nice interactions!  I never expected to find a fan of Princess Peachie’s  YouTube Channel here but I did! That was pretty amazing! The reactor has been following me for a while but we haven’t interacted that much so that was a definite win!  I also had a nice amount of reactions on my “Gadgets/Toys” blog!  So all in all I am a happy moth!  So let’s put everything in a row in case you missed it! I am still building supplies of content to make blogging a bit easier, I have a lot of stuff done already, like 5 other episodes of my Moemon Nuzlocke and four more Final Fantasy VI Rom Hack posts. They won’t all come out next week though but it offers me so much security! I am having a lot of fun making those posts! I am really doing what I want to do! I haven’t been in the mood to watch lots of anime recently, but I have continued watching Cowboy Bebop so a post on that will come out next week for sure! I might do another Zombie Land Saga episode as well! Slowly picking that up after my burnout!  I have made some random topic content again, as I would play “Never Have I Ever” on some random website I found, and I will keep a promise to a Patron and turn them into a Pokémon!  I am also telling you about another of my Favourite YouTube series.. this one has to do with cards!  So yay! Content surplus!  I only have to write the YouTube one still!

Camp Coconut Updates

The Coconuts have been nice and quiet! They have been cleaning up the island after the whole Mario Kart Race we had going on last week!  The Woo Woo Fishy Coconut actually won that race and got a nice little trophy handed to it by King Coconut himself! They said it was the most beautiful day in their Coconut lives, which isn’t that surprising as they haven’t existed for too long!   This little Coconut , a patron to the island,  has since taken a bit of an ego! Fish and Dragon Koi’s are left everywhere for Sunny to clean up! It uses it to tell stories about great catches and always brings up the race results! The Island Guests seem to be loving the little drupe’s tales though!

Pinkie Away From Paradise

So I decided to rename this passage because Lockdown has been continued here!  It’s dangerous to go outside.. stay in!  Since I do have weaker lungs then most I have been quite reclusive last week! That pretty much means I have been glued to my keyboard. Aside from blogging we had a bit of an expository D&D  and this monday we should have the story arc climax, I prepped a lot of stuff for that this week! I’ve also purchased Face Rig and some other software to help pursue my VTuber aspirations, currently looking into video editing software that is laptop friendly and not too pricey.. just to get me started and so I can dabble.   Mallow gave me a great tip. Since I have a weak voice I probably need to look into text to speech!  In between blogs and games I experiment with that kind of stuff!

I spend a fair bit of my time watching movies!  I eat around 8:30 PM right now as a movie is on TV! Thus I have been watching a few movies! I watched my first ever Godfather movie , being Godfather 3… I.. .did not like it very much. I also watched Lethal Weapon 3 and 4, I liked those fine enough!  The fourth one had some issues with it’s story being a bit forced though!  I loved watching Stargate and Demolition Man. The absolute worst movie I saw was the “horror”  movie called Mother!  It is just strange for strange sake and there isn’t any rhyme or reason to it! Arceus what a slog! I kept hoping it would become good!  I am planning to get a shower bath thingy so I can relax my muscles a bit more!  I’ve been shopping for a sweet deal but haven’t ordered it yet! It’s sold out at many places and I really want a pink one! 

I have also been watching a bunch of VTuber things and some rewatching Princess Peachie’s princess in Japan series, mostly while doing my Nuzlocke! (I play that without sound..which can give me a bit of trouble).  That may have resulted in an unneeded death but at least I was hella entertained while I did this. I am not a big fan of how the songs of Gen III sound. The Pokémon Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire movie is to trumpetty! It sounds harsh and I don’t really enjoy it! I also use speed up a fair bit to make battles go faster which also ruins the music! So all the more reason to use speed up! Well at least until I become a Vtuber and can use those slow animations to read and interact with chat in some way shape or form!  Not a lot going on socially for me last week as I have been a bit anxious here and there, but everything is A-Okay now!

Posts that Impressed Pinkie



Hotpot-San is a person I do not visit enough! She’s a bit out of my league in terms of depths quite often and has seen so many things I haven’t so mostly  she leaves me scratching her head. It doesn’t help that she isn’t on WordPress but on something of her own design!  However sometimes I do see her promote a post and I am immediately amazed. The reaction of “casuals” towards deeper anime is a thing… are they wrong?!  Are they close minded? Decide for yourself and join the discussion! 

I want to watch more genuinely romantic non lewd Yuri! I want to watch more Idol Girl shows..  I can either dream about finding a nice girlfriend or dream about becoming an idol! But what if I could do both at the same time?!  With the newest Love Live spin off show I might be able to do the same. Space Whales made me put this anime on my list of anime I will want to watch…. I will forget I will forget for sure.. but maybe if I remember that there was this one show I wrote about wanting to see I can just browse back in my Paradise Weekly posts! If I don’t forget that as well… I really should have become an Elephant Kaijuman.  My memory is great when it comes to dialogue and useless stuff.. but names go through me like a meal through a skeleton!

Iridium Eyes reviews a lot of anime that isn’t exactly on brand for this moth! Even Hikaru no Go which I picked up isn’t really my “brand” I do like it a lot.. but it isn’t exactly my brand of anime!  One of these anime that never was on brand for me was Ghost in the Shell, I watched it after the Scar-Jo version and honestly… Nah the anime is still better, but I would not rewatch any time soon. Curtis points out some of the flaws of this beloved anime, while still talking about it very lovingly and I think that is a very good thing!  We need to be able to see nuances and the flaws in our favourites just as much as we need to see the good in movies like The Room and Dragonbleeeeergh Evolu*vomiting Moth noises* … nope can’t say anything nice about that one.. regardless. Curtis made a great write up about a classic!

Scott talks about the meaning of giving Anime numbered rankings, and how they are all subjective, I actually went and put a lengthy discussion answer on this , but subjects like these really fascinate me!  I like these! I totally agree with what he says but I also think there is another side to this! So if you want to join this discussion click on the gundam  head and give his post a visit.. based on how many likes that post has gotten , most of you already have though!

The Paradise Weekly Gazette 7 (4th to 10th Januari)

Greeting little lights of mine, my first full week as a Kaijuman has passed.  A new(ish) style , a lot of staring into lamps, much gaming fun and some anime later! How did it go?!  Well ……Pretty terrible! Huh?! Really?! Yep, I had one of my worst weeks yet! But ..do you wanna know a secret?!  This week has been one of the most fun I had with creating content yet! So yay for that! So will things change next week? Maybe a bit.. but I am having fun!  So Maybe not!

Pinkie’s Posts

This week I have been starting Let’s Play content , and so far I have clearly not found an audience for it! I have been delighted to make content like that in this way though! Just me with a few games I like going deep and playing to my heart’s content! It has been a blessing!  I can have felt so much motivation to write again, so much motivation to game again, both boost each other and I am having so much fun! Now I know a lot of you aren’t actually into video games so it does make sense.. but I’ve only gained 5 likes on two of my Let’s Play posts.. Don’t get me wrong though I am not upset about it… I kind of like it weirdly.  Well that’s wrong.. but I feel like I am good enough having fun, and sharing me having fun.. rather than getting lots of likes.  Yet in case you missed it here are my posts of this week. Next week I will continue chasing my VTuber/VBlogger dream, so there will be a lot of content in the same style! There might be more variation as I plan to bring more variety in my content. For example I plan to do a “series” of posts that highlight some of my favourite content creator series on YouTube.. as it is my dream to one day branch out to it. I am also having ideas for a new “What If” like series.  Yet rather than making episodic content I will look at how a scenario would evolve on a grander scale. Think of stuff like “How would the remainder of Tengen Toppa go if Simon was killed instead of Kamina” I’ll probably start with a rework of “What if Ash was a girl”  covering the entire Kanto region story. I am not sure if it will be posted, as for now my focus is on building material and having fun , and my let’s plays do give me a lot of fun.. but expect content like that soon. Also expect a lot more Moemon.  I will also go shop for weird and fun Japanese items again!  This time inspired by my new found Mothiness and being a Kaijuman I hope it will be funny!

Camp Coconut Updates

The staff was in awe with my transformation to write some posts this week! Sunny was very intrigued and has been talking to the water surface a lot! Indigo has been spending time dimming the lamps.. to keep me from getting distracted and I made them undo it! I need my lamps.. and Kuro has been trying not to simp over me.. so I tasked them with watching a lot of VTuber content so they can advise me properly and give them someone else to simp on!

The coconuts have been pretty active!The  Buddy Coconut has been helping me pay for my domain whose payment was due this month!  So we can keep Paradise up for another whole year!  Meanwhile the Woo Woo Fishy Coconut and the  Hero King Coconut came out to play with the guests while I was cocooning!  I really appreciate them for stepping up and providing so much entertainment to the guests. Though they cheat with Limbo!  They are so small no one can beat them!

Woo Woo Fishy Coconut tried to organise a kart race.. kind of like Mario Kart. However there aren’t that many tiny motors for them to build karts out of. The Warrior King Coconut tried to quest for such motors .. but he found a cool looking skull and spend time trying to put it on the pommel of his sword.. something so tiny.. it must have been a tiny bird or maybe a fish skull or something.. Either way since the Warrior King doesn’t know anything about crafting gear like that.. it did not work out! Thank you everyone who has supported me this week or this month!

Pinkie Away from Keyboard

The 50% Real girl part of me is in heavy isolation, 1 February I have a super important hospital meeting and I can’t miss out on that.. I can’t be sick.. it’s one of these academic research types of hospitals that can improve my quality of life 100 fold ..but if I have to cancel the appointment on account of some sniffles I’ll probably have to postpone until the covid situation clears here. Since everything is under heavy lockdown here.. there isn’t much else to do then isolate either.  So I have been mostly playing games and on occasion cooking a little bit! I might host an online convention in the netherlands.. based on a user created content idea.  We are doing some market research on it now.  My friend is more positive on this idea than I am as I see a lot of technical limitations but who knows!

Kaijuman me has mostly been searching for budget friendly options to turn myself into a 2d model so I can do streaming content or YouTube content, I can pretty much draw my own emotions by now just the states between those emotions are complex and I can’t grasp rigging properly! I have also made a stream layout already and it is featured in the Zombie Land Saga review of this week! I even hit a lot of easter eggs in them to some of you guys out there!  I have enough coin on my blog paypal to afford a rigged model on Fiverr.. but I am afraid I might be delivered something of poor quality. If any of you have a good idea where to find a good rigger, let me know!  Other than that , to protect my real life self I have mostly been staying indoors and looking at lamps. Toy Stores are closed so I can’t even build lego cities for me to walk over and destroy! I tried that once and a lego got stuck under my foot! .. I would rather be hit by one of Godzilla’s Atomic Breath attacks than a Lego in my foot

I used to be a big Star Wars fan, and that love is still kind of there! It is hidden underneath a lot of negativity towards Disney though, to me that company has shown so much arrogance and that it is utterly unable to empathise with it’s audience that it just keeps doing what it does. With a few hits here and there! I do still love the Mandalorian.. but I always need to wait until a season finale has passed so I can binge shows because I do not want to support them for too long. I haven’t seen the Mandalorian season 2 yet, because I am waiting for WandaVision to have aired so I can binge both shows in one month! Wooderon’s series on the Clone Wars is a great proxy to get that good feeling, without supporting a company I feel is definitely on the Dark Side. 

While I do consume significantly less anime than most of you, I do love it still! I however am one that is fairly oblivious to the technical , and back end aspect of it.. the history of it all! Luckily Mari over at Starting Life from Zero has got me covered with this amazing post.. that has a lot of subsequent installments spanning across the week! A definite must read for any anime fan. Mari has great taste in anime as well. Although the latest recommendation from Marie, in Utena isn’t resonating with me too much. Five episodes in and I feel nothing,  I’ll try to struggle my way through but Utena might be a drop for me.  Perhaps I will keep watching it but just don’t review it on an episode basis who knows!  I totally did not recommend her post as a peace offering! (But I hope it helps) 

Celestial Sparkles is a great and creative blogger, who I have come to see as my Kohai of sorts!  I saw Cele took some inspiration from my visuals and I felt so proud! I really hope to see her do well, there is something really heartfelt about her! For her 2021 goal she hopes to achieve 50 followers and if you aren’t a follower I think you should really check out what she is about! She really loves Mecha anime, she has a very similar style in blog-tags to yours truly and she is doing her twelve days of anime challenge soon so for any anime fan there that doesn’t follow her yet. As well as all STAFF and everyone interested in one of the sweetest members in the community! Do follow this blog! Just check out how sweet she is!

For the last part I will post something everyone will already know most likely!  But the section is called Posts That Impressed Pinkie, not “Bloggers I’d like to Highlight’ .. because trust me.. this next one needs no shoutout from me! She is the biggest and one the most talked about Bloggers in the anime community! I am talking of course about the return of Karandi James of 100 Word Anime! Our Champion has returned! I was super excited about that! Great to see some good news in 2021! Welcome back Karandi , I look forward to see your blogs once more!

The Paradise Weekly Gazette 6: 14 to 20 December

Dear Island Guests, Today’s cocktail is contained in a slightly smaller container than the previous weeks! Due to roadworks in front of my street , I had a lot of construction noise keeping me from focussing on my writing properly or following a movie.  So I missed two posting slots! Luckily Kuro stepped in this week so in the end we are only one cocktail short for this grande desert. However since the Netherlands went into full lockdown as well.. there isn’t  that much Pinkie AFK either! So let’s take a look at the events that took place this week.

The Animinis

This week wasn’t as great for anime as the week before! Cowboy Bebop was a bit of a letdown for me this week and I am not fully sure how I feel about Utena yet.  However Natsume offered a very strong episode and Samurai Flamenco ended on a high note for me!  The latter being my favourite view!  That ending came so out of left field! It was great!

STAFF Posts

The staff is very busy this week! Not only did Kuro post a teaser for their very own novel , Sunny and  Indigo have also started working on their drafts. Sunny’s post was even finished.. right after I planned out the rest of the week content so tomorrow you will see a brand new Sunny story! This week however we are treated to Kuro’s amazing teaser for a big story they are working on!  Let me know what you think about it in the comments!

Pinkie’s Other Post

Due to a lot of street noise, the mental stress of the lockdown and mostly the negative reception of the people trying to do what is the best for everyone, I did not get that much done this week!  A second reason is.. I  stumbled on a few Steampunk games I just can’t get myself through. I would not call it bad.. But no matter how hard I try, Dishonored doesn’t do anything for me. A Gadget post did not work out because I could not find any gadgets that are steampunky enough that I did not cover yet in either my Zombie survival plan or that just do not fit steampunk! Eeek! So what DID I do!

I played a video game that feels very much like a D&D .. to a fault even! But it sure is Steampunk!

Camp Coconut Updates

Big news on the camp Coconut front! Let’s start with the adventures of our little guys!  The Shy coconut went shopping and came home with a new skirt inspired by Alice in Wonderland. It doesn’t fit perfectly yet because it is rather hard to dress up a coconut in a skirt!  Still it fits so much better than just those little horns!   The Buddy Coconut came out and helped the island get ready for christmas. Bringing a lot of ribbon so we can wrap all the presents!  So that is very much appreciated. Thank you very much for the help Buddy Coconut.

King Coconut saw that his subject was working hard to get the island ready for Christmas and decided to chime in. Bring us some nice sets of wrapping paper.  It is quite funny to see King Coconut lug those  rolls of paper along! His crown nearly fell off his head and the trew a little tantrum. After sipping some coffee though he calmed a bit down and remembered he wanted to look cool and edgy! ..which resulted in us having a lot of black wrapping paper! Thank you very much for the help King Coconut!

Now Camp Coconut has evolved! No longer do we only rely on Kofi for donations but we also have a Patreon now! By supporting this you can get an additional.. or a first of course Coconut on three separate levels. Villagers, who are much like the Kofi Coconuts and get the same benefits only.. “monthly”.. Adventurer Coconuts, who will be invited ot a brand new discord server filled with games and influence on this blog.. and Hero Coconuts who can participate in the upcoming (starting in January)  Paradise D&D where we play Dungeon and Dragons 5th Edition.. with a twist! Everyone is A Coconut and items, monsters and encounters will all be based on your small statue! Think Honey I shrunk the kids.. in Paradise..the roleplay.. but with coconuts instead of kids!  Of course there are a few more benefits but you can check those out .. by clicking on the picture below!  We already have one Hero Coconut which also happens to be King Coconut! It’s almost Christmas time and with everything going in lockdown here I am not getting any gifts this year! We planned gifts but since everyone went crazy and  the post office basically is backed up so hard, there is no mail ordering gifts as well! So instead me and mom decided to spoil ourselves in January.. save your money for gifts, just be there for each other and christmas and spoil ourselves when the world becomes a bit less crazy.  So this year I am looking at gift for myself. Heather from Geeking By  shows a lot of pins that are quite amazing!  Maybe I will buy one of these! Which one do you think would fit me the best?!

I am always trying to make original content. New Blog tags, like the Kore Wa Watashi Award which is really making its way around right now! I thought it died a while ago! So whenever another content creator does something similar I am all for it. Annie created a delightfully fun new blog tag focussed around Christmas!   How would she spend her time with anime characters?! So adorable!  I squeeed a bit! She also did one for K-pop but that could have used more cute anime animals eating cookies! I know nothing about the genre though so perhaps people eating cookies is cute as well?

Annie Wins a Contest

Mallow is like the Good Guy of Anime Blogging, along with Raist who has sadly become absent again, let’s hope he recovers soon and has a great christmas. Mallow however is the more hidden good guy.. the type that picks you up and advises you a good shoe-store so you don’t trip on those pesky heels anymore. Raist is more the type that picks you up and compliments you on how funny that fall was or how graceful you hit the deck!  Anyway Mallow saw a post he liked about the top 10 anime openings and endings of 2020 and he decided to do it himself.. shortened to a top 4. While I do not share his taste in music I think, I am absolutely and pleasantly surprised by his idea to turn it into a blog tag!  Just so he can help other people to write!  I really commend him for finding a way to make something simple as a top 4 into a good guy, community engagement thing! We need more people like this in the world!

How I view Mallow’s Post

Watching anime in a weekly format instead of binging the heck out of things has given me a lot more of appreciation for the finer details. I still don’t like watching seasonal anime because then I get stuck in the hype or hate and it taints my personal experience. However older the series, I am having so much fun watching them in a weekly format! ..Not all.. but a lot of anime are just so much more impactful if episodes can breathe a bit!  Biblyonyan is much more eloquent about this than I am though so check  that amazing post out!

Pinkie Away from Keyboard

So this leaves me in a bit of a pickle! We went into full lockdown since Monday so there isn’t too much to do so my away from keyboard news isn’t actually away from Keyboard. It’s stuff I did besides blogging or stuff I haven’t blogged about. So with that being said! I reached a milestone! Back when I started as Pinkie’s Pokemon, I encountered a blog called Pokémon Blog.  WordPress biggest Pokémon blog.. but all it did was news reports.. it has several bloggers but they all just copy paste news  reports, there is no community interactions and overall they are very much what I do not want to be! I always set my goal to one day surpass them. That day was this week! I surpassed my “rival”   and so the end of that arc has been completed. Of  course I did not do that by just blogging about Pokémon.. but hey I chose a  different route! In a way it was THE goal  I needed to achieve before I could give this blog up! I am not quitting my blog.. but i feel I beat my final boss!  Time for a sequel!

Other than that I have been keeping indoors to the extreme! If we are in Lockdown I will go in lockdown I will try to minimise my contact with others as much as I can! Sometimes I will need to see people .. just because I am human but I try to limit it as much as I possibly can without losing my sanity! As a result I have been a bit more active in the streaming community. Following my favourite Pokétuber Patterrz. I have also been watching DeeBeeGeek’s Breath of the Wild playthrough!  They are both very fun and nice people! Their chats are medium sized, mostly Patterrz,  really responds well to chat!  It is nice to get this form of human interaction. I have also softcore become fascinated with V-tubers. I am not watching their streams.. but I am watching a lot of clips!

However… I had a bit of an annoying week! They are fixing the street up right in front of my new building so I have a lot lot LOT of construction noises which is driving me slightly nutty! I do not have to pay for massage seats because my house is shaking all day anyway! It left me a bit anxious and withdrawn.. keeping my windows closed so I don’t at least see that metal monstrosity swinging close by window all day! Not fun!  Yet we do what we gotta do! Next week will be nice for sure!

For the coming week we got a Sunny post coming up on the blog! A brand new story about an aquatic adventure! I will also post my review of Wild Wild West, one of the campiest steampunky movies ever. Then I want to do a smallish post for christmas. That being said I might choose not to post anything , including Animini’s on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, perhaps even leading into boxing day depending if the roads are slippery or not and I will need to stay at my moms on Christmas day.  It really depends.  Reasons is that in combination with the traffic issue and people en masse being away or with family with christmas I doubt content would be missed that much. I might be mistaken but I kind of want to avoid me tripping over content that isn’t read anyway and I want to be able to have a nice dinner with my  mom and with a friend on christmas eve without constantly getting alerts of likes and  reactions. I am not going to be able to interact anyway so maybe I am just not doing anything! We will see!

That being said I wish everyone some happy holidays even if we might not get what we have come to expect by now.. and this year Christmas might be a bit bleak, all that matters is that we are safe, healthy and have a merry day… regardless if  that includes festivities, anime, games or whatever else.. I’ll leave up to you! I am not saying having a killer christmas.. I am just saying I hope your days will be merry and bright! 

The Paradise Weekly Gazette 5: 7 December To 13 December

We are about half way through Steampunk month, with lots of fun things happening to me on a personal level as well! There were quite a few awesome blogs out there as well so let’s just give in! And of course I hope you all had a great week my dear Island Guests.

With only one downer of an episode the week of anime was very , very good! My least favourite view was Slime.. and had the next episode been as poor as the last two ones,  I would have dropped the series right before the end.. but luckily in next weeks review we can expect quite a bit more positivity!  My favourite watch this week was Cowboy Bebop, while there were two other star fruits this week.. one was questionable… but the evaluation will remain standing. The other was briljant as well so all in all! It was amazing! Want to find out which ones? Check out what I watched!

Camp Coconut Updates

The trip to Amsterdam prevented me from taking a  proper look at Patreon instead of Kofi, so no progress has been made there. The Coconuts have been rather quiet and are probably hibernating for a bit until after christmas which is fine and perfectly understandable! I would also want to have a little spending money left for Christmas gifts!  For those wanting to answer the question, do Coconuts wear masks?! No! They don’t have lungs so they can’t catch the disease!  Coconuts for those who don’t know are my Kofi supporters.. they get a pokémonish style coconut that has a bit of lore.. and each time they donate .. a little event happens to them in these new updates! This is a new feature though so some Coconuts might not even know yet!

It is time to talk about the works of others again! I try to find some inspiring blogs but also good gossip.. Did you know this blogger returned from absence! Did you know this blogger is doing a big project?! Community stuff as well! Of course if you have a post that you really want me to recommend in this post feel free to reach out! After all I want to stimulate community interaction!

Celestial Sparkles Returned to blogging and I like her style a lot! I think starting today.. she will make 12 little posts of anime up untill the 25th.. I might be wrong about the starting date! Yet it is something to really look forward to!  After all she might be my favourite pony!

Mari is doing incredible essays on some of the story arcs surrounding characters in Fire Emblems Three houses!  While I try to just glance over them and avoid spoilers I can not be helped and I am drawn in by her choice of characters. This post was no exception!  There is some really amazing art in this post for you to see as well so if you are a fire emblem fan click on the picture!

Fred is always a great blogger! Yet when Fred talks about rockets and spaceship things, his posts become  quite magical! I normally imagine a wise  sage version  of Grey Fullbuster when he talks. .but when he talks about  rockets.. I imagine a young boy, sitting in front of those 60’s style pastel tinted tube tv’s!  Eating his cereal naked, while stars of joy twinkle in his eyes! I imagine not much would have changed!  Just  his size! And no I don’t mean this disrespectful or anything! I admire that being himself trait.. so I love how I see a “pure” part of him in these posts . He also knows a lot about that stuff so to offer you something that is not just gaming and anime related.. have some tech!

I am not a big manga reader, usually I browse Alyssa’s website mostly for the cute cover art and to read her stories about new ideas and I smile.. but sometimes a cover pops up and I think I need to read that.. usually if covers are 30% pink it will do that! After reading her review I am more eager to actually read this one! Okay.. it technically was posted on Sunday last week.. but I write these ahead of time so Sunday posts always get missed!

Pinkie Away From Keyboard

So real life has been a bit slow for me, except of course for my trip to Amsterdam. So yeah the rest of the week I have been mostly doing me and resting, some cleaning, putting up some christmas decorations, self reflection and a lot of long showers .. and plenty of migraines. So that also means I did not get a lot of blogging done unfortunately. I experienced a lack of inspiration for the really creative stuff, so  I have mostly been trying to pick up some games again. I started to play Temtem, a bit again.. though only very minimally. I dropped Dishonored as I just could not get into the game and currently I am trying a really hard Steampunk RPG game..I can’t leave the starting area yet.

Now for Amsterdam, I will spare you all the med talk!  A friend of mine tagged along and we booked a hotel close to the hospital. A test run for later.. if I need to go there more and have early appointments.. I am trying out some cheaper hotels near and this one was pretty nice.  It had an all you can eat restaurant, with a  cocktail bar (though with restricted serving times due to covid banning alcohol after 8 pm). We ate at the restaurant for the first time in like 4 months or so .. so it was nice to experience and be spoiled a bit. However the hotel was a bit understaffed so there was a lot of stress on the kitchen! That showed on the plate.  The food was nice.. but there was so much delay.. and some things were cold or out of stock and so on!   Shame.. .but all in all it was a nice experience still! Breakfast was included as well and was quite cute! Normally you have a breakfast buffet.. but it isn’t covid proof so now we just had lots of stuff brought to our table and more of us being spoiled! I really liked that!

So the day afterwards we went to do some fun stuff in Amsterdam.. to combine the bitter and the sweet a bit. Since my friend is a huge horror buff we went to the Dungeon of Amsterdam. It is a museum based on the formula of the tower of London.. it tells the horror stories of Amsterdam’s history..  like seeing ghost stories from our trading seafaring days, visiting bars from Amsterdam’s victorian age, where you get tricked into servitude. Or stand on trial for interactive witch courts. It’s an interactive theater museum experience and that it is pretty darn fun! Then my friend wanted  to go for a bit of shopping, so we visited a few pop culture stores. I almost got a Hello Kitty Face Mask.. but I imagined it would be really annoying to have that bow in front of my eye!  So I then went to a Manga store and got really tempted to  buy some Love Live Mystery bag.. but none had big items so I passed!  I don’t need 23 buttons!  On my way I got in a small fight , (not really physical)  with a hooker! I stopped in front of her window to look at my map and she got out and began pushing me aside and I panicked and slapped her hand away. She then began being verbal.. and I already said sorry for blocking her from sight.. when she got needlessly verbal I got annoyed and poked back!  That would have looked cuter with a Hello Kitty mask!

Plans

Content Stress!

So Steampunk week is a bit shaky for the next week. I tried to make a Pokémon post but I did not have a strong idea, so I am more than likely skipping the Pokémon post this week! Luckily I have all the anime content to fall back on! I might post it later that week!  But expect my non anime content to be a bit more near the end of next week! Two projects fell through for me so I need a bit more content experience! I wanted to do Dishonor but the game doesn’t do anything for me! I don’t find it bad.. I am kind of entertained by it.. but not really.  I just have nothing to tell about it or no drive to really play it! That will not result in an interesting bit of text! So let’s hope I can make a new character in Arcanum I can progress with!

The Paradise Weekly Gazette 4: 30 November to 6 December

The first month of Steampunk Month has already come and went by! While the animini’s did not change, the look of our website outside the reader certainly did! We had an okay week of Anime this week, with a really strong Digimon episode, a super charming Natsume and a new show which I .. kinda liked in the form of Revolutionary Girl Utena. Not exactly new I know.. but a lot of you seem to really enjoy me watching classics and I lack a lot of them and I am having a lot of fun with them! Two shows I really like have entered “drop” quality for me though so let’s hope they pick up again soon! Luckily both are nearly finished as well!

My favourite watch actually was Digimon, though Hikaru no Go came super close! I just liked the voice of Fanbeemon so much,  and the colours and everything in Digimon that it really struck a chord that I really needed this week! My least favourite view is probably Slime.. though Samurai Flamenco really annoyed me as well.. the last one mostly hurts because they had a really good ending already and this is kind of wrecking it!

Camp Coconut Updates

No Kofi donations this week for me so no stories to tell about the Coconuts either.. they might be hibernating and saving their money for christmas.. I have been playing around with the idea of creating a Patreon.. with a few fun tiers but I need better reward for lurking people who don’t like to socialise and Pokémon Battle.  So this is a work in progress. I might ask an audience with king Coconut to see what would be good tiers! Hail the Wise King Coconut!

You can sprout a Coconut based on you by supporting our Kofi once.. but supporting it regularly your Coconut will get into several adventures that will be mentioned here..and your Coconut might start to look a bit fancier.. though I still need to update the Shy Coconut’s art.. Now that we move from November into December, a lot of posts are summaries of the past month.. I will not share those.. I want you to explore these blogs for yourself. I just wish to wet your appetites.

I always like to include one activating shout out! Where you can participate in something.. or where a blogger is being celebrated. This week Amelia is starting her A Girl and Her Anime Awards and while I have seen virtually nothing on her list to vote for and was to lazy to figure out if Digimon was a Summer of Fall Anime.. so I backed out of voting. I am an old lady after all I watch past stuff! But for all you seasonal watchers out there! Vote on her amazing list so we can find the best anime out there!  If I actually send you there .. vote for me for most influential blogger! That we all win…but mostly me! .. Uhm I mean Amelia!

Lyn really really enjoyed the Promised Neverland and he pretty much sold me on it as well! I already heard good things.. but this made me want to watch it more.. In fact I think I will replace Samurai Flamenco with it on my watch list whenever I am done with that. So I will probably pick this up soon! I do not  like his post .. as in press the button. That often but that is because I usually read his reviews after he tweets them out.. on my phone .. and I am not logged in on WordPress there! I am waaaay behind stuff so I don’t read episode summaries of shows I want to see.. but seeing people enjoy shows I don’t like.. also gives me pleasure!  Make sure to check out his reviews if you haven’t already!

Ospreyshire is such a good guy! He reviews movies and anime that tend to fly a bit under the radar so you might not have heard of him , I know my friends on the Scott-Jon Spencer front follow him but he always deserves more. I am a bit of a different kind of blogger but there is so much I can find in his posts I can respect.. but who better to explain what he is all about then the man himself. In this post he describes why he writes and it is amazing!

My blogging friend Joy is one of the most unique personalities you’ll ever see. She’s kind of like .. part Vulcan , part genius inventor, and a whole lot of programmer. Her ramblings on life are unique , spirited and playful! I do not consider myself a dumb person but when I read her quote Dante, when I see her tell her stories in her own way.. I feel dwarfed..and slightly attracted. I might be a Sapio-Romantic?  Who knows! Joy discusses the heavy team of our own mortality and its implications.. but she does so in a very Joy way. The topic is something I am  quite familiar with but her visions and her revelations at the end make for an interesting read for anyone. So do visit Joy .. and follow her blog.. she will be the president one day.. and remember a vote for Joy is a vote for love! So I assume a Like for Joy is like liking love as well!

Pinkie Away from Keyboard

I have had my ups and downs this week and the down is mostly been in my energy levels. I do have this a lot but the weather shifting to being super cold is flooring me and making my energy levels next to non existent. That also means I have done next to no exciting stuff! I am playing Dishonored for a Steampunk Review later this month.. and I am having an .. okay time with that so far. Not exactly my game .. but the setting is a lot of fun! I have also been feeling the call to return to Pokémon Shield again, do some shiny hunting and complete the dlc!  But that will probably be something for a bit later. I really want to get my shiny Wooloo though! It will be fun to let Whippy the Allcreamie get a Giantamax form as well.   Just so many games to play.

Other than that I have had a good talk with my psych.. he did a good job but it did not help my fatigue. I had a good but heavy talk and that took me out of wednesday and a migraine crippled me a bit on thursday which reduced my ability to work ahead. Mind you working ahead does mean writing four posts per day so that might be asking a bit much on days like those but yes unless I find lots of energy today I might not be able to make that guest post for Irina’s blog I tried to make this week! Oh well I will find a way to make everything work.

On Saturday the 5th of December the Dutch and the Belgian people celebrate a tradition called Sinterklaas. It’s about a Saint Nick that comes bearing gifts! The modern western Santa is a mix between our Sinterklaas and the British Father Christmas. Though both outdate the tradition of Santa. Saint Nicolas will stuff your shoes with a present if you have been good.. or a bunch of twigs for corporal punishment if you were bad.. though of course concerned moms abolished those twigs called “de roe” a few years ago. Nowadays more of the tradition is being scrutinized.. for just enough reasons but the country is going made and being divided. So to celebrate the tradition this year I am going to visit my mom, we exchange gifts and share a meal together.  No large gifts we will do that around christmas.. but just a nice little gesture. I will go out to do so right after scheduling this post so I can’t tell you what my gift just yet .. but if I am fit enough .. I might update this..probably not though.

Next wednesday I am going to Amsterdam for two days, spend some time in a hotel and do some important stuff while I am there as well, health stuff, but also take my time and enjoy a change of setting for a night. I might not be able to travel back so just making  so booked a place to stay just in case and will make the next day an enjoyable one. We are going to eat some Tapas at the hotel, with some drinks at the hotel bar.. a friend is coming along to drive me and for support. And we will go to the Vondelpark or zoo depending the next day to relax a bit! Depending on how crowded the city is!

 Plans

Depending on my energy levels I might skip a daytime post or two so I can relieve my workload a bit  and work ahead a bit more.. if I am good with energy however, I do plan to bring you my interpretation of a Pokémon Steampunk Game. I want to talk about a Steampunk anime movie, and watch another Steampunk movie as well! I also managed to beat the super hard game Steel Empire for Americans.. but Empire of Steel for us Europeans so you can expect a review for that to drop soon as well!


Regardless of my energy levels the animini’s will at least keep coming! So that is seven posts of anime already! … As long as I don’t get murdered in Amsterdam at least! Who knows! Regardless on what happens I plan to make the next week a great one! And I hope you will do so to! Let me know how your week has been in the comments and onto the next! 2021 is drawing closer!

Konichi-week’s up again!  Bing Bong! So it is time to recapture our week of blogging.  I got an amazing article written about me… and I got the wish of every anime character ever.. Senpai Noticed me.. so after this week alone I can already die happy! It’s also been a week of mixed anime results and the one where I answered by besties Summers Questions.. so let’s put it all in a summary and see how I did personally shall we! The week started off pretty shitty! While the episode was not very bad.. an episode of Digimon got under my skin and messed with my brain. Feeling.. very down for some reason I did not know what to do.. given that we would get yet another fairly depressing episode to follow it and a plain bad episode my first hour of anime really rubbed me wrong. However the four episodes that came after became truly amazing as I had to say goodbye to one of my now all time favourite anime ever.

The Staff is taking a bit of a break still, but Kuro has told me they are working on a new bit so expect that soon! Sunny was trying to breed a Starfish with a Goldfish so we could get a Golden-Starfish-fish which of course in cartoon form would be yellow! Indigo is struggling playing Ace Combat 7 so might not land for a good while? I am not sure!  But I did a lot of fun stuff this week!

Camp Coconut Updates


It’s not the right season for coconuts! I have a lot of Coconut Milk saved from all the love they have gotten me earlier and thanks to King Coconut, The Shy Coconut and fairly recently the Buddy Coconut I have had a very nice birthday in terms of gifts.  The  Playful Coconut gifted me two games for my birthday, so thank you Holy Mailman, Ospreyshire,  MikeKelly666 and the Multifaceted Ocelot, you all contributed to me having a great  gaming week! I think the Coconuts might be holding a winter sleep though so I am not sure if they will ever reply!

So .. I  planned to find some very niche and new bloggers here this week to show off to you.. there were plenty of interesting reads.  A post on the Later Levels Twitter Inspired me.. how do we make people new in the community feel welcome.  Then I clicked on her blog and saw Kim tackle this challenge.. Pick five games that you would play if you can only play those five for a year. I really like these types of scenario things so it quickly became one of my favourites posts this week. The images are the links! If I could not find an image.. or wanted to have some fun .. I dabbled a bit!

Now these in the first two installments of the Gazette I have picked up at least one article that is more or less..  something that works as an announcement within the community! Like  Ospreyshire writing his 400th post for Iridium Eye and Irina looking for Guest Bloggers. So when your Blogging Bestie (.. or since  recently, ONE of MY blogging besties… I now have Three.. four cause I kinda count Geek Girl Joy as well)   announces she is changing how her content works.. you share! Summer is going to bring us some Woo-Woo. And No I don’t refer to the Woohoo cocktail after a few drinks.. no more mystical stuff! That will be SUPER interesting. You all should really give her blog a follow so you don’t miss out!  She will also talk a lot about some anime/cartoons she is watching so geek content a plenty.

I guess I have Five Blogging Besties because Raistlin.. Also would count as one.. Though I kind of feel he is a bestie in the way a good dog is your bestie.. Not that I think he is a dog.. but he is just sweet and kind to everyone..Only he gives the headpats instead of the other way around.. Inverse Dog Raistlin  must make him God Raistlin.. Anyway.. As a 34 year old I do love the 80’s and 90’s.. You might wonder “But if you’re from 1986, you can’t remember the 80’s” .. and that is kinda true… but back in the 90’s a lot of 80’s stuff of america first aired on tv here.. OR went in reruns because it was cheap and it would help sell toys!  And about those toys Raistlin made a blog! I do remember my childhood toys.. I destroyed so many of them! …. So this shot of Nostalgia was one of the greatest euphoria trips I got this week. The new bloggers did not make me feel this great. I might have tweaked the image with an iversed dog god Raistlin! I hope that doesn’t insult you Raisty! I truely love how supportive you are to us all!

So I only had one slot available.. as I tend to do these in fours.. Why four? I originally wanted to do 7.. and tie them to the Dragon Balls.. or something.. but then I wanted a few custom images and I have to make 7 each week.. alongside all the other stuff.. I’ll need to do a LOT!
Distracted again! .. Kind of like Senpai.. who started to work on the Blog Tag The Kore Wa Watashi Award. In this Blog Tag you tell us about yourself.. through anime.. but Senpai got distracted and stuck… and then she made the award even better and more beautiful. She made it about someone else.. and that person was me.. she made the award explaining how she sees me.. through anime characters and she was pretty darn close… do I not like being called a mom!  I might be old.. but I don’t want children!  I do like to talk in the community though!  I also worry about all your safety… so she wasn’t that wrong with the word…
But yes SENPAI NOTICED ME! … AND I HAVE PROOF! HOW CAN I NOT PUT IN MY POST TOP FOUR! *SQUEEEEEEE* She noticed me! Senpai Noticed me!…..

On a personal front not a whole lot of interesting things happen to me, yet at the same time they did!  I had my online tabletop on monday and it was fun to see the group encounter their new ordeal.. or course I had to force them to hurry up because everyone was stalling.. and we are SO behind schedule already!  So when I say.. you Literally have two options, you attack or you let the bad guy win.. but take no damage yourself.. just to others around you.. they tried to find the hidden third path.. as DM I kept insisting.. “You have two options.. these are the rules for your next encounter.. or you can abandon that encounter”.. they were like.. What if we do this instead. “No that has been explained.. that would not work” .. It’s like a dm saying there is a fork in the path one path goes past a lake the other through the dark woods.. Instead of choosing a path the group ended up checking all the bushes for a secret path.  No matter how many perception checks told them there were only two paths.. frustrating but fun.

Obviously.. we build a third road and by helping a random town we hope they will help us.. in case we might need bridges.

Tuesday I had a big day.. I got a phone call I had been expecting for a LONG time.. I can not explain too much detail.. a few of you may know what it is about as I shared this with a few of you..  but I finally began a long awaited Medical project in February.. the first investigation will start in February first. It will lead into a series of treatments that (hopefully)  will improve my quality of life by a lot. It will be an ordeal that will take a while.. but we are heading in the right direction.. and perhaps I then can finally look at the mirror with some confidence that I will make it through the day. 

Wednesday and Thursday I had a bit of anxiety.. but I went out for a few walks. On Friday my Neighbors apartment kept beeping..  No idea what it was but it kind of annoyed me!  You know like someone is playing Operation in their apartment in dead silence but all i could hear is that buzzer sound. I also paid my rent, got myself some new flowers that smell super good and nearly cut  three fingers off.. Luckily I do this stuff a lot so my reactions came in time and by letting me sink through my own legs.. I managed to fall myself out of harm’s way.. I just mopped so I got a nice whiff of citrus scent to boot! Yesterday my normie friends came over which was kinda awkward but fun nonetheless.  I nearly fed them bad tomatoes.. well they were past their date but looked fine so I figured they are fine.. but I decided to eat them myself later.. they were not fine.. Doesn’t matter though I had a fun day.. though one of the girls kept bringing up super depressing topics.. so I drank a bit to much wine to keep the spirits up.. both literally and figuratively.

Plans

We are moving into December on Tuesday so that means we will start Steam Punk Month. For the first time ever I will play Dishonored.. but since I probably will not have that game finished by the end of the week I will most likely start with a rave about my favourite Final Fantasy Game.. one that is very Steam Punk.. Final Fantasy VI. I also play to play a sky shooty game on Sega Genesis and either a Diablo Clone or a Point and Click Adventure depending on how the mood strikes me. 

I will watch Laputa Castle in the Sky for the first time.. as well as Steam Boy the anime and movie department.. but since so many of you like me to watch bad movies as well.. I will watch .. hilariously terrible.. Wild Wild West again as well. City of Ember also is on my interest list of movies as well.

There will be stories, there will be gadgets.. andI will probably need to stretch the concept of steampunk to fit it all into this month! But heck! I surely will have great fun! I also fully intend to write a guest article for Irinia’s blog next week.. but first.. outside Steam Punk Month there is a special Pokémon Post I have to make..  since someone was super kind to me I have a favor to repay.. so unless I am REALLY hungover today.. which Saturday Evening Pinkie really doubts..  Tomorrow you will see Irina Reimagined as A Pokémon.. and Imagined as A Pokémon Trainer! Of course these are all plans so who knows what might change!

Once again  Flip Flappers was my favourite view of the week, but Natsume Book of Shadows came very close!  Digimon was very exciting as well and I will remember  the dog episode of Cowboy Bebop for a good while to come!  Slime.. was okay.. but has been in a bit of a rut for me.    Hikaru no Go was a miss for me this week. I don’t expect anime to be good all the time and there was a lot to set up.. so it’s forgivable.. but it really was the weaker view of the week!  Next week will be the finale for Flip Flappers! So I would like some suggestions for a new Magical Girl show in the comments! Yes I am replacing the magical girl show with a magical girl show! 

Pinkie’s Other Posts

No Staff posts this week still, so we move into my other content straight away. This week was my Birthday so I had a lot of cleaning, shopping and socialising to do which made the other posts this wek just a bit shorter!  Still I had some great fun!

I watched a few fish stream and play Pokémon! And am even following their next Pokémon adventure as we speak!

I interviewed myself for a sort of Birthday Q&A .. but I actually asked Job Interview questions instead of Q&A/Magazine Interview Questions

I rewatched Detective Pikachu and saw a REALLY good video game movie! That is even fun if you do not like Pokémon! 

I probably made myself a lot less popular by listing my favourite consoles and explaining why I don’t like some of the classics as much!

Camp Coconut Updates

The home of the coconuts has been fairly quite! I think! Due to my laptop crashing and having a big  driver conflict I had to reset it to factory settings. As a result I was logged out everywhere and I forgot a lot of my passwords.  So I have been searching to get those back! Luckily the Playful Coconut was there to provide me some help!  I also got a nice help offer from the Shy Coconut again. So the little guys have been supporting me in more ways than one. The newest project I started with the Coconuts is to be able to build a PC and get a desk for it! As I now have the space to do so!

I haven’t been put on the blogosphere as much!   I used to have all sorts of folders with bloggers to visit but that is gone now that my laptop is reset and I have mostly been focussing on getting things back in order.  I have noticed a few posts though! Click on the image to visit them

Senpai’s Senpai is having summer feelings and wrote about Free. While there is a lot of Christmas stuff starting to happen it is nice to see a post that has such summery feelings!

Some guy with a letter for a name wrote a very big and clever masterpiece.  It’s a very interesting read that admittedly makes me feel a bit  dwarfed. I could never blog from that angle. Luckily other people do it for me.. well not FOR me.. but they do it in my stead… well not in MY stead.. they do it.. so there is varried content! Check it out if you want some level in your post!

Voyager, who is behind the amazing Bullet Toon YouTube videos has released a chapter of their web novel Extra/Normal! The title card already is amazing! I will admit I will still have to read it.. but I love their insights on YouTube and I love writing fiction myself.. so this really impressed me! I just need to find some time to finish reading it! Which I will probably do after this weekend! Untill then I will already send as much people their way as I can! It will be amazing! I did read the post I am linking to by the way so it’s fair game!

Pinkie Away From Keyboard

With my Birthday being this week my week has been all about having family over! Dad gave me a Panini Maker, Mom bought me a Dolce Gusto and and my sister gave me carpeting for on my stairs and she made food to serve at our little gathering.  I have been giving a lot of love to the oddish flower pot my friends gave me last week and yesterday I got a new plushie friend which I named Heather “The Horn” Heterochromeow!   Tonight a friend is coming over and he arranged for some kind of birthday dinner because he really wanted a sort of event.  So he arranged something of a surprise delivery dinner as my birthday gift.

Other than that there was the Laptop crash. It all started on wednessday evening when my keyboard suddenly shut down.. the laptop one. I figured I might just hit a wrong button and that by closing it the next day it would be solved. A loud beep startle me the next day and it said , keyboard not found! Well that sucks! So I thought I would find a way to fix it when plugging in a usb keyboard.  That resulted in me getting a blue screen of death every other minute. I could not scan for viruses, I could not not acces my system settings to acces a recovery point as every minute I got a blue screen of death. Because the keyboard did not work I could not even boot the laptop into safe mode!  So after managing to trigger Auto Recovery.. I had to reset to factory defaults.. all my software was gone.. and with it a lot of issues. All my blogging systems and auto log-in things where gone. So that was annoying!

I was playing Deponia for a review .. and that save game was gone now as well but luckily the Multifacted Ocelot gifted me Tales of Beseria for my Birthday.. which cheered me up quite a bit!  I have been playing Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair on Switch .. and deleted Govenor of Poker 3 after I did not like it anymore!     Yooka is something I am in the final stages of and I am having a blast with it! Tales of Beseria is SUPER good so far!  Even though I just  cleared the first “dungeon” .  I am hooked! So besides having some bad luck .. and lot’s of people over I am also having a lot of Cyberfun.

Plans

I am planning a few new posts for next week! I played a very unique Pokémon Rom Hack,  I plan to review Yooka Laylee and want to talk to you about an experience I recently had in anime!    Of course you’ll need to take everything with a grain of salt because I do not know if the Laptop Issue will not come back!  Tuesdays and Fridays and I will try to keep free for Staff Blogs from now on.. this will give me more time on Mondays to focus on my online tabletops and on Thursdays to do the physical tabletops post Covid again!

In December Paradise will have another theme month and today the poll to determine what it is will go up on Twitter. The options for the first theme month will not include a christmas theme. After a bit of tweaking I have come with four possible themes.

Egypt month: Pyramids, Mummies and ancient mysteries will await you if you vote for this one!
Steam Punk Month:  Let’s shift christmas into high gear… and ornamental gear as well by reviewing and playing some interesting Steam Punk products
Beyond Paradise Month: A month in which we would push beyond our comfort  zone. Reviewing movies I would not normally review, playing games I would classify as not for me. Let’s embrace what lies out there into the unknown.. or the things we would not give a chance at first shot.
Space month: Let’s check how Paradise would be IN SPACE! Sci-Fi shows, Spacey Games  and Anime set on  other planets will be played, watched and enjoyed in SPACE MONTH!

The Paradise Weekly Gazette 1: 9 to 15 November

Konichi-what’s up Slappers and Island Guests. It is sunday so usually we would feature the Saturday Anime Adventure Post here! But I tore that to shreds and started something new! My favourite watch this week was Flip Flappers but overall we had a very strong anime lineup this week. Digimon took a bit of a dip for me this episode and Slime left me unimpressed due to relying too much on boob jokes and a non progressive episode.  Overall I had a great week! Cowboy Bebop offered the biggest surprise for me, but it also made me snack the most!

Camp Coconut Updates

The Coconuts have been keeping rather quiet this week! King Coconut the Holy Mailman is doing a fine job keeping the others in line. Yet the Shy Coconut  made a serious attempt at the throne a few weeks ago before these updates started so that had to be said.  We also have gained the bookworm Coconut fairly recently! So there is that.  The Shy Coconut is due for a costume update but I need to find a set up in my new house that lands itself to using Photoshop a bit better.   It will follow soon though!

Nabe talked about Angelic Layer! Another classic I have never seen! Yet a Hotpot of all people made me want to take a peek at it!

Raist alongside Mallow are our resident good guys! The bearded one of the two however REALLY seems to dig violence at lot as well and I love it! He has a great taste in action movies! In movies in general! There is something deliciously popcorny about his reviews and this one is no exception.

Pinkie Away From Keyboard

In my real life things have been looking up for me a lot. I have settled into my new place in comfort now and am happy to report that I am good as done with tasks in the house. After I write this I will go out and look for some Christmas ornaments and little knick knacks to decorate my house with a bit further. I am so happy I finally have space, and there are no stabbings, murders  or assaults happening in my flat.  There is not even any drug trafficking in the parking lot! Woot!  This has come to an advantage of my bed rest. I am happier in my bed again… which results weirdly in me feeling that I need to catch up with lots of sleep. 
In my old apartment I never felt as relaxed.. so awake was awake.. here I just crawl back in again and sleep for another hour! .. I am also having a lot of fun in my living room so it does help as well.. I stay up a whole lot longer.

This weekend I had some people coming over to visit my house and celebrate my birthday! It’s busy..because Covid prevents me from inviting big groups of people over.. yet all my friends and family also mentally need to see me a bit so there is a weird situation I am in now. Not to much people.. but all these people wanting to see me.. need some contact so it’s a bit of work to plan people in..but do it safely! Yet I am mostly pulling it off!  I try to combine it with something practical such as a friend helping me do bigger groceries, because I lack a car, a friend helping me do the electrics etc. I would need people over for that anyway.. so this way I do it once instead of twice.

My online text based tabletop returned this week and I was very happy about that, some people make way to many assumptions and get the group into trouble .. which can be annoying since they basically want to make sure they have a central role in the story.. while we are currently discovering the backstory of another character and confronting the bad behaviour of another. I tried to discourage it but this player needs to be in the spotlight a lot and tends to stall the plot a lot of complicate actions a lot to make use of their powers.. to a level that they would use it to open a door.. basically.  Which is kind of vexing!



I’ve been cooking a lot more.. in my new Kitchen.. I can do that! Which is another huge plus of my new location! I made some great spicy spaghetti this week .. and I almost set myself on fire. One burner is broken in my new house so I leaned over to hear if I could at least hear the gas coming out.. I forgot however I already  lit the burner in front of it since there was a dry pan on it… I smelled something bad and saw a flame in my hair.. Which I need to get fixed at the Salon at some point but for now I can just camouflage it by wearing my hair in a ponytail. I do love the fact that I can rummage around in the kitchen again.. but I also notice it does eat a bit away from my day! And I spend more on groceries! I feel healthier though as I get better food!

In being here I already had more contact with my neighbours than I had in six years in my old flat. Which is kinda weird.. I do feel totally socially awkward because of it though.. people actually wanting to talk… NANI?!  I am sure it will be alright though! Over all I am having a lot of fun at the new place.. my walks have made me become lost quite a few times.. *cough 60%*  I soon will know the entire environment though. 

Plans

So for the next week I might be a bit short on posts. Birthday stuff and all! I did a few posts already ahead of time.. but with my vacation. in setteling in.. most of my pre-worked stuff got eaten! I am playing Deponia and I do plan to finish it this week.

Other than that December will be a themed month! I am currently in the search for themes. I am just not getting anywhere.. not knowing if I want to go to Christmassy for the theme… that feels a bit cheap. I am currently playing with ideas of a Space theme, A Steam Punk Theme or a Pirate Theme. Of course all of you can suggest themes as well! Next week the Twitter of Paradise will have poll of topics! This week.. you can determine what kind of theme month we will see on Paradise! So don’t be a stranger and let your theme suggestion be known in the commens! Keep it broad.. I can’t really do a lit with Pink Loafs of Stale Bread as a theme!

Happy Halloween: Pinkie Closes off Halloween Month!

With the weekend coming up and the upcoming weekend I am once again busy moving so I guess this is a wrap up post for Halloween Month!  What have we seen, what have we done and what is next?! And of course this post is mostly to wish everyone who celebrates it a Happy Halloween! 

What has Pinkie done?!

Let’s begin with a little look at what we have done!  The past month everything I did was a bit in the theme of spookiness!  We watched weird Horror movies, we played a  bunch of scary games and Watched trough the first half of Yamishibai! I had one more movie and Season the anime planned but the fatigue of moving really got to me!  I just wanted to move into a big blanket and stare at the tv a bit for the past two weeks after I was done with all my tasks.  Forgive me!  Post-wise I have done a few interesting things this month and to some stuff you really reacted well! I will highlight a few! Note that I do not think these are the best! I do not prefer any of my posts over others, that would make other posts cry! I simply highlight a few posts based on my favourite “events”. Click on a cauldron to revisit a post you might have missed.

Halloween-month Started with a personal account of some ghost stories I experienced first hand! It got the most posts this month and had a nice number of audience participation! A really nice post to do and thanks everyone for the support!  Another Geeky Lifestyle tag post I really liked was this month’s gadget post. Still I am very happy with the love on the spooky stories post!



This month’s anime tag introduced me to the series Yami Shibai which had its ups and downs but the first season is something I can definitely recommend.

I only wrote one fiction this month which was Halloween in Paradise!  A small story set in the fictional universe of Paradise Island where the manager has a small horror adventure! It was great fun making images for that post! 

Video games I played plenty! I played some classics like Castlevania IV which is always a pleasure to playthrough! My favourite playthrough thought was Call of Cthulhu, Pinkie loves herself some cosmic horror! Plus a game based on a famous tabletop roleplaying game it was bound to sit well with me. 

Movie wise you voted for me to watch some weird movies and I really do think I delivered. Rubber, Hausu and Killer Condom all were quite bonkers but only one post features the entire movie for you to watch! Killer Condom is definitely the best weird horror movie I watched this month! 

Finally Pokémon! I did a fair bit of Pokémon this month but the post that got the best response by far was me designing my own Pokémon based on the Dark Universe film monsters.  I got so much comments on that post! It was truly amazing and it will definitely bring it back in the future!

 What has the Staff done?

Kuro wrote another zinger of a horror story about a village plagued by a very mysterious and powerful evil! If you haven’t checked it out you definitely should!

Sunny did a post about a very fun board game that is like a tavern brawl between D&D like characters! I read it and I certainly want the game after reading! So if you play board games you should super check this one out.

Indigo is sitting on a few big projects so in the upcoming months I am sure we can see a story about his O.C.  He also had some ideas of posting in the Warhammer universe! So that could be very cool as well!  He did some amazing prepwork and sometimes that is the most important work. Also he kept the resort pretty safe!

What have we seen?

I will be honest! This month I have been short on time so I have not visiit as many blogs as I would like! I tried a few routes which it took very well.. it seems to get a bit lost with the tiles in the middle.  There are a few things I would like to highlight though! Click on the pictures to link to the post!

First of all GeekGirlJoy finished a project this month that I am pretty sure I inspired her to do in my quest for the truest pink!  So I have been a muse and I inspired something that completely goes above my comprehension of coding but I have used it to find the analogue colour of my avatar and some design elements! Which resulted in a slight shift in colours. The pink on my site used to be #ff87ED and it changed to #ff89CD which is a lot closer to my avatar! Great job joy!  I am happy I could be a muse!

Scott from mechanical Anime reviews started this amazing project where he interviews content creators across the net using his reach to shout out there people and unify the community! That is pretty amazing and I really commend him for that! I have seen others do something similar but Scott REALLY makes it about the other content crreator and not so much about himself. An effort I can very much appreciate.

Of course Senpai made a great post as well.. but when does she not! For Halloween she discussed Urban Legends in Japan and while I was  to tired to comment something insightful when I read it it left a great impression on me!  If you haven’t checked it out you should!

Blogging Bestie Summer found a great place to watch old horror movies and in this Halloween month I think that is a pretty amazing discovery, love your classics! So yeah a great homage to movies that should get some tribute in this month!


Naja is a great writer and possibly an even better devourer of Otome games! As my most recent Bubble post I made already showed , monsters and be very sexy!  Now she makes a much better case of this then I ever could and it even includes Lesbian Vampires… I like those the best! … Now that sounds much lewder than it is..at least in my case. Great post to check out!

What is next!

So what can you expect in the coming month?! Well I will probably take a week’s vacation from blogging after this post goes live, to settle in in my new house a bit , explore the neighbourhood, show my friends the new place and get a bit of rest in my system. After that November I will return to the usual island content! Watch some movies, play some games watch some anime and what not! 

What most likely WILL change is the Saturday Morning Anime Adventure, those reviews I will probably spread across the week. Short write up reviews alongside the regular content!  Instead of the entire anime post on Sunday, I  instead will use the Sunday to recap the week!
It will include a personal life update, a summary of all my posts by genre, Staff posts highlighted and a shout out to al Kofi Supporters of the week . I will most likely also highlight some content of other blogs as well but I haven’t fully made up my mind yet on how to shape it. I think by doing the episodic content this way I put the pressure of content creation a bit for myself and I still get to let people get a nice summary post if that is the format they prefer.. they just need to click once or twice now.  Something very close to this post.. with less future stuff!

November will be a bit lighter and looser in content because besides my  moving ,there is also my birthday, plus a lot of social and bureaucratic stuff that needs to be done surrounding my move.  Within the restrictions of the current society of course! However starting in December I will introduce official theme months for the blog. This can be anything from Retro to Sci-Fi and from Horror (Like this month)  to “Pirates” .  Staff posts are exempt from the theme but as for me I discovered that writing in a theme , like last month has given me so much joy that I will do it on a regular basis.  Whether I will do it every other month, monthly or quarterly remains to be seen but it’s in the works!


Other than that I will see what time brings us and teaches us! For now I will enjoy settling in my new home and taking a short break! Maybe you don’t even notice  and content picks up again right after this weekend ( In which for sure I will have no content because I have to throw out the final stuff out of my old apartment then) I do think I will be gone for a week or so though but no promises!
