Pinkie’s Fantastic Five: Movie Themes

Hello Little Lights, it is time for another post! Mallow tagged me for something quite awesome! Thanks Mallow! Visit Mallow! He listed some of his favourite Movie Themes. A top  four!  However 4 is an unlucky number and I am unlucky already..so I decided to make it five!  I always feel a bit stressed when making a top 5 as it basically forces me to rank things against each other and maybe other movie themes would get sad! There are so many that are great! So instead of doing top 5, I decided to change this to Fantastic Five! A random grab of five things that are super awesome! Not ranked and maybe not even my favourite 5! Just five I want to talk to you about today!

Power Rangers The Movie (1995): Go Go Power Rangers

With a guitar Riff that immediately takes you back to the 90’s you know what is heading your way when you watch this movie!  Yet.. these first notes also surprise you.. where is that iconic sound.. of impending thunder and lighting, that guitar roll that is so linked to the show!
It follows soon!  In this day and age I think this is the best rendition of the theme because of those few opening notes!  Thus qualifying as a movie theme! As the series never had those first few Riffs!  I always wanted to be a Power Ranger, and to an extent I would still like to be! Not only is this one of THE best childhood themes out there.. it also also a theme of escapism to me! I’d be able to unwind with Power Rangers.. hoping that one day I might find the strength to stand up to my bullies! That I would morph into a more confident person that can stand up to them.. and that I did!  I never expected to grow up as a Pink Moth.. but at least I have a great idea of what my Zord would be!  “Mothra Pink Ranger Power”

Dragon Ball Super Broly: Blizzard

So a re-dub of a song that is about a movie.. that once again is a series! However this song really is unique to this movie! The music is so different from what you usually hear! It’s so unique and Megami’s textual interpretation shows how well she knows the source material!  I love how she wrote the song from Broly’s perspective. While I prefer subs in anime.. I really like dubbed music so I can understand the lyrics and while there is an orginal english version I have not found it as audible as Megami’s version! That doesn’t stop the music from this track to be pretty amazing though!  I really like it. Dragon Ball Super Broly is the most expensive movie I ever went to! By FAR! Not only did I pay top dollar to see it 4D.. which was amazing to have steam going off around you and your chair shaking at powerful punches, but I also travelled half the country to find a theater that ran a 4d version in Japanese. It was a great memory and the song to me reflects that.

If I have a favourite movie, it will probably be this one! Steven Spielberg did a great job of telling the tale of Frank Abignail Junior.  The casting was amazing, the atmosphere so fun and it is just an extraordinary tale! The main theme is unique and has this elusive quality!  Just when you think you get the melody it slightly shifts!  And that is exactly what this movie is about so when I first realised that I was like OH MY ARCEUS!  I love this! It might not be a thing I can bob my head to but I can flail it from right to left in a seizure like fashion as I do know this melody quite well by now!  It is just a very fascinating theme to me! A;also for some reason I really like movies featuring Tom Hanks and Airports! I am not sure why! I love the Terminal as well! But that one doesn’t have too much of an amazing song! It also misses the best knock knock joke ever!

Children of Dune: Summon the Worms

I am really messing this one up! Not only is this song from a Mini series rather than a movie, I also did not get it from said mini series. I actually know this song from another tv series where it was used as the title sequence. It was a dutch show called Peking Express, which basically is our translation for Orient Express. It was a show very similar to the great race and it involved people having to hitchhike from Moscow to Beijing. With some special challenges along the way. It was a great show with an even better opening. The drums in the song are timed with the beating of some sort of chinese tower at the end of the trip! Would your favourite couple make it to the finish line.. it got you pumped and hyped, and then I watched Children of Dune with a young James McAvoy …It was not what I had expected.
Dune.. to me .. is kinda boring! Not gonna lie! Luckily it will always have this amazing soundtrack! I know it has a lot of fans but it went way too political with me! I just wish my eyes were as blue as Leo Artreides! 

The Rock : Hummel gets the Rockets

Golly gosh I love this music Track! It would probably be my favourite Theme of all times. There just so much to unpack! So dynamic, so epic!  And once again, I fell in love with this not because of a movie but because of a tv series! In this case it was Expeditie Robinson. A show originally from Sweden that in America got adapted to Survivor. Sixteen people get dropped on an Island and have to survive and determine who is worthy to stay on the island. I loved this show for many many years, but at one point the scheming element got so out of hand that people could get extra votes and negative votes. At one point 8 people were left but 32 votes were cast, to kick the most deserving survivor off because he was too big of a threat. I don’t mind casting out a treat.. but the episode was so convoluted and sucky that I dropped the series after. Luckily the movie is still pretty good so if I want to hear the theme song I can still watch Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery break into Alcatraz to stop some sparkly ball missile treat!  That’s the worst kind of missile treat!

It’s Like That One Game! But With Anime Girls! Pinkie’s First Gameplay Video!

Hello Little Lights! It is one of these again! One of these Blog Posts where I promote my videos! As today my first gameplay Video Released! I am really trying to make YouTube work for me! What is Next?

So what will I do next? I think I will be uploading 3 or 4 series on my channel! The second I have already decided will be Pokémon.. Pokémon Sweet Version as a Start to be exact. I will be doing a Semi Nuzlocke with it…by which I mean, it will be a Nuzlocke but Pokésweets start with two lives, and each resurrection item I find I toss upon finding it but it can restore a lost life. Why do I do it like that? Mostly because I do not know the Flavour System , compared to the typing system! It will be fun!

Another series I consider uploading is Ducktales on NES ,but I feel that might be something that would be fun as a channel growth reward! Say if we hit 50 or 100 subscribers! So I will probably leave that one waiting for a bit! I feel like playing Dragon Quest IX could be a fun series! I never finished that game and making a video out of it might make me able to complete it! Playing trough a Tales of game is another option for that.

As a possible 4th extra series I am thinking about doing more of a “talk” video. Where I rank Pokémon, do Top 5 stuff or do some random other stuff such as answering questions, playing a weird browser game or just something that is fun as a one off video! You know a bit of a “see what sticks” kind of approach to content! That seems kind of fun! What would you like to see? Let me know and we will see if I can make a video about that as well! We can always try!

The Road to Year 2! What’s next for Pinkie’s Paradise? (Anniversary Day 6)

Hey Island Guests! Over the past few days celebrating this blog’s anniversary we have delved a lot into the past year of this blog! Yet I would also like to stand still on what is next! What about the future that is what today’s blog is about!

So let us begin with what is not changing! I really like the direction I am headed in as per May of this year! I found me, more than I ever did. A me that really enjoys to write what she writes and embraces her being different as a boon rather than something I have to polish out or something that costs me viewers.  In the past I told people how I felt I did not fully belong in “Camp Lita”  “Camp Jon” or heck not even fully in “Camp Irina” I felt accepted sure.. but always as a bit of a trader in the community.. a traveler passing through while also stopping in the other camps. A bit of a rogue that is to much of a gamer to be “just” an anime-blogger or to much of a weeb to “just” blog about games. I realised I in fact might be neither. I tell you about me.  Gamers are not selected on what’s trendy or whats hot , they are selected on what I ‘d like to experience! On what I would like  to play. The same goes for anime! I watch a random anime a month not because it’s cute for the blog but because I like that random element in my life. I tell you about my experiences with said random experience.
My life experiences just happen to include a lot of games and anime. So I am a bit of an odd duck! Luckily I like ducks! So now I’ll just quack to my own beat!

I decided to lean into me more rather than steer away from it for more views sake because this is what makes me happy! I can finally give that devil on my shoulder that constantly tells me people don’t like me a rest because I shifted perspective. Me as a rookie blogger dreamed about the ‘fame’ , what if this opens up doors for me, what is this leads me to find a complete community, is was a way for me to be remembered. I’ve always been fragile health wise and I have health issues that make my future look less certain than your average human being. I have no idea how long I can last and by leaving my mark here I would at least accomplish something.. so that fame got a bit of a false value.  As my blog began to grow, and it grew rapidly, so came delusions joining that desire. I was like Charlie from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory or at least I thought I was ..hoping for that golden Ticket in my candybar. That this would be my miracle. Yet I realised I wasn’t Charlie at all! I was just one of those other kids!  Not the ones that find a ticket.. no  one of those kids who bought 295  chocolate bars but never found my golden ticket! There might not even be one! Yet fairly recently I began to realise how much I like chocolate. I might still “Just” be at home, but seeing how that other thing ended for most.. this might just be as good!

Aside from wanting to be remembered, I also have a desire to be me… like the purest form of me and I realised i had been on a journey to fit in again but that made me unhappy in the past. I was at my happiest when I was me and this blog should and will reflect that.  Yes I will write weird stories in rhyme about an egg friend even though we are all mature sensible people here who see that’s nonsense. Yes I will write about movies nobody will watch  (currently watching all video game movies)  because I thought it would be a fun process. I will keep writing about Pokémon Fan Games even though most of my followers don’t care about pokémon that much. I played it and I want to share that experience! Plenty of the posts  I personally resonate with are some of the quirkier ones. I really loved the idea of The Totally Tomodachi Award I started somewhere  in June. Yet people really did not care for it. It was to weird of a tag but rather than be upset  at the poor reception, I saw it as .. I payed tribute to a few bloggers I loved and that’s what I set out out to do.  It’s fine I am doing me and you can do you. No obligations! I got confused that to belong we all had to do the same tags, we all had to constantly interact.. but no, WordPress is a much more subtle community that is about support and sharing. It’s about interacting despite our differences , It’s about having a safe haven where you can be yourself and that means we can support content even if we don’t like it persé. The internet warped that for me for a bit.. but now we got a course and Paradise will walk to the beat of it’s own drum!

So now that we have established what will be the same, we got a good idea about the direction I want to take! Year 1 was the year about trying to be a Pokémon Blog, A Game Blog or an Anime Blog.. I am not sure I am any, yet Paradise is also all. A geek blog is perhaps the best way to describe it, where geeks, both writing and reading can be themselves. It’s about doing what you want to do and finding happiness in things like games, anime or even writing and sharing that joy with the world.

In terms of content , at least on my end there will only be minimals changes because I am happy with what I am doing. Let’s go over my categories though and start with Pinkie’s fiction My What If Raditz Turned Good story will most like be shelved after we went through the Frieza Arc. My story has a nice ending point there as my tale is already very focussed on that story line. My little Isekai story will go on for a while though. It’s certainly not the most popular thing on my blog but I just have a ton of fun writing it. It’s fun ‘hiding’ OWLS or others in the story and building my own little mirror world. In terms of Pinkie’s fiction though I do expect a decrease in stuff like Pinkie Get’s anime Powers and increases in stories like Tamago Tomodachi. Little brainfart stories! The former requires a fair amount of research to do, I wont stop doing them but I will write them a bit.. whenever! If I happy to stumble on more info on a fandom and I like it.. i might make a power post on it. Pinkie’s Who Would Win will be sparse as well.. while the concept of non volatile confrontations between characters is fun it is very much centered around playing Non-Volatile games.. like board games or party video games.  I love doing those and I will probably continue to do those in the future but the problem is…. in Corona times I don’t actually play a lot of these types of games! So I have little to work with here! I am working on a solution though!

Movies will not change for a good while. I still have about 38 video game movies to go through before we move onto the next project. However I decided to include more real life experiences so whenever I actually go see a movie, which again still is rare now those might be posted between the video game movies with a maximum of one a week! Who knows I might just make more than 1 post per day..but that might be somewhat ambitious. It will continue as is with some flexibility! My game reviews I am still figuring out. I want to at least offer one Pokémon game per month, no matter if it is an official one or a a fan one. Other than that.. mostly a mix of horror, weird and retro games! I will try to keep them balanced..but hey if I want to play two horror games in a row that is what will appear. I also want to talk about other aspects of gaming every now and again.

Geeky Life-Style and Pokémon Topics will mostly stay the same, though I will share a few of my personal experiences with you as well! Next week wednesday you will get a report of my trip to the Zoo! Of course with a bit of a geeky twist. It’s easy to let our mindset be caught in a bit of a bad place, certainly in the current times but by sharing my fun activities with you I at least make sure that I can keep sharing my hearts concerns with you if needed..but balancing it out with some fun and positivity as well! The random topic generator might become more of a staple, though I might actually use Twitter and Kofi more in creating some of these posts as well. I want to dive a tiny bit deeper inside that rabbit hole! Randomness has a big importance to me and it will become a bit of an element on this blog. My typing top 5 will last for 6 more weeks and then we will move on to our next subject. Maybe if I am ambitious I will try to explore the entire Pokédex with you.. though not in a weekly format. I’d like to add some diversity, how I do not know yet.

On saturday I usually discuss anime now, or tell an anime story, post a single series review watch a  random anime etc. While I do like these posts they give me a lot of stress as it is by far the most difficult slot to come up with a topic for. The only thing I experience writers block with.. so instead I think Saturdays will be a complete random thing.. depending on whatever experience I have ready (though I am gonna keep in the random anime generator because I love doing that) I think it will still have a bias to anime but who knows. It will always be something off series though.. so never will there be a video game movie in there nor will there be a pokémon typing list.  It’s my wildcard that I try to make anime but I am going easier on myself to diverge! Stress reduction and all! It can be anything.. it most likely will be anime!

Pinkie’s Saturday Anime Adventure which releases on Sunday will continue to go on! I love doing this sooo much! With Hikaru no go going on for 65 episodes still  before I finish the first series I can tell I will still be doing it by the time of my next anniversary! For those who haven’t noticed.. for the past three installments i have been entering real life updates in there near the end as well  so you always have an idea where my head is at, since these posts are the only ones I do not write ahead of times those are up to date as well!

So do I plan to stay the same with only some content switches?! No! I am slowly beginning to look for co-writes for this blog. Like people who like to post something once a week or once every now and again but really do not want to keep up their own website!  A buddy or buddies or sorts. As long as people don’t start posting how dumb I am or opposite articles , which is my term for me writing stuff like “Oh My Arceus Tengen Toppa is so amazing”  and them writing “Oh My God Tengen Toppa is so friggin Lame” I am not a harsh blog-owner, but yeah I think that would be very neat.Work In progress though! In essence a long term project as well! I already had some people show interest so I am actually working on a recruitment message and details as you read this!

I might also do a blog tour, when I just joined Scott’s Space is the Place tour really impressed me and I thought.. that’s something I’d like to to one day. So one day I will. This again isn’t a short term project as I have no idea on it yet.. just aspirations.  I might also take up one of these random 30 days challenges somewhere along the line. It’s not like I’d need the content ideas , I might do them on top of my normal stuff! Above and beyond! Or I might do a Twitter version of these! Collabs are more in the work! One is being discussed slowly but it will get there!  Anxiety and that demon prevent me from asking people for collabs though..like I am sure that little demon would really hurt me and drive me mad if someone told me they did not have the time or did not want to do a collab at this time. I might just have to grow so big that people want to collab with me!  Wishes are there, aspirations are there.. but that little demon is also there. I plan to starve that little demon a bit more before I take on anything overly ambitious that could lead to rejection. I also need ideas!  Though I have a few ideas! They are weird though! Like watching Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam better known as Turkish Star Wars with somebody without subtitles. I would also love to watch Gakkou Gurashi!/School Live  With someone who hasn’t seen it yet nor knows what it is. I just made those up though so there is still some other ideas in my brain! Including completely in text and trust based Batsu games but I am not sure who’d I’d trust with that!

Finally I plan to do another giveaway! That will be tomorrow! It will be a game again because I haven’t found a place yet where they give plushies by code! I am really excited about tomorrow’s giveaway! It’s a bit of a bigger gift then Ducktales but a bit less of a personal gift! Pretty luxurious though! So make sure to check back! Paradise 2.0.6 : Restyling Pinkie’s Paradise!

I am so happy! With just 20 days till my blog anniversary! I launch a new style?! Why now and not the anniversary?! Well mostly because I  want to build up to Blog Birthday Week.. an event I have not planned yet at all but I bet will be amazing! Also.. honestly! The old look had some inconveniences.. which I rather patch out sooner rather than later! I just waited until now because well.. that’s how far head already worked by the time I finished this. Anyway let’s talk about the restyle! 

My pink sand background had an ugly cutting line in between. I never truly noticed this until recently. After I knew it had to change! So after searching hour after hour for a loopable pink cute tropical seeming thing I gave up. It did not exist at least not in a shape that could please me!

So I expanded my gaze and found these adorable sparkling pink and white cloud  things! Which were amazing! They should be perfectly Looped and non seizure inducing sparkly. I always favoured a pink and white colour scheme but opted for a more sunset like vibe in the blogs original design.  Due to a few changes in WordPress I can no longer adhere to said theme without constantly having to copy paste hex codes which is a hassle given the way I work. So instead we lean more into the cutesie vibes with the Island vibe coming more from in post flavorings and the menus itself etc. Sparkly ribboned clouds is on brand! So I will use them! It looks less yanky than before! The sparkles aren’t super smooth but I think I mentioned I like a slight clunk before!

I also chose to gave up the sand and sunset coloured  post background. The reason here is quite simple! It will save me SOOOOO much editing time. Plenty of items I use have a white background. While the site was yellow that meant editing out said white background and make it transparent which could take loads of time! Especially if my image also features something white.. like a Gardevoir or a PS5.  It just cost me time I felt I could best spend elsewhere!  Why not make things easier for yourself every now and again. From an editing stance it makes sense as well. Images I design are made to look good on a light background (as that is how Photoshop shows them) and not my eggnog yellowy one, so this way I think my creations pop out a bit more! And I can get away with a lot more sloppy cutting! Rejoice! I can cheat! Which sometimes is a good thing!

Of course the biggest change is that we move away from my beloved Chibi Pinkie into my commissioned one. She has been used in a lot of posts recently  so I am sure you saw her around. This avatar comes with 10 emotions spread across 3 different poses. She was designed by the incredibly talented Bananabel_Split who works for quite a soft price!  I just send her Picrew Pinkie and Chibi maker Pinkie was well as a scrap book of emotes  and suggestions and we got to work together! Communication was crystal clear delivery was super fast and I could not be happier with the result! Well.. that is not completely true I would have been happier with the results if I had some cookies when I watched them.. ir if I found a bunch of money ..but you guys who what I mean!  I am happy to provide you with a link to her fiver page!  Check her work out right here!  And of course I present you with all the Pinkies! 

A new avatar also comes with a new favicon but more importantly a new header! Because  well .. the avatar is on the banner!  So gone is the sunset design and because it fitted more with the white and pink theme we now have a sunny beach design filled with pink characters from every field i review!  Pink shirt Vegeta represents anime, while Pinked up Scrooge Mcduck represents my love for gaming. The Pink Sentai is there for movies and tv series.. mostly because there aren’t to many pink movie characters and I just found it super cute!  The beholder is there since I love DnD and it and Luma , the Pink Eldritch child behind Vegeta represent my chaos and my own fiction!  There is a few cute things down below that represent the island vibe! The banner represents what I stand and write about just like the other banner but instead of the iconography route I chose icons people will recognise.  The palm trees by the blog name have been replaced by some cute coconut cocktails which brings me to our next subject!

Starting with this post, and hopefully retroactively my last 9 posts (the number of posts my main page displays)  will be displayed in new forms of cocktails! New featured images to be displayed on my home page and on social media and stuff! Where before I had a glass for each form of content cocktail editing those to be of passable quality was hard and I often missed a lot of tiny details!  These featured images also were a bit to big!  So I now opted for a universal coconut with a hole in it for every form of content. I just slide a image behind it and  Erase a bit of excess material and tadaa I am done! Now of course I would not leave you to guess what I am writing about so the type icons are back! For those with a keen eye they even have different colour umbrellas! We got Blue for movies because Bluevie sounded cute, we got ameranth for anime, green for games , grey for geeky lifestyle, purple for pokemon and red for writer posts! Now that last one might not look like a match but write red sounds like it alliterates! So it counts! Oh and the cute little animal companion for Geeky Lifestyle has been replaced! A panda instead of a d20! Because the panda much more reflects my lifestyle! Don’t worry though! Dicey is still around as well!

Those are not the only new coconuts around! I opened Camp Coconut, this is like a hall of fame for my Kofi supporters, or others who significantly contributed to my blog! For example for providing Artwork or a collab Buddy! The biggest supporter is crowned King Coconut! If you find yourself represented in camp coconut you can send me any link you like people can visit by clicking your coconut… no NSFW though.  Your avatar will have a cute little story next to it in which I thank you. If you support me more your coconut can evolve with me adding stuff to it based on what I know about you! Except for King Coconut ( or Queen/Crowned) they just stand above the rest and can if they show choose drop a little text of their own in the camp! This may also contain another link if you so prefer or be omitted if you do not want to! King Coconut will be praised on Twitter with an @ during full moon! (For me) I am weird huh! If camp Coconut expands more features might be unlocked. I know it’s weird but it’s at least something. To have a link you don’t persé need a content channel. If you want to Rickroll people by clicking on your coconut.. that’s fine as well.. or PFUDOR-bomb them. You know just something to have fun with as a thank you for your support. 

So my Ko-Fi Banner featured the Chibi and a now old meme so that had to go as well! It has now been replaced with the much more tranquil banner, Put a little coffee in your cocktail! Since it’s a home-made button that will be at the end of my content cocktails I thought that made sense! The alcreamie depicted in the picture with me, is my loyal Whippy, the alcreamie I use in my Pokémon Shield game, it matches well with coffee! Since I can’t afford the business plan for WP yet and have no access to plugins, this is the button that will take you! Of course that is never required! I appreciate regular followers, comments and likes as well so please do not think me mentioning this is more than me just discussing the picture and new appreciation system. It’s just something I think looks pretty cute! And less dated than Toss a Coin to your Pinkie. 

I also made a custom OWLS asset! Recently we have been given a new Owls Mascotte, I think his name was Sir Hoot, but that might be my imagination or one of my dialogues! I wanted to feature the the new OWL but of course I had to make it feel like it belongs! So I gave it a pink hair ribbon! Sir Hoot can dress the way it wants! No judgment here! This way it feels a bit like my version and my pet OWL!. I also gave it a cute pink background so sit on..because that is a colour theme for this site if you haven’t noticed! The picture will still link you to the OWLS blog and in my OWLS post I will use the actually official image of course! As a still image on my site though it will have it’s ribbon! Look how proud he looks with that Ribbon!

Now not the final piece of new assets I made is an improved review system! I felt too often I lacked something being Okiwi and something being Berry Good, so Pine-meh-pple evolved and became Fine-apple and moved in between his old neighbour Kiwi and the recent berry replacement strawberry! Strawberry felt a bit more resort-like, I once played some weird beach volleyball game where girls kept feeding each other those! Not sure why .. I would eat them myself! Anyway they where in a resort and I saw no blueberries there so we made the swap. Blueberry is now my bath-time companion! Mango also has had a makeover and now is tied in the style of the others. Sub-Pear, the Sub Par Pear portmanteau has moved into Mehple’s place and now we have a more nuanced and readable review system that is more in house style.

Finally my contact form is fixed so it sends emails to a viable address so that page got updated as well, including some rules of conduct for sending mails! If anyone ever used the contact form to send me anything I am sorry I missed that! It’s not because I do not like you or think you are unworthy of my time, it’s because each day the old address gave me like 463 horoscope posts and 73 pokemon ones. It’s fixed now though so if you want to e-mail take advantage now!  Before I break it again! I am terrible in administrative stuff so that breaking still will happen! The About Page  will change a little while after the release of this post depending on my schedule by then! I could not upload that early because of spoilers and all!

Now for the font lovers, I doubt you are out there, I changed those as well. My titles are now Fertigo Pro Italic and the main text is now in Pt Serif. I think it feels just slightly more like a hotel flyer like this with quite readable superscript whom I have fallen in love with over the past couple of weeks. If you have any trouble reading things please let me know but I think readability should have really improved! All things considered at least. The Menu also has been fixed, now the Pokémon Cocktail Menu Item should take you to everything with the Pokémon Category instead of everything with the Pokémon Tag! It glitched before! The Temtem cocktail has been removed, it took them to long to fix chat and I fell out of love with it the lonely experience. I might be returning to it after summer.

Pinkiespokemon.com has been stopped as a domain so now there is only Paradise! For those who visit my site through URL means they might get bounced to an inactive domain. I haven’t quit I am still here! And since you are reading this, I do assume you found it. This post will be shared on twitter a few times should it turn out that my numbers are down though to address that.  That about covers the changes but not all the plans! I have big once for the future.  So if you are checking this out in reader, please visit the actual site and check how awesome it has become! Thank you for sticking by me for so long! Pinku Pinku Updato: A Blog Update

Konichiwa Mina, it is time for a little update concerning your favorite Pink Geek Blogger who resides on a virtual island that is not build on a Nintendo Switch. This specific descriptor would most likely also be true if I used least favorite Pink geek Blogger (and so on) but let’s focus on the positives here! Today I will tell you a bit about what is to come for Paradise and update you on all things me.

One Year Anniversary Overhaul

On the 16th of June this blog will celebrate it’s first birthday and it will lead into a bit of a visual overhaul for the website! We will start using our new custom-made avatar that has been made to order by the lovely Banabel Split. Also I will most likely go for a slightly overhauled colour scheme. Reason for this is that I am currently fighting a lot with the WordPress Editor. I currently use a sunset colour scheme, pink purples and warm yellows  for my paragraph and subparagraph titles, but the current WordPress Editor  make that difficult. I am not one to paste hex codes (mostly because I constantly forget where I save them or finding the file is such a hassle)  so I slide this with feeling. However in the current block editor I can not slide.. Nani! Mendokusē!

The paragraph titles will continue to be a thing though. When I was a little Pinkie, my favorite game magazine used these and I fell in love with it as it’s charm. I would look at those titles first and wonder what the magic was to come. Their cheeky writing and those tongue in cheek references made with a good title inspired me and every form of “magazine” style writing I did kept this in as an homage in what got me interested to it in the first place. I might make picture asses for them next but I haven’t figured it out yet completely! Obviously the banner art will change as well as those feature the chibi and we are moving on to the new avatar.

The Content cocktails will most likely remain but undergo slight differences. I will most likely make them different colours and add some pink elements to it rather than  different glass types. A few of them are a lot harder to edit than others  and at times I find it hard to tell the differences. Pink however will keep a important role in the  blog no matter what route we follow otherwise. Pinkie will stay pink!

Love to my Supporters

Now it’s been a while since I started adding in Ko-Fi support and I have received a fair number of donations to date, some rather sizeable even. In the nearby future I want to create a tribute to those who support me. Either by featuring them in some sort of post or making an image on the website dedicated to thanking them.  For some reason I don’t always get to respond to a donation. Sometimes I am not able to post a reaction to it. This makes me feel bad for I am always grateful. So rather than writing a thank you note simply saying thank you every time.. I want to craft you something to show you my appreciation. A tribute image, your pick of a topic for a blog anything really.

My health is not always stable with a fair form of urgency at some time, which basically makes me forget everything else I was doing. So if I am doing my social duties and my heart skips a beat, literally I need to lie down and this can easily take away from my social requirements. Twitter, Ko-Fi and other places. My love for what you do for is worth more than just a thank ,  it’s something more eternal.. so I feel  an empty reply of gratitude even when sincere.. even more so considering how easily my focus can be lost,  is a much better way to show my gratitude. But I will come up with a few “bonuses” as well. This will probably also be implemented around the anniversary.

Content updates

For those who have been following me for a while know I have been trying out a few different types of content and this will remain. However I will bring changes to some of them.

-A BIT of History will be replaced with a BIT of Nostalgia, in which I discover a wider variety of games of my past.  While I love doing the weird content hard locking myself into games set into a certain timepiece increasing in time feels arduous, like I have to play a game.  In the end I need to blog for myself rather than for content sake, so I want to play what I want to play and the rebranded format will allow me to to this way better.

-Pinkie’s Who Would Win will  continue however my next announced match Batman versus Kyouko Kirigiri in a game of clue will be postponed. I find myself in a narrative end with that one and rather then forcing it I decide to let the ideas come up more spontaneous.. or by readers and supports of course.  So now the next post will be a surprise.

-Pinkie gets Anime Powers will also continue to go on. The next one is almost done cooking in my head and will discuss Soul Eater. 

– Pinkie is looking for a Waifu will be dropped. For now I am not in the right mindset to find a Waifu nor for Yuri romance shows.  The ones I do want to watch are fairly long and will most likely be included in my Saturday Morning Anime Adventure, or potentially in me duplicating that adventure on Sundays!

– Precure Pinkie will be cancelled for now as well.  While I do like the show in essence it’s to generic for me to binge it. It will most likely be part of my Sunday Morning Lineup with one episode a week.

Other than that I will experiment with blog post I have fun writing with, I had a bit of blog depression recently and was measuring likes again. Each post that stuck below my normal average of likes must be bad…. so I should not do it?!  People do not care.. stuff  has been messing with my mind. I decided to let that go. I write when I want to write and what I want to write about, if such a post will get a lower like rating I am sure it will cry but I will talk to it and honestly say that I loved making it and that it’s  about the love that got put into it is what matters, That will cheer up both the post and myself I would think!

Life Updates

As a NEET I am not particularly badly struck with the Corona outbreak but it has messed with my head a bit.  In a way it hyper inflated the importance of like on this blog for me, after all this one of the few forms of social interaction available to me .. if people start liking it less that really hurt. This triggered a bit of an awkward spiral where visiting other people’s blog has become a bit harder as well, because my mind tricked me into feeling people hate me and just like to be polite but hope I would go away. To a point where I dreamed people booing me… some of you have WEIRD depictions in my dreams.

I am beginning to notice I am able to manage some more consistency on my blog. I am having the energy again to blog several days in a row, I have more fun in writing now that I just write for fun again instead of for stats. In a way I accepted I am not the greatest writer out there and that I most likely will never be.  I am just a hobby writer who has fun in what she does, that became good enough for me. I got intimidated by the intellectual pieces by some of you out there. How Girl’s last Tour is like epic stage plays, how there are deep allegories of this and that in that show.

I am more like a “I got so excited i nearly peed myself’ kinda depth. That felt trivial.. like I paint by numbers but the others paint their own Da Vinci like masterpieces from their hand. Yet I realized, sometimes  people prefer McDonalds over a Three Star Meal, so while I might be the less coveted blog I am still here. I might be junk food, but that can be good as well! I want some junkfood now! And it’s like 10 AM when I am writing this!

Healthwise I have been so and so, due to a damaged lung I have a lot of trouble when temperatures bounce up and down a lot between day and night and between days. If on Monday it’s ten degrees colder than it was the previous day at the same time, I am basically broken.  My heart has been remarkable kind to me lately with only some very minor incidents.. so yay Ticker.  In general my muscles have been a bit tenser laterly causing me some mild discomfort throughout the day but all in all I am doing rather soundly healthwise. Even though I am sick a lot!

Unfortunately the same can not be said about my grandpa, who has been diagnosed with Corona this past week. Due to his phase 4 dementia it oftenly is hard to gage how well he is actually doing.  This is causing some family stress , so should I vanish for a couple of days on end, it’s most likely because something happened there and my headspace is not right. 

Other Updates

My tabletops have been come to a bit of a halt during the crisis. Since I live in a tiny apartment, I can’t maintain distance from my party and I do want to keep the rules enforced. Since some of my friends dislike rp’ing online I was forced to put my main D&D campaign on hold but we continue with some filler content set in the same world with some of those who do not mind this so much, Side Stories of their guild as it were. 

My Pokémon RP however is on a hiatus because their character sheets are custom made and are very tricky to host online due to how much tabs and stat pages I need to have opened.

My homebrew fully online campaign is still going strong.  Currently the group found out that their Live Stream has been duplicated by some people posing to be them.. but offering more rewards for watching. To safe their income.. and a friend who got in trouble because of this the group now must learn each others fighting styles, and secrets about each other so that even if they know they get tricked they can tell each other apart. It will be a fun little series of event leading them through a hotel filled with tricks and hellish creatures not taking kindly to their new guests.

I’ve been picking up some retro games lately, while I still thoroughly enjoy my time with Animal Crossing, my island is almost “done”  there isn’t a whole lot left to build and since I don’t like grinding I made my Island rather convenient for a quick pass by! I am currently playing Super Mario 2 for NES and will play Ducktales after that, after which I will probably  either go for Mega Man 2  or Ninja Gaiden.  It will not be easy but I am sure I can do it!

Meanwhile I am still playing Pokémon Reborn, currently making my way to the fourth gym with 23 level 45 shines to attempt the gym with. This still proves to be somewhat of a challenge to me mostly because I am too cheap to buy potions!  My next shiny hunt will most likely be after my online tabletop tomorrow. That is if I can get the epic boss fight today!

My quest to find a new apartment has not been very fruitful.. it almost seems as if people are staying in these days not moving!  Next week some enqueteer will come to my door to ask questions about what I think of this place. Not looking forward to that. Our walls are not very soundproof , so neither are my neighbors an my main gripes is with one of them. That shall not end well if I say it though.. so I am not sure on how to approach that situation yet.  Perhaps I can convince them that I have to get better at Ninja Gaiden to make a fun blog about it and I will mail them my answers..like a ninja anonymously!
